Regrip your clubs with Mineral Spirits
An easy way to regrip your golf clubs using mineral spirits. Make sure not to use just water, with mineral spirits you are able to easily slide the grip into the shaft, with compressed air you risk blowing up the grip and with other solvents, it becomes very difficult to slide the grip into the shaft.

Footjoy Traditions how to replace spikes
You took the back off one side of the grip tape.. did you take the other side off as well? So it's sticky both sides? It looks as if you didn't? The grip tape is double sided.

Nice shot
thank you sir
The experience is a lesson by itself. I enjoyed it with you. Golf is such a fluid game, one day you’re crushing the course. Next not so much. I’m resisting the urge to get a GPS or rangefinder. I play five courses in random. It’s a challenge every time. ✌️
Thanks, yes it was quite an experience, I'm still in shock trying to understand everything that happened and trying to implement all the things that I have learnt seeing all these great players
Wow. What al learning curve. Awesome experience. 💪🏻😎🤘🏻
@@metalheads-golf it was very tough, still recovering…
@@thebackyardgolfer7010 💪🏻😎🤘🏻
Most of the yardages in the book are from either distance plates or sprinkler heads. You then need to be able to step off the yardage from there to your ball. This is an older skill that was automatically done before range finder’s.
Exacty I was not comfortable trying to figure out my distances, I need to acquire this skill, little by little
Cool, ... I spotted your next vid already in. 7 over 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
@@metalheads-golf awesome 😎
I did the same thing while qualifying for the phoenix open. Pull all your yardages on the practice rounds and play 4 balls during practice round
For me it was very tough trying to calculate the distances, so now I'm trying to get a feeling for what the distance are withtout a range finder. I was also nerve racking...
great video, you learned so much from it and will make you a better player!
Thank you, I hope so, I'm still recovering mentally, it was really, really tough

I want to thank you. I've been so indecisive looking for a shoe and alot of the reviewers hold the shoe in their hands. It was great watching you play in these from different angle and really enjoyed the look of it along with the sounds of all the details you shared. Thank you, I've ordered these based on your review 👍
You're very welcome, you will not be disappointed, I still have these pair and I'm actually thinking about buying a brand new pair
@@thebackyardgolfer7010 Ah that's great to hear! I actually got lucky with these since I got some vouchers from work that covered most of the cost
lucky you, the spikes are easy to replace too

Good luck bro & Looking 4ward 2 the 2nd 9.

@@jimgilmore7391 love it, I need a 5 or 3 wood though
I have very slow swing speed but I use a regular shaft. Most people would say I should use a senior A flex shaft. I try these from time to time but I just can’t control the club head. I hardly ever hit a straight shot and almost never hit the centre of the club face. With a regular shaft it’s usually straight and mostly near the centre of the club face. The thing that nobody talks about is shaft profile, which I personally think is more important than shaft flex. I can’t get on with shafts that have a low kick point. They make me miss the sweet spot as the club head flips at the bottom of the swing. Next is shaft weight. I think that may be as important, or more important than shaft flex in my opinion. Far better for me is a regular, mid kick point, medium weight shaft. They don’t go as high as a low kick point and/or light shaft and/or more flexible shaft but I fix that with a higher lofted driver. So get fitted and don’t be afraid to try different flexes, flex profiles and shaft weights is the lesson I’ve learnt over the years. You may not be ‘standard’.
Thank you this is very good information, I do agree with you, weight and the kick point for sure seems more important than the actually flex. I'm on a quest to find the best shaft for my driver, but realized that the driver head is also important so I've decided to switch to callaway drivers instead of taylormade drivers

What do you do when it rains?
@@Itsmax717 It only put away the launch monitor and the tv is now hooked to the wall with a cover
Seems like it didn’t bother you, but it sure bothered me watching that guy strut to get his ball while you’re prepping your putt.
True. But it was the practice round....
true, it did bothered me a little bit, I saw it with the back of my eyes, but we had to hurry because we were running out of light
I've always used stiff shafts. I'm getting older and my swing speed is mid-upper 80's. I don't think my ball flight is very high, I average about 215, and I'm usually very straight. (I'm sure much of the problem is my swing, I know it could use a lot of tweaking.) Lately I've been considering getting a regular shaft for my driver to do this same experiment. I'am worried that I my shots won't be as straight. I guess there's a chance for more height and distance, but do I really want to sacrifice my straight shot? Another option is to simply just take some lessons on how to properly hit my driver. lol Excellent video!
@@13vansman I experimented with various shafts and club heads. I’ve been playing taylormade for the longest time, but only now I realized that for my swing I get a lot more distance with a callaway driver, I’ve heard that callaway drives are better for slower swing speeds and I think it’s true. I’m still searching for the perfect combination, good luck sir
@@thebackyardgolfer7010 I had fittings with Callaway, TM, Ping, Srixon, and Cleveland. TM was the only one that suggested a regular flex, the rest were Stiff. I got along best with the Ping G425. I loved the looks and the sound (that everyone hates, lol) I think I’ve had it for just over 2 years now. I didn’t golf much from 2005-2021, so my old driver was my trusty Big Bertha Warbird that I bought new around 1995. I picked the game back up in 2021. My buddies cracked jokes every time I pulled out my driver. It’s so much smaller than today’s drivers. I eventually went to many fitting sessions on the hunt for my next set of clubs that will hopefully last me 10+ years. It is difficult to not want to keep up with the Joneses though.
I switched to callaway, all wedges, all my irons Apex and now just need to update my SIM 2 driver with a good old Rogue Driver
@@thebackyardgolfer7010 I too game the Apex irons. I have the Apex 19. I got them from Callaway preowned a few years back. My main wedges are the Callaway Mack Daddy CB's. I have some other wedges, but the thicker CB's work better for me on most of the courses I play.
do you also have a callaway driver?

It's the driver pal. I've been playing high end TaylorMade for years including yours. I switched to callaway and gained 20 yards. Callaway sit more closed and for lower swing speeds they rocket. Annoying because I want to play TaylorMade
Thanks for this, I've always wonder, I changed to all Callaway wedges jaws, the Callaway apex irons and the one thing left is to change my SIM 2, it's the only club in the bag that I struggle, I was thinking about an old Rogue driver

Coming up short of the green is most likely the higher spin rate of the 3-piece urethane ball compared to the ionomer 2-piece balls you're used to. I've played with the Triad ball and I can testify that it indeed does produce a healthy amount of iron spin. Still a great ball. Thanks for the review!!
Thank you for confirming that, I'm still undecided between these and the 2 piece callaway hex
Loved this review! Great video
thank you!
You are comparing a 83 cent golf ball to a $4.60 a golf ball. That maybe the reason you can't feel the sweet spot. For the price it a great ball. If you want a good three piece golf ball Le😅gato 29.99 amazon and 4 piece Wright and ditson also 29.99. You can't compare one of cheapest ball made to one of the most expensive ball made.
@@jerrysilverstein4055 you’re right, I actually love a two piece golf ball, the callaway hex, they’re perfect for my swing speed
Hi, I see you say your speed is 75-85 and you want to try the stiff flex, did you find the regular flex too soft? I'm undecided whether to order the senior or reg flex as I don't have the opportunity to test it where I live, thanks.
@@RCarlitos getting the right shaft can be very tricky, especially getting the right combination. I now play apex irons with a 95 stiff shaft and they’re great, but I also tried the dynamic gold 115 gram stiff and to my surprise they were awesome. To make it more complicated I also tried 85 gram regular recoil graphite shafts and they didn’t feel as good, you have to try them out. My best guest for you if you have an 80 mph swing with your 7 iron, don’t get senior shaft get a lightweight stiff shaft. Good luck!
@@thebackyardgolfer7010 Thank you very much for the advice, this is very complicated when I don't have test stores where I live, I can only buy and test 😭😭
@@RCarlitos you’ll find the right one eventually 👍
I had my best year ever. Lowered my handicap by 5 to reach solid bogey golf. My golf partner and I won the league we play in Sept. 14th. Now I feel burned out. Took a week off and still feel all golfed out. Not going out until some real motivation hits me like a ton of bricks. I never burned out in tennis, or softball. The Back Yard Golfer is right in that you need time to reflect.
certainly a break helps
My son cracked my driver top crown with too weak grip. I did the same, put the epoxy and it works. I think people are too scared tweaking their golf equipments with "performance issues".
