I know there’s always a bit of cynicism about with the launch of boards like this, but in the few times I’ve taken it out so far I really like my kbd twin fin, easy to paddle onto waves and very responsive - I can see a lot of love has gone into the design great stuff mate.
Congratulations, Kale. These boards look sooooooooooooo sick. So extremely psyched for you on arriving at this place on your journey. Thank you for continuing to share with us! All the best to you!
Congratulations Kale, so great to see someone putting energy into designing mid length boards. It must be the most under appreciated section of everyone's quiver and probably the boards the majority of surfers should be spending a lot (or at least some) of their time on. So much scope for development between 6'8" - 7'10", can't believe it has been ignored for so long by so many surfers and designers. Nice looking boards and great surfing by the way. All the best with Kale Brock Surfboards. TC (Tony Crimmins Surfboards, Scotts Head NSW Aus)
I used to be skeptical of this channel, but over the years it's become super informative and reliable. Thanks for all the hard work! (Great surfing too!)
VERY impressed with how all of your expertise and experience has been channeled into these boards. What I love is that you are/and have been very open at every stage of your development. In my opinion this launch really needs no justification- it is natural progression to fill a genuine need with certain surfers who need your support. You won’t need luck Kale, , things will go well for you guys👏 …very keen to have one to ride in our better UK surf👌🏄🏻♂️
Sho! What a journey to bring a passion into a lifestyle, a lifestyle into a calling, and ultimately finding a way to share all of it with a tangible experience which is riding a wave on a board of your design. AMAZING! Congratulations indeed!
Epic, that board looks super fun and congrats on the new company. The mid length twin makes the most sense to combine a longboard and shortboard I'd reckon in my own experiences - esp after surfing the Revo Max. Paddle power + fin release abilites = perfecto
Great work mate, always good to see a surfer stoked on there craft and I think it’s the best I’ve seen you surf yet on these boards, can’t wait to have a go on one.

I was lucky enough to have a few sessions on Kales 6”6 last week at one of his pool retreats. I have had ridden two other mid lengths in the past. This board definitely had more rocker and felt like it had more performance. The rails are not too thick and it still has volume in the board where you need it. Definitely keen on picking up one of these when funds permit. I recon it would suit a punchy beach break as well as a mellow point break. I saw Kale and another surf coach absolutely ripping on them in the flesh.
@@KalesBroccoliall good mate I gota say you are such a genuine bloke, what you see here in these videos is on point in person. Thanks heaps for last week.
Great video Kale and those boards looking good. As a matter of interest, I picked up a set of Futures Solus fins by chance from a mate of mine. I found the regular fins didnt quite match my middie ( 6'7) and thought i would give them a go .......Its as if they were made for a mid length thruster setup . Changed the drive and turning ability. I paused it on 7:42 to go get a coffee and came back and was shocked at how critical that turn is on a mid length, like properly on rail, don't think real time does that turn justice. Fair play. I'm 44 and not ready to accept the mid length story yet. I only started surfing 6 years ago at 38 so my whole goal was to be on a HPSB and surfing in the pocket as long as I can.
