Attack On Titan is unique because it shows perspective. This isn't the typical Shonen anime where the main character always makes the right decision, It's an anime where it shows us the true horrors of perspective and how any character in Attack On Titan could be the main character. Just look at Ymir, she was just a normal scout in Season 1 and when I was watching the first season in 2013, I thought she was an annoying show off, but after Season 2 I realised how much I didn't know about her character and we find out she has a tragic background and her life has just been a living hell until the moment she found out Historia's real name. She knows that Reiner and Bertholdt aren't infiltrating the island because they want to, it's because they were forced to due to their own personal experience. This anime just goes to show us how we shouldn't judge a character because of their attitude or looks, we have to look deeper into that and be in their perspective.
That right there, is a fact sir.... RESPECT!
I really don't get this argument at all, literally everything you've listed has happened in other shounens before and after this one. Let's be honest you just like this series so much you are looking to revere it in any way possible.
@@tonyplays8083 true but it's not like it was unpredictable in fact a lot of it was glaringly obvious that the question at that point was "so isayama what's the last twist gonna be?" and he basically replied "love". I wouldn't even say I'm a hater but this series came off as too gimmicky once they reached the basement. And the philosophy is done in black and white more than gray making the series shallow more than deep.
