Instagram- AdamTheWooATW I really appreciate everyone who decides to watch my videos . It’s a lot of fun doing stuff and having others enjoy where I go as well . Thank you
I rewatched Spahn Ranch yesterday... love the older ones! Salton Sea, Route 66 classics, your winter roadtrip series, the Desert Inn before and after. So many classics!
Great body of work over the years, we love you Adam. As so many others, we too thoroughly enjoy your on-camera personality. If and when you finally get to that end-point of satisfaction, we beg you to continue on with TheWeeklyWoo !!!
Over of the hill, in San Fernando Valley near the mission, is a “free to enter” car collection that must be seen! The Nethercutt Collection is located in Sylmar, California. It was founded by J.B. Nethercutt in 1971 and houses over 250 cars. The first building has free access, the second building requires a reservation and is worth another trip. These cars were for the most part the super cars of their day. Nothing like discovering a large group of Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Cadillac, Duesenberg, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Rolls-Royce vehicles in a ready to drive condition.
I've been to the Nethercutt many times, Great collection of cars, plus other art. I love listening to their huge pipe organ. Also impressive is their restoration shop, with so many talented craftsmen. They often collaborate with Jay Leno on amazing complete restorations. Jay has another great car collection just down the road in Burbank. Tours are possible, but take some arranging.
Can I just say I’m LOVING these series of videos of studio tours and plethora of movie goodness 🤘 I died when you showed the Wicked Witch of the Wests hat 🧙♀️🥹 HUGE fan of The Wizard of Oz 🌈
Love watching your videos and thank you for the stickers!! Always so fun to take us along your adventures. It was because of you I was able to see Edward scissorhands house on my trip to see my brother in Florida after seeing your video!
Another great video Adam. Been to SoCal a couple of times back in the day visiting an old college buddy and have always wanted to get back. The Petersen museum is unlike any other car museum in the world. Your friend Daphne seems like such a sweetheart. Thanks for sharing 👍
This was so amazing!! I have lived in SoCal my whole life. I'm 10 minutes from Disneyland. And I have never visited these places. Thank you for showing all these cool spots Adam!
I loved this video, Adam. I'm a long time LACMA member, and have visited there many, many times over the years. We've been eagerly awaiting the opening of the Motion Picture museum. Now you've got me motivated to get down there soon. Every visit also involves a few hours at the Peterson. I never get tired of that place. I watched the "Big Rock" being transported from the quarry to the museum. Also witnessed the installation process. Very interesting, Great fun.
Cool that you gave the Snortin Nortins Nova a shout out. That was my husband's pride and joy. He'd be so proud that his car is in such a prestigious museum.
Another great Hollywood video! Straight after graduating from Michigan State in the early 90s, I worked for a motion picture distribution company on N. Fairfax in WeHo. I passed the LaBrea tar pits and the May Co. store (where the AMPAS museum is now) everyday to and from work. Such an amazing area! Always thought the May Co. building was beautiful, so glad they repurposed it ❤️ Shame about Johnny’s Coffee Shop - you’d think someone would restore it and keep renting it out as a filming location. It was still open as a restaurant when I was there, always thought it was so mid-century cool.
Dang! We went to the Academy Museum in January and I noted the Peterson Automotive Museum across the street, but I had no idea they had all those cool movie cars. My son would have loved that.
My college boyfriend and I moved to LA after school in the early 90s. His dad worked in advertising, and would take us out to dinner whenever he was in town for business. I’ll never forget going to El Coyote, Musso & Franks, and Dan Tanna’s. I’ve always been an Old Hollywood geek, so eating at these legendary places was heaven. The experience was never lost on me ❤️
Good stuff as always Adam. Another SoCal museum I'm really looking forward to seeing is the George Lucas museum being built over by Exposition park. That place is really gonna be epic.
ITS very nice to see you and the beautiful Daphne out doing so Many interesting things Thank you for taking me along! Stay SAFE and Be Careful HUGS from Tammy in PA
Fun Fact: the building that is now the Academy museum was built in 1939 as a May Company department store. It was May Company until 1993, when May Company merged with Robinson's department stores, and became Robinsons-MAY. With the merger, came consolidation and store closures, and the brilliant management team at the time opted to close the classic and iconic Wilshire Blvd. location. 😕 Robinsons-MAY is now defunct, most locations bought and converted to Macy's.
As soon as I seen the Construction Cranes and You mentioned the Tar pits, I instantly thought of Last Action Hero and only seconds later would you reference it. This Guy!
A bit of trivia for you Adam. Those camera mounted dollies like the one they used in The Wizard of Oz, they are modified bomb rack lifting jacks that used to service warplanes even before the war. They used to lift the bombs up to the wings. There were so many of them left from the war effort, that they modified them to hold a camera and use them in the film industry for decades after.
If it makes it way to America, you should try and see the play "The Shark is Broken", it's a play is about the filming of Jaws, and the conflict between the 3 main actors. The main star of the play in London is Ian Shaw, who's father Robert played the shark hunter in the film. Not seen the play but heard good reviews of it. Keep up the good work
Working in visual fx and being a part of several preproduction phases on set, it was always magic when I got to be hands on with a prop. With so much computer generated content there just isn’t as much of this movie history to preserve these days. I love seeing all of these screen used props and backdrops.
Things will always get better my friend, please dont lose hope!! As a veteran 2 years ago I was had turned into a drunken mean yelling angry awful person. I wasnt a good husband father or friend at that time. I got help for my PTSD and dealt with the deaths of my brothers, instead of burying all my pain. Now my life is exactly what I want it to be. You WILL get there too, I promise!!
@@Sparty-pi3jq thank you brother I really appreciate it. Just been dealing with family drama not feeling comfortable in my situation. I appreciate your service and for the kind words you don’t know how much it meant to me
Hey, friend. I don't know you but we've all been there. Thank you, Adam the Woo, for bringing us all together virtually. You have more friends and support than you probably know because we are all here together. Hang in there. Things will get better, one day at a time.
This road trip has been absolutely fantastic! The places, the baseball games at the different ballparks, being back in SoCal and your friends that have joined you. I'm hoping that you meet up with some of your Disney Vlogger friends before you depart SoCal. They are good people! Even though I'm a Dodgers fan, because of you I like the Rays now and D.J. Kitty!
So much movie history and original stuff, I'm pleased Daphne is showing just how much she knows about movie history and things, enjoying the vlogs Adam
Johnie's Coffee Shop closed down for business in 2000 and was defiled in 2016 . On May 5, 2016, the coffee shop was renamed "Bernie's Coffee Shop" in honor of presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. The shop retained that name and served as a campaign office until at least June 7, 2016.

Adam, if you ever want to meet my brother let me know, he won an award for Hillbilly Butcher, was in Cannibal Corpse Killers, Mark of the Astro-Zombies, and just completed a new movie. I Love it when places/restaurants embrace their history. They become their own character.
