I have been really impressed with the Ego tools. I have almost all of them. If they made a basic attachment to let you put it on the back of a tractor it would be awesome
It seems like when my EGO tools 'overload' and shut down, it's because I'm asking too much from a small battery. With a big snow blower battery, I can use the 765 cfm leaf blower on turbo like forever, or until I get tired, but it hasn't cut off yet. And I haven't swapped out the battery for weeks. I like all the tools for the most part.
Oh yeah! The next video coming out is me installing a privacy fence using both a bobcat auger and this auger, showing the difference. Stay tuned for the next one!
That's what I came for, this clearly doesn't work in rocky soil. I have a lot of shale/rocks and even with a two man auger - it can throw to operators in my soil. I ended up getting a guy in with a kanga/bobcat style machine to get through the soil and sometimes the rocks would just push the auger off course
I have never used Ryobi 40V tools. I tried the 18V tools 20 years ago and they’re actually decent for the price back then. Good luck with your project!
You can't tell how much charge is left with that light meter on there. It has something to do with the steep charge curve of the lithium battery. You could charge it up with a watt meter plugged in to tell how much energy it takes to charge it. I think it's real shitty you have to register it within 30 days of purchase. I also have a ego chainsaw and didn't know about the 30 day rule. That's a dirty trick to play on unaware customers.
The charger is not included. One option is the tool only the other option is the tool p l u s the battery no charger same thing with the ice auger on Amazon I couldn't get there with your link but I went to Amazon and saw it
@@TheExcellentLaborer I understand the charger is not available with any option I thought you said in the video near the beginning that one of the packages includes the battery as well as the charger
04:10 "they do make one that comes with your batteries and everything." One battery yes everything know that would be the charger that doesn't come in any way shape or form so I listen to the video a few times but like I say I understand what you're saying but there's no everything😂
That would be so awesome! I try to get out videos that take a lot of time to make. I usually get out three a month. Sometimes only two depending on the length of the video. I never would have guessed I would even be thinking about 1 million subscribers just a few years ago. Thanks a lot for your support!
@@TheExcellentLaborer Consistency and quantity I think is key. But since you are near 600K I think the rate of subscribers will increase since you videos are so informative.

Another top notch fully descriptive video. You may also have just become all the rabbit's best friend out in that field. Great bunny condos.

It is a good auger. That would be a cool attachment idea. Thanks for watching!
Great video. I think another important pro is the reverse feature. The comparable gas powered augers don't have reverse.
Oh yes, good point. Thanks for your input!
Thanks for this review.
No problem I hope that helps!
AWWWsome EGO Earth Auger !
I think so!

Makes ya wanna rent a bobcat with an auger attachment, doesn’t it? lol

Well you'll probably answer during the video but I'm going to ask at the beginning is this okay for rocky soil
Yes, I go into detail about rocky soil. It is what you would expect, you need assistance with a digging bar once you hit rock.

Do you have any experience with the ryobi 40v alternative? I’m deciding between the two and this would be my first electric lawn tool.

Do they have a extension for deeper holes?
👌👍
Thanks for watching!
My favorite video
Awesome! Thank you!
Call before you dig...lol

Yes, I explained that in the video. I placed a link for both of them. I already had batteries so I just needed the tool. I hope that helps!

I am pretty confident if you do around 3-4 videos a month you will hit 1M subscribers by the end of the year! Hope I am right.
