La Tuna Canyon, Sun Valley, Ca. Used to keep my horses boarded up there! Almost every episode had a slow- motion freeway scene on the unfinished 210 Foothill Freeway which dead-ended at Paxton Street. LOVE 1978!
When I see movies & tv shows from back then including the 80's when a a service station is shown I look at the prices, wow those were the days. Interesting knowing this gas station still there except as a brand name. I'm enjoying these videos.
I rode a bike with my friend when I was in elementary school . Like we became chips... It was broadcast in Korea under the name of the Mobile Patrol. Thank you for the old video. Time flies.^^
That was a favorite show of mine in my youth I later bought some cal pines community he advertised. And seeing the same streets then and now just love it the changes. Thanks
I was a rookie Sheriff Deputy in Southern California in the 80's and it WAS GREAT! Today, I wouldn't work in California for 300k a year! The state is destroyed.
Yep. Decades of one party majority rule. But the people who continue voting for those fools only have themselves to blame. Then again, they'll continue voting for the "free" *hit, but the smart ones will continue the exodus in droves--leaving behind a welfare state, poverty, homelessness, criminal activity...with crooked politicians riding it to the bottom and blaming it on the free market and personal freedoms. Very sad, indeed. Thanks for your service, Sir.
@Captain Hargrove- I know what you mean. Back in the 80s, it was way easier for cops to get away with beating people, planting drugs and everything you see cops being tried/fired for these days. Too many cameras around now. If it wasn't for that damn Rodney King video!🤔 hmmm
I grew up in the Antelope Valley in the 70's. I recently went back, and it is nothing like it used to be. It used to be mostly mid to upper class people working out at Edwards or Lockheed in the aerospace program. Now it's mostly a bunch of drug addicts and welfare recipients.

@jason9022 there were plenty around. You just didn't live where they did. If you did see more of them, that shouldn't be something to target to make an unintelligent point. They are contributing members of society, and deserve respect!
@@greenrefrigerator Hi, there, in 1984, I could use a payphone for only 10 cents. I wish payphones were still be available. It's 3/30/2022, and I don't know how to convince the phone companies to put payphones back where they belong.
This was pretty cool to see some of the same buildings still standing .... you know I put 800 miles on my 1980 xl80 Honda in my back yard and it was only a 1/4 acre lot less the house that was there in the city .... huh. I bet my neighbors hated me riding that thing ,, ll

As long as Larry Wilcox is there I love it I'm his favorite fan I love him a lot he's so cool I know all of his background since he was in army and everything he is totally an awesome actor love him a lot
.60 cents per gallon vs $3.29 (in California). The rest of the country is even cheaper by a dollar per gallon. Suffice to say gasoline prices have changed a little.
Our gas in south FL is pretty close to a dollar less than what they charge for gas in CA but pretty much everything in CA is way overpriced. That's why for the first time ever there are more people leaving CA than are coming in, and the ones leaving are taking the money with them vs those coming in which are largely dependent on The System. Two things that got my attention
Gas prices and the bronco

The Bronco for me.

1:25 imagine paying 58 cents a gallon for gas.
There was sure a LOT less junk food on the shelves back then. And the prices of gas were reasonable.
That’s pretty cool who ever did the now and then, you have to go on location for them shots. Cool

Anyone know what city thats filmed in?
Sun Valley.
New York
Lets just go back to the "CHiPs" days.
Free air? No waaaaay
I remember those days when air and water were always free, pay phones cost a DIME with NO time limit.
The air at Wawa is free

Fantastico....incontrare luoghi la dove vi erano poncerello e lerry oltre 40 anni indietro è un emozione per chi ha amato i chips...

Most of them, I know the area pretty well. Some of them are difficult to figure out, so i look for address numbers or even street signs.
