I use fake Golf Pride for years, and they are not as soft as the real ones in the long run. But I continue to buy and use the fake, I don't see the point spending 15€ per grip on a set I bought second hand for 200€ or 300€
I bought some MCC Plus4 on Temu. They have the markings on the bottom that your real one did. Mine also had the shrink wrap on the butt head with all the correct info, like SKU and "Made in Taiwan". The only indication I can see that they are fake is the seam, like with yours, is more visible. I went to a PGA Superstore and look at they grips, and felt the seams weren't as tight as your real one. One question, did yours have the shrink wrap on the butt end when you got them? Thank for the excellent video.
The shrink wrap on the real Golf Pride grips I usually buy from Golf Galaxy can be easily removed by twisting them. However, I couldn't remove the shrink wrap from the grips I bought on Amazon this time. Will it become difficult to remove as it gets older? Anyway, I looked closely and saw the joint line that appeared in this video. Those are the fake😭 Please buy real grips at a good store like golf galaxy and golfworks. Thank you for your clear explanation.
I use the fakes. if you have a simulator at home you'll go through grips in about 4-5 months tops so I change them regularly regardless if real or fake. They do feel the same, the most telling point is the shit paint peels off about about 2-3 rounds. Love the Adidas bag mate.
Lucky for me my golf buddy Bryan who is in most of my videos, not only builds clubs but also has a wholesale account with several companies so i got my mine through official channels and got the discount. Lol. Its nice to know people sometimes.
Good video. Ill stick with real. Good golfers switch grips twice a year mostly. Unless a tour pro of course. I change grips once a year. Its affordable to do it right.
It's 100 percent not the same company. By the smell alone you can tell different chemicals and materials are used. The other give away is the cording never feels as soft. Fake grips are more firm.
a fundamental flaw in this video is....he's assuming the grip that came with the clubs are genuine. the real challenge would be him picking out the fake from a real one from just the grips uninstalled. lol
Ive been considering buying fakes. Unless youre a scratch or better golfer, it is going to have no effect on your game. Also, condidering most ppl only regrip once every year to three years, it doesnt really matter one way or the ither. Just get what you can afford.

They feel good to me, definitely better than playing with old grips, same here, I’ve never had a problem with fake grips

yes it came with shrink wrap, but wait the real one is not a standard grip it's an undersize so that may be why
Was wondering if the top of the fake grips had cord in it? Thanks for the video.
not sure about that, but honesly my son uses these grips and he loves them, I think it's not that big of a deal
@@thebackyardgolfer7010 thanks for your response.

Yes, but them at the store, but I think the fake ones are not so bad
Nice video keep them coming
Thank you

Yeah, original grips are just too expensive, thanks yes I bought the tour bag a while back
the fake one has fewer cord fibre on the grip. The quality is not the same. The font is also bigger and brighter.
I guess if you look closely you can see a lot of differences
I dont think ive used the nock offs. I did just regrip to some new golf pride mc's but i also regrip every year.
Honestly I thought they were original when I boutht them, it was supposed to be a great deal, only to find out that they were fake.....just be careful

@@MilesMartinGolf yeah, you're very lucky indeed, that's awesome

Just make sure they’re the original ones, they’re do similar
Can’t be the same company making both, obviously.
not sure to be honest, I think it does happen in other industries like vehicles and other products
It's 100 percent not the same company. By the smell alone you can tell different chemicals and materials are used. The other give away is the cording never feels as soft. Fake grips are more firm.
Yeah, they're made in completely different countries
Counterfeit Golf Pride grips are made of a cheaper material than rubber
They feel very similar, unless they’re just a different quality
a fundamental flaw in this video is....he's assuming the grip that came with the clubs are genuine. the real challenge would be him picking out the fake from a real one from just the grips uninstalled. lol
I think it’s not worth it, they’re both very similar, would not spend that extra $10 for a grip, probably comes from the same factory

There is no big difference in my opinion, it might even be the same factory, just a different quality for what I know
Nice video, but I would not recommend fake grips on youtube even if it is >50% cheaper.
That's why I just use lamkin grips they are original and cheap and there are no fake versions, I think they cost about $8-10 per grip
