Hi please always include the Mileage and the general location of the vehicle usage. Why? because hotter climates shorten the life of the fluid and this fluid reservior is in a bad lower spot as it receives more heat from the radiator fan in that location. Its twin the Kona has the reservoir up higher in front so degradation is a little less than Ioniq. Kona has reservoir higher near inside upper front top. For ioniq consider buying some hose and relocate where Kona has it for accessibility. Also use replace the cheaper DOT3 with DOT 4 as it has a highe boiling point, thus the better the fluid is at resisting heat. That's why racers use DOT 4, not DOT 3, brake fluid.
Since there is no clutch peddle to pump the fluid through, do you need a tool like Hyundai GDS (the dealer diagnostic system) to actuate the clutch and pump the new fluid through the system?
Is there any ideas to clean it with the assembly still attached? I have very small hands so I can reach it all without taking it down. I think it would be much easier for me to siphon it out and refill it just fine how it is…but how could I clean it??
Hello sir, if someone told me that the clutch pump must be dismantled and the clutch tank cleaned, then the fluid is removed from it and replaced with a new one, then the air is bleed from it??
Hiya Mike, yeah it was pretty bad and it seems that all the Hyundai Ionic hybrid clutch actuator fluid gets like this , I hope to find out what really goes on with this fluid in the future 🤞 cheers pal 👍
I was thinking to buy a break fluid tester to test the old fluid for water ingress now regarding the metal debris, I’m with you there is a little worrying I hope it isn’t some sort of damage with the clutch actuator but I guess the future will tell us 🤞 cheers 👍🍻
What type of fluid to buy to put in this? Mine has a slow leak. I just want to top it off before I sell the car. What’s the easier way to just top it off?
Top job. Quick questions: 1. After you took out the reservoir how did you flush the remaning fluid from the hose and pump? 2. Did you have to do any re-calibration\ bleed the system?
Did you not watch the video? DOT 4!!!!! Only tells you in the bleeding video. Try actually watching something and not asking stupid questions that have ALREADY been answered.
Kia Niro Phev. : There is a pause upon acceleration from a stop (unresponsive). Then the vehicle will lunge forward and make a loud noise. For both driver and passengers, it can be quite startling and feels as though the car has been hit from behind. It has happened about a dozen times in the las week months since first noticed. It seems that this may be a software issue related to the hybrid system - ( I’ve changed already gearbox, clutch, hybrid motor) and this still happening! Does someone know how to fix this bug? Thank you
Out of all the videos that I found, no one actually shows you how to bleed the old fluid they just show you them swapping and cleaning the reservoir😞😞😞

Very nice guys... keep up the good work 👋😎👋😎
Thanks Jose , very good advice from you to change the fluid , even here in Europe it gets pretty bad 👍
@@CarsExposed jejeje yes i can see 👋😎 very nice work you did... keep it up 👋😎
Is there any possibility of having not smooth transactions between ICE to Hybrid mode because of bad clutch fluid?
Yes, that's exactly what happens when the fluid is overdue. It's supposed to be changed about every 22500kms I believe.
What kind of fluid can I use?
Have the fluid tested to see what’s breaking down in There

Indiana USA,2019 ioniq blue drive 65,000 miles my fluid level looks low

How's she goin'? That fluid sure looked bad. Maybe condensation and/or fine metal wear. Good to have it changed for sure. Take care!!

How did you guys push out the air out of actuator??
Hyundai GDS tool according to my local Hyundai shop
@@michaellingard5789 where did you buy the software?
Bless you…The cloudiness looks like water ingress. Condensate forming on the inside of the reservoir??? Particulate looks a little worrisome. 😬 🍻👍

Dot 3/4 from my owners manual. Double check yours.

Most don't they just replace the fluid in the
Reservior. But I agree a flush is better.
How much brake fluid to refill clutch actuator?
Nice work igor 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks mate 👍
Try a magnet to see if that black stuff sticks
please which fluid which brand to buy for changing the double clutch actuator

Hi where is ur garage?

You don’t need to do that 😂 that’s why! Just replace it.
Shavings.. bmw do a oil change on new cars to remove the filings
