Do you have to move the Mevo directly behind the putting surface when putting or does it just stay in one spot
Moe Norman was famous for this.
yes I know, I finally was able to shallow the club after many years, ulnar is the way to go for me
Man after all these years you still have that same swing. Alot of us try and change our natural swing because we saw someone else's. Love how you just tweaked small things to yours to get more consistent shots but maintained your natural swing. Nice shot btw lol
@@4pitts1burgh28 thanks, the main thing that I changed was ulnar deviation on my downswing I got the club a little shallow it was wait too steep before
@thebackyardgolfer7010 ya but you still got your unique follow through. Same swing just a better plain
@ thank you
The jumbomax grips are ultra lite so the weight is pretty close if not the same as standard grips. So swing weight shouldn’t be impacted much.
I didn't know that, I really have to try them on my irons I think that is the only way to really know the difference. I did feel Carlo's irons much ligther thatn mine on the head, thought it was because of the grips
There are no fake grips.. only inflated American 🇺🇸 prices…. They are manufactured in same Asian country… wake up and save money
That is what I think too, it's just rubber
@ ya. I just bought 13 Golf pride cp2 jumbo’s. On Temu for $40. They are $10 ea on Amazon. Exact same grips.. they’re thick not flimsy. I had my doubts… no longer…. Golf pride manufacturer grips in Taiwan (a republic of China). Temu a Chinese commerce company…. The fake grips is hype like Covid jab!
@ I will do the same, thanks
Soft spikes sells a 2 piece kit that sales for $9.99. One piece grabs the spike and twist it out. The second tool inserts the new spike easily
@@reubenvalles917 I’ll check it out thanks
Tour Read is like carry a pocket level in your pocket. Dumb. What you want is a fast and easy and accurate green reading system. THATS CALLED AIM POINT EXPRESS. YOU DONT NEED TOUR READ.
@@tessp100d4 I like aimpoint its a good system, but it takes time to learn how to read greens
@ I took one lesson 10 years ago. I never looked back. It’s an especially good system with big breaking putts. I’m amazed how many I make or get close from 50-70’ with 4-8 ‘ of break. Really works.
Great loose swing. May I ask the grip pressure in scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the lightest? TIA
thanks, I would say 5 on this one, when I start to grap too hard I tend to slice or hook, on my best drives I feel I go down to a 3, but I have to be in the zone
Awesome. Thanks my friend.
Very interesting. I tried mid and large tour velvet before. I didn’t like either. Played with z align last year thinking I could get more consistent. I’m re gripping my drivers and hybrids with regular cord grips “ sweaty summer hands” but with extra tape under right hand. If I stick with my current gear. Looking for a better glove too. ✌️
I think you have to get used to it, I will do more testing maybe at the course with my own irons to really know the difference. I do like the fact that the thicker the grips the softer they are on your joints, it does make sense
The JumboMax grip is very much more comfortable because you don’t grip the club like with standard grips…you hold the club with JumboMax They last longer and real easy to put on your shafts and to take them off if need be Not sure why you couldn’t shape the ball … it can be done I’ve had them on my clubs for about 5 years … I don’t see me going back to standard again
@@bayougolf7524 I will test them at the course, I’ll just remove mine with compressed air and then put it back on, it’s the only way to really know if they’re good for me.
Well ... the leap of faith to switch to something like this. I game the JumboMax Ultralite medium and ... I will not likely ever go smaller. So comfortable and I can game gloveless as there is no squeeze needed to keep the club in hand. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
I didn't know you had them, I really like them, but I will have to fit them into my clubs to really know the difference
@thebackyardgolfer7010 I bet you will not regret it at all. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
I’ve got the Jumbomax grips got them in the xs as recommended in the online fitting absolutely love them
@@rickystanford169 they were really soft in my wrists, I will try them at the course next time with my own irons

It has to do with one thing only: swing speed
@@Joe-xg3pj it think it’s more to do with weight and kick point
@ if you look at the mechanical golf swing arm, it tells you: swing speed has to match shaft flex to maximize distance.
@@Joe-xg3pj I agree, but some players are more aggressive on their downswing and not necessarly have faster swing speeds, that's why I think it's more to do with kickpoint and shaft weight
@@thebackyardgolfer7010 possibly but I’d go with the machine. I am 68. I just switched to flex. (I’m on the border- but not getting any younger). When I swing as hard as I can, my old clubs hit further than flex. When I slow my swing down, my flex clubs go further than if I swing slower with my regular flex clubs.
it also depends on the type of shaft, many players are switching to graphite shafts on their irons with stiff flex, they are easier, but these shafts are expensive
Would these shafts be good for a beginner/8 months of playing looking at these in a set of mizuno 921 hot metal irons i want
definitely good for a beginer, but also for all levels, these shafts are really smooth like butter, you'll feel the difference for sure.
great video
Thank you very much, I hope it helped
Is their any apps that traces the ball and that shows apex and carry ?
@@Steven-de3bf no, you have put that data, unless you’re using a launch monitor like mevo plus, the yes it will display the data and the shot tracer
Did you say what the temperature was? Winter golf is no fun … besides the layers of clothing your showing here takes distance from you ….don’t forget about what ball your using as it to can subtract distance A lower compression ball works better when the temperature is below 70 degrees Fahrenheit …golf balls don’t like it ether when it’s cold The stuff we do in the winter months to keep playing just shows how great this game is 👍⛳️👍
Beat me to it
it's cold, 39 degrees fahrenheit, not fun at all. So lower compression balls? I didn't know that, I have some supersoft balls from Callaway, I'll try them out, thanks

I typically play from the reds, because my drives just go like 160. People think it's so easy to do that, but the chips are the key and that doesn't matter where your tee off.
Yes, exactly, that is what I was thinking, you still have to chip and putt, otherwise, there is no actually benefit.
What about winter time?
there are outdoor heaters, they were there when I was there, it's never cold
my thoughts exactly too. I like the stiff shaft as I feel more control. Great vid !!
definitely more control, thank you
I like them
@@richcole6287 these and the hex softs are pretty good
I recently picked up a set of brand new old stock N415 Callaway Irons and took them to the Sim and was pulling 9/10 shots. I thought it was me, so went out to the range today (unusual 60* day here in CO) with my OLD Dunlop Seve Ballesteros and was hitting everything straight down the range even from 3i down to PW. I might need to do some more experimenting with different offset clubs.
@GregHuston yes it’s not you, blades have little offset and most people will hit pushes, the more offset the more it will go left. Same with me my old taylormade clubs had too much offset, always missed left, changed to callaway apex, started to hit straighter shots
I have like 150
@protipseskil6920 I can get to 150 with new balls, but they’re crack after a week. I want to get consistent at 147-148 with older balls, but I only get to 144 consistently, still more work, better tempo… what balls do you use?
I agree what a deal!!🏌♂⛳😀 Hope you have a great start into the New Year!!
thanks, just getting ready for a good winter practice, all the best to you as well!
Thank you
@@haircole hope it helps 👌

What a deal!
yes it was, I will spend my savings on a new golf impact screen!
Wow 50$ is cheap for that good of a golf simulator!
Thanks, yes I was lucky
Awesome deal indeed. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

Rebiew lol 😆 Say it with me Review
I have a stiff shaft and a slow swing speed... and I know the logic is to go regular/senior... but at this point... it has more to do with feel than performance.
@@jdramirez77 go with what you feel best, it also has to do with the kickpoint of the shaft and the weight
Great video. I think you hit on the nail concerning stiff vs regular. I was in the same boat too between stiff and extra stiff. In the end, slightly stiffer than stiff was the sweet spot. Try this next time, Fujikura makes Ventus with VeloCore driver shafts, and whatever they have is slightly stiffer than normal. Kinda like regular + .25 stiffness. Do not buy their Ventus TR, as it's actually stiff - .25 for lack of better word. Also, with modern LS driver heads, you'll get an extra 7% to 15% depending on where you strike the ball. With Ventus stiff blue 60 and Cobra LTDx LS, I was able to increase my drive distance by 15 to 20 yards! Swing speed is around 103mph for reference.
THanks, yes I want to try the Ventus stiff blue velocore, but they are very expensive, I was able to increase my swing speed to 99 mph with carry of 250 max, I wonder if I could increase my distance with those velocore shafts
@@thebackyardgolfer7010 I got mines second hand off of ebay. The shaft itself won't change your carry distance, but help with tighten your dispersion, which gives you the confidence to swing faster. It's that and the combination of a modern LS driver head that will help you achieve longer distance.
@ I will look for one, thanks
The reinforcement looks good. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Some reinforcement will always help for sure. Looks good. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

This is why they're good: natural turf on ranges are sandy. I'm a digger, and the range causes me to sweep the ball too much. The club-turf interaction is horrible.
for sure you do not want to hit on sandy mats, it's horrible, I found out the hard way. After cleaning this mat, it's not that bad at all, obviously there are other mats that are better, but you will have to replace them, unless you get one of those realfeel mats that are super thick
Sorry, but those examples are NOT ulnar deviation. It is just the arms and hands dropping straight down.
@@azcharlie2009left wrist going down is ulnar deviation, you can see this with the hackmotion, it’s not flexion, that’s why I had it wrong for the longest time
@@thebackyardgolfer7010 The angle of the wrist is not changing in the examples you're showing. The hands and arms are just dropping from the rotation of the lower body. Ulnar deviation is a change in the angle, not the direction it's going. However, when you approach impact, there is a massive amount of rotation of the wrists, and some slight ulnar deviation due to centrifugal force. In your case, yes. You had way too much ulnar deviation at the start of the back swing. What you need at the start of the back swing is radial deviation, or increasing the angle of the wrist.
@ this was the beginning, I started ulnar ulnar to get the right feeling, then I started doing radial on my takeaway and ulnar on my downswing. With the Hackmotion you can clearly see this
You have some beautiful mountains in the background!
Thank you
Yup, I was working on the same thing today. My “Medicus power meter”mounted on Titleist 910 D2 was repeating 93 mph. My top speed last year was 104. I like to slap it on before I drive to check if I’m running out of gas. ✌️
104 is very good, I can get stock speed of 96, but my max is 102 and I can't do more than 1 in a row at that speed, need to work on it...I notice that the slowing the takeaway the faster the swing speed, it's all about tempo
Love watching your video. The view on a golf course is always great but yours is next level!!
Thank you very much
Good tip! I’ve been looking at golf mats. Like rugs they hide the dirt. Hitting off mats help with my eye hand coordination, and muscle memory. ✌️
Mat as great unlike what many people say, just watch out for all the dust they accumulate, especially if you use it outdoors
I can’t imagine how much dust is in my mat. It’s 5 years old!
@@slpbasketballer9 I tried washing it first, not much came out, you have to use a spray gun, but if your mat is indoors, it's probably not that bad

Great review. I’ve had these for about a month …mannnnnnn I threw my old wedges away so quick. The grip, accuracy and feel are just great. I almost want to buy a second pair just to have in the corner of the house for emergency purposes
Thanks, they're pretty good, love the grooves on the club face and check around the greens
I’ve been using Birdieballs for a couple of years now and really enjoy them The distance is about 40-45 yards for most of my clubs and the distance for my driver is not that much further but I’m still practicing my driver on wet practice days off there foam type tee on the there hitting board that’s made out of the same tuff material….it’s a good board When you hit the Birdieballs they make a cool sound and the ball flight is correct for that distance so you can adjust your swing if need be They are tuff little things… I’ve ran over them before with my lawnmower and they pop out with not even a scratch I highly recommend them for practice where you don’t have enough room and like I said the sound they make is enjoyable 👍⛳️👍
@@bayougolf7524 that’s what I thought a max of 50 yards, not sure when it’s windy, but they feel great, good alternative to real golf balls, you have plenty of space in your yard, could probably build a hole, but going to the course it’s easier!
My backyard ... is pretty small so I'm afraid I will not be buying this one. But ... true to flight is very import. I saw the draw kicking in. Cool product. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
@@metalheads-golf yes, that draw was working, I didn’t want to hit that guy walking!!!
I use plastic and foam... haven't run into this yet
the feeling is a bit better than foam balls, many golfers used it, but you need some space
