Its honestly what these planes are worth. Ancient panel, landing gear issues, lost log book. I applaud the owner for actually selling it for what its worth so JR can fix it up! When I was looking for a plane there were so many planes like this where the owner would do the old "I know its worth more than that" when referencing the $150k plane with a $80k more expensive panel, full logs, and new paint/interior. I would try to explain to them all the work they would need to do in order to get it to sell for that price and they'd just be stubborn. 2 years later same planes are for sale with only minor price decreases. Either restore the plane, or let it go to a new owner that will. These planes are old now and you basically have to be a caretaker of the plane to keep in in good shape, if it starts sitting or corroding too long the value drops rapidly IMO.

My friend is a licensed Captain, All Ships at Sea. He said a lot of widows sell boats that were the pride of their late husband's just because they need the money and don't need the upkeep on them. It's the case with airplanes as well. They go for cheap because the widow wants to get rid of them. 🤠

Safety items first.Seatbelts with shoulder harness, fire Extinguisher, ETC. Then engine management systems. Then required radios, IE ADSB, Then avionics. Then make it look perty.
In 1986 I bought a ‘64 210D for $12,500 with a newly overhauled landing gear power pack. That was the greatest airplane. If you needed to haul weight it’s the bird for the job. The two small rear seats are not legal to use unless you change out the slip lock seat belts. Great find. Makes me miss my old 210
This video felt neither long or short, it was just right because the story is interesting. Very happy for you guys, looking forward to seeing good progress on this plane.
The story and tempo matched, so no "long" feeling. The story on this deal was worth the time. Your videos edits are solid, well composed and, your audio is not stupid loud. Curtis Judd says "normalize the audio to -24db" So many videos have loud, music, audio (like 30 db louder than the voice track right before it) for the "cinematic" cuts.
A&P mechanic here for a flight school. We’ve been updating most of our 172s with the Garmin GI-275 engine monitor. Pricey but the install isn’t too difficult. Can monitor EGTs, CHTs, RPM and etc and pull datalogs for troubleshooting
Get your mechanic to look over that landing gear really good, especially the truss mounts. Those are notorious for cracks and are expensive to replace. Also, while it's up on jacks, do the Uvalde gear door mod. It basically eliminates the rear gear doors, reduces weight, and drag. No doors extending out into the wind during extension and retraction. For the mod, a clean looking hole hole is cut into the outter, gear doors for the wheel to go through and the door is riveted onto the airframe as a panel. Probably the most popular mod on 210s. Oh, if you get GamiJectors, be careful running those on that older IO-520. It'll run a little hotter than factory with Gamis. Run them a littke richer than what the book recommends and the engine will last well past TBO. I say you got a good (should say lucky) deal if there's little to no corrosion on the airframe and no metal in the oil or filter screen. The D model is a good rugged 210. Strutted Centurions are essentially faster 206s with lots of load hauling capability. When you tuck the gear up and level out in cruise, it'll give you 160 knots at 65% power all day long with that McCauley 3-blade prop. Panel is pretty nice too for it's age. Nice interior too.
This one already has the mod, which usually indicates it has had a gear-up landing. I personally hate the Uvalde mod, as well as any mechanic that actually knows 210's. Realize you can tell if it has the mod just by looking at the nose gear doors, they stay open after the nose wheel is down, and add extra drag. Also, the holes at the mains add drag. He said they lose around 20kts with the gear down. I lose 6-8 kts on my L model with the doors. My partner flew for an hour before realizing he had left the gear down. My friend has a 1 Model M with the Uvalde mod and a 40hp more powerful engine. Mine flys faster than his with less fuel burn. He was not a believer until he flew across the country in mine. Paul New and John Efinger are the 2 experts on 210's and both say to never do the Uvalde mod. It doesn't fix anything, it doesn't make the system better. It only hides the fact there is a problem with the system when the doors are gone. If I walk out and see my doors open, I know I have a pressure issue. Once you do the Uvalde mod, you won't know until you try to put the gear up, or down. The N model removed uplocks and the main doors (Cessna adopted the Uvalde Mod), and uses hydraulic pressure to hold the gear up, so it is the simplest system of any 210's, which does equate to less maintenance.
Removing the gear doors increases drag, loses a few knots. Also doesn't lower weight much or lessen single-point-of-failure much. It is only done because to the uninitiated it looks like a newer model.
@@cabdouch Why not just consider putting a set of wheel pants on it and leaving the gear down? Less maintanance hassles and lower insurance. Minimal speed loss.
Love the keeping positive!!.. That's a steal for that plane. Love it because it looks so much like the first plane I flew. 738 whiskey Lima, in McAlester Oklahoma.. 1978 172N. Old but solid.. Been many years since that flight. Shout out to Dave Esio that volunteered his time for instruction.. Amazing guy. I've since had a heart attack and been diagnosed with leukemia so I no longer pass medical, but absolutely loved it and that freedom for the time I had it. This plane reminds me of it because of the color scheme.
Great job on this video. Very well done. You guys are really learning the ins-and-outs of these older planes. Stay safe. Enjoy the process. This may be the one plane you keep and look back on when you’re 60 yrs old! I did much of this on my 1959 Cessna 310C years ago. A labor of love. After your internal upgrades I’d like the new wingtips with the wig-wag lights and nice strobes and LED beacons. See them a lot in Alaska. Congratulations and continued success!
Yeah this longer format is great. I really like CitationMax, but, all he shows is the clean and simple flight. You guys show all of the shenanigans like building burritos, fixing the plane and all of the ground stuff, where he does not. You guys are not boring and I really enjoy the content! Keep 'em coming guys! :) This is unqualified, but, it would seem well worth $27K!
Thank you for what you guys do!! These videos give me so much motivation to jump-start my aviation career again after my career as a US Army UH-60 Blackhawk pilot. Thank you so much guys for this!!
I've been flying an early 210 for 40 years and I've overhauled the generator once and replaced the brushes two times. The drive belt has been replaced 4 times.
@@Jim-uu2svIt’s definitely a deal no doubt. The normal price as you’re talking is still ridiculous and is take way only due to market demand not cause of any value it’s holding.
If I could find a deal with a reasonable plane for 20-30k I would definitely buy it lol been looking but not finding a starter plane with a reasonable price, that's up to code.
This was my first JR Aviation video. Watched it in a couple sittings and was intrigued all the way through! Seemed like a risky prospect, but you checked and double-checked to ensure safety. Good job. Fun video!!
I would go pretty simple but modern with the mods on the instruments. Ditch the 430 and sell it, people love that thing and you'll probably get some good money for it. Buy a Garmin 650 (ADSB & NAV/COM), GMA 342 because that old audio panel is hard to work, GTX 345 Transponder (ADSB in/out), personally I like the Garmin G5's but the 275's are nice as well, and you might as well just get the GFC500 autopilot because its so easy to operate. Also, the JPI900 engine monitor. Overall, its a little early to judge if its a Great purchase. Engines that don't run a lot tend to hide their problems. I really hope you don't find any. Definitely a good purchase and good find. Good Luck!
Good deal is potentially the understatement of the year. Hopefully nothing pops up. Expect it will. A plane sitting will have issues, but glad you guys made 1000 miles without incident.
That sounds like a great deal! My CFI had a 210 and it was a great plane. More plane than I would need, and burns too much fuel for my taste, but it will serve you well. Enjoy!
I know people have been knocking off videos about buying cheap airplanes. I enjoy watching these, its a challenge and as long as your up for the long haul and investment it can be a fun experience. If you guys do end up giving it away, My Father and I do a lot of medical missions and social assistance flying in Mexico with several Indigenous tribes and have been for the last thirty years or so. something like this would be a great tool.
Every time I watch one of your videos, I'm truly amazed at how you search out these fantastic deals? It's 2:10 for the price and the condition. What was a score no matter about the log books? And all that. The engine all the money is in the beginning so having A Super good engine and good cylinders is the battle. Get the oil samples. Do the conversion with the filter. And you know what else to do, Really impressed by such a great deal end condition
I would kill to have a plane like that I’m working on my pilots license and as a student with no money having that plane would be absolutely amazing and a dream!!! Aseptically from you! You guys are amazing when it comes to videos and giving things away what a dream to live! I hope you guys have fun with this plane!
I had a T210L for a number of years. What a great traveling machine, but goodness how often little things would keep or delay you from going sometimes!
At $27K you guys got an amazing deal on the '64 - Cessna 210. I like the old 210's because they don't have the problematic cantilever wings. I don't mind having the wing struts when I have a retractable gear and a variable pitch 3 blade prop. As for the priority of the instrumentation upgrades, I would go with a new transponder, Aspen Evolution Max 2000 on both sides, and fly it that way for a while.
Nothing problematic with the later wing...corrosion happens in any aircraft..beech and piper both have ADs regarding spar cap inspections and replacement..as well as wing separations ...the aussie 210 had 1000s of hours of low level terrain mapping and a huge tail extension for mapping as well as a environment ripe for corrosion
I used to fly a 210R. Had an io550 upgrade with scimitar prop. Great cruiser and superb short field, did carry 6 at times. Had a Cessna Altimac AP which worked! Good on long flights. Congrats
These are high-performance planes compared to a 172, beasts if you will. '64 is old old, but yea, can you imagine taking off in one of these brand new in 1964, the power.
You have a big repair budget? Nice....Start with an airframe survey with a very detailed examination for corrosion of fasteners/welds...Then control cables and linkages...Then...Then.... and.....
Pecos FBO burritos are the lifeline of any west Texas pipeline patrol pilot. I even found a stray dog at the airport and we found a home for him. Feels like ages ago even though it’s only been 3 years.
I bought a Cessna 1961 210A for double what you paid and put another same amount to upgrade it to comply with AD’s and fix things that needed fixing. Excellent plane for traveling. My next project is to put an engine monitor possibly JPI 930. Go through your writing. I found wires broken in the nose wheel due to all of the movement from landing gear. Retired everything and works like a charm. Great plane.
My father owned a 1976 210L for 35 years. Excellent plane that hauled our family of 5 all over the US. Two suggestions for you. Invest in a shoulder harness installation for at least the two front seats. Also the GAMI fuel injectors were definitely worth the peace of mind and saved $$$ at the fuel pump. We routinely saw 160 knots true on 12.5 GPH at 8,000 to 9,000 msl. The main issue with those 60s model 210s is the gear saddles that tend to crack and lead to gear collapses. Otherwise that should make for an excellent cross country machine!
I am trying to nail one aircraft and a deal price, a “Good Deal “ like you guys. I have not come across one yet. Very proud of you guys to nail one after another and finding all good deal around the country. Learning a lot and enjoying your channel. Hopefully I will get mine sometimes soon.
They were very lucky a failure like this happened on the ground. Sketchy maintenance logs and potentially sketchy maintenance should get more than a quick once over. Lucky has a way of running out at the worst time.
Fly it for a couple hundred hours to start to "rebuild" the log books. Dueing that time you can start to make nice upgrades. Hopefully the io-520 holds up (rebuilts in a box are $64k). The 210 isnt a hot seller right now but again, i think if you can demonstrate reliability with some log book entries maybe you can get her up to $80k. With some radio upgrades, GPS etc.... PS. You guys couldve gone without headsets and just used the intercom had you not figured out the radios. A little loud yes, but not the end of the world. Another PS; gotta 69 Bonanza 36 thats also sat for a while out of annual, lost logs, trying to figure out what to do with her. Beautiful airplane, but some black eyes
Realy enjoyed that vidio , braught back memories of my checkout in an old Cessna 172 back here in Wales UK at Swansea Fairwood Common. Loved the music. Safe flying you guys.
Cool! I bought and sold about 30 210's and 96Y seems familiar, Was it blue and white before? I can offer some tips on what to watch out for on old 210s if you are interested. After a couple of gear extension issues, one where an ATP friend and I literally reached out both sides and yanked the mains into lock due to low hydraulic fluid on early engine driven Hydraulic pump models, I strongly suggest you always check the Hydraulic fluid level in the sight glass on the pedestal in flight on every flight as it takes more fluid to retract the gear, than to extend it, and when extended it may show full when low. Also, carry a bottle of 5606 and an pump oil can with a hose to pump fluid in if needed. After a "manual' gear extension hanging out the open doors due to a leaky actuator that the manual hand pump could not extend, I devised and emergency kit consisting of a socket wrench to remove the Hydraulic fluid sight glass in flight, as brass hose fitting and a hose to screw in where the sight-glass came out, and and modified cap and hose fitting I could screw into a quart bottle and squeeze fluid into the reservoir, if needed, as if an actuator seal fails you might pump out fluid faster than the hand pump can extend the gear but the engine driven pump can overcome. That way I figured I could dump enough fluid to get the gear down if the hand pump didn't manage.
@@mickdee6590 Thanks, happy to share what I can. Something else for those considering a 210 that has had the gear doors removed, is exhaust infiltration through the aft cabin and baggage compartment. Once the rear doors are removed the low pressure laminar low on the outside of the fuselage is disrupted, and large amounts of exhaust gasses can be pulled into the cabin. A good friend who had a gear door removal done on his 67' T210 , and after cruising at 18,000ft on 02 for several hours, and he and his wife suffered severe carbon monoxide poisoning and ended up hospitalized, It's a wonder they made it back alive. I went to Palm Springs to bring the airplane back to Oregon, suspecting the gear mod could have been the reason, and when I and a mechanic lifted the carpet that was covering the gear well we found it saturated with carbon and white lead dust. We sealed as much of the aft cabin with aluminum adhesive tape and silicone RTV, and I flew back with the cabin air and vents open and had no issues. If yiou look at the later model 210s that came without gear doors the gear wells are well sealed with an inner box plates.
Loving this video! Its good to see good airplanes getting a second chance at life. More and more of the cessnas are left to die. Good Job JR. Thanks for this great video!
As a wanna bee pilot, congratulations on successful and safe journey. I got my first flying lesson in a Chip Munk! never completed any more training....in the AIr Training Corp in Northern Ireland. I caught a lift in probably a 210 from Warsaw, In to Miegs Field , Il , Time in the Army in helicopters and offshore "travel" in S61's and S76 and first ever offshore flight in a classic UH-1 egg beater. Very enjoyable to watch....... Thanks and be safe . Safety first!
Modifications for this 210 that would be great: alternator, k&n challenger air filter, flint aero external tip tank (also for better climb performance and cruise speeds), and stene aviation sportsman stol kit
Ps You can buy a slide in replacement for that transponder. A kt 76 a. Its push button instead of roll which i like way more. Its also a xenon gas screen like your king radios and it is a slide in upgrade rather than a rewire and retray. Highly recommend. I scooped mine on ebay for $500 and i love it
I have a 210-B that I bought in Tulsa and flew home to HWD in 2001, a few weeks after the national airspace re-opened following 911. It was in similar condition in terms of avionics. But at least I was comfortable retracting the gear. My first upgrade was JPI, but you know all about that. One recommendation is always keep one blade vertical when the engine is st opped. That way, if the nose wheel folds up you won’t bend a blade, as mine did. Also keep an eye out for cracks in the yoke if it is the old phenolic plastic style. I had one break off in my hand while flaring at MRY. That was exciting. You might consider investing in a tow bar ;-}. Good catch on the priming pump. I have had that problem and others with that pump, and it’s now my first suspect if that pump goes inop. My mechanic replaced some O-rings in the gear power pack and stopped a serious leak last annual. That cost a few dollars for parts and a few hours of labor, less than a $1,000. You stole that plane.
You shouldn't need a magic box to lean this beauty. I flew one out of ABQ (6100 MSL) for many years and it's not a big deal. Follow the handbook and it's easy. The older 210s are pretty solid and fly well. Right after 9-11, my student and I met Scott Crossfield who was on his way to get his rebuilt by Victor. He loved them. Should be a solid runner.
I can't believe they're complaining about having the fuel pump not work right when they're ready to take off. Should consider yourselves incredibly lucky it didn't decide to fail in the air.
You are leading people astray. Now every one will think they can buy a cheap plane and fly it home. Before you do any thing INSPECTION INSPECTION by an A&P inspector
If they have an Airman Certificate, they *should* be smart enough not to be "led astray..." If they're not smart enough, there's probably nothing that can be done to help them, anyway. 😂
Unless I watched a different video, they said 500 SMOH.. They changed out the oil and spent the day going through paces with the aircraft and seemed confident in their knowledge. Dont knock them at all.
The words, " if it sounds too good to be true then it is, " would apply here I believe. $27,000 for 210 tells me that one of several conditions is in play. One, that the aircraft is due an annual. Two, that the aircraft engine is probably perilously close to an overhaul. Unless you are independently wealthy, this is just not a good buy. If you've got the cash to pour into this black hole then by all means. Revamp and restore it but don't think that you going to buy this kind of aircraft for $27,000 without a bunch of gotchas waiting for you.
Pecos is indeed an awesome FBO. I used it a lot back in my Slowtation days. Passengers always wondered, "Why Pecos?" As for the long video, It was fine with me. I wound down just before bed by watching the first half and watched the second half with my morning coffee. Great purchase! It will make a great deal for someone looking for that extra capacity in a good, solid aircraft. My advice (it's free, and you get what you pay for): do the minimum to make it attractive and don't put a lot of bells and whistles into it. Let the purchaser decide how to load the panel. I could kick myself for not having found that bird before you did! I'd be interested in seeing the outcome on this one.
I like the longer form videos especially since it allows you go into a bit more detail about the adventure. Keep talking about engine management too, that's an area that a lot of us pilots could improve on. Cool plane and what a price, I can't even find a good 172 for less than about $65,000 these days!
I love the longer format videos. Do I like the airplane??? How in the heck did you luck into such a FANTASTIC Deal? I’ve been looking for my entire life for such a deal and have never found it. Please update that plane and give it a loving home as I’m sure it will be great! Good luck and happy travels!!!
Enjoyed the ride with you in the 210. Back in the 70's I logged a lot of time in several airplanes with the IO520. On cross country always tried to get the altitude that would give us close to 65% at WOT. Then we leaned 25 degrees rich of peak with the 6 probe EGT. That consistently resulted in a fuel consumption of 13 gph. The two aircraft I flew with the IO520 most often were a 1967 210 and a 1971 A36. TAS on the A36 under those conditions was 160kt. Don't recall the 210 TAS. The 210 you just bought must have popped out of time machine! It is a stunningly nice airplane. Please do what is necessary to inspect all the control cables and all of the wiring. Look for corrosion on all wiring connections, especially the nav/comm coax connectors in the wing root, etc. I know you paid for an annual, but "two pairs of eyes...." Thanks for sharing the ride.
Guys, sorry to be a bit skeptical but I don't understand the rush to move this plane back to home base. Seems like a great deal on the plane but you were really lucky in a couple of instances. The fuel pump wire broke while it was on the ground and the fact you spotted the elevator trim issue before taking off. If you took off with either of those issues unaddressed, it could have led to a very bad day. Admittedly I'm not a pilot but it just seems to me with a plane that has only flown a couple of short flights in recent years I would be spending the money to have it fully inspected by a certified A&P mechanic and flight tested before taking on a significant cross country excursion. Perhaps having it put back into annual first might have been the correct process with a plane like this? Love to hear your thoughts.

Safety items first.Seatbelts with shoulder harness, fire Extinguisher, ETC. Then engine management systems. Then required radios, IE ADSB, Then avionics. Then make it look perty.
Look into adding an oil filter.
If safety is so important to aircraft, why do I never see even a single safety pin?
$27,000 with an engine upgrade by Victor what a steal,
With an annual even!! Way more than a steal.
and a 430
Someone could search their entire life and not find a deal that good…just wow
How??
but when was the "Victor" upgrade?
Here, here.
@@mickdee6590There, there... the phrase is "Hear! Hear!". Olde English...
Good to see someone selling a plane for a great price! We need more people like that.
Can always look on the ramp at small fields
1 - Fix the landing gear leak
2 - Transponder check or replace with integrated ADSB transponder
3 - Oil Filter STC
4 - Gami injectors
5 - Engine monitor
6 - Give the plane away (to me, LOL!)
7 - 2 G5s or Aspen PFD
8 - Autopilot upgrade
9 - Anything else you see fit
10 - See #6
Great job on this video.
The metallic green is badass. Only things I would add are some USB 3.1 ports & an APS 115 radar.
If you can, put an oil filter mod on it and switch to an alternator conversion kit. I did all this to our 1947 Bonanza 35.
I've been flying an early 210 for 40 years and I've overhauled the generator once and replaced the brushes two times. The drive belt has been replaced 4 times.
What alternator conversion kit did you install?
Its not about the money! Its about the journey! And you had one hell of a journey! Keep them coming!
To be honest this is what a 50 year old plane should cost.
i agree.
Are you kidding ? Cessna 210 D that year would bring well over 100k.
One heck of a deal
@@Jim-uu2svIt’s definitely a deal no doubt. The normal price as you’re talking is still ridiculous and is take way only due to market demand not cause of any value it’s holding.
If I could find a deal with a reasonable plane for 20-30k I would definitely buy it lol been looking but not finding a starter plane with a reasonable price, that's up to code.
@@Jim-uu2sv what they DO and what they SHOULD cost are 2 different things.
Good Luck!
Second!💯
very solid advice
Good deal is potentially the understatement of the year. Hopefully nothing pops up. Expect it will. A plane sitting will have issues, but glad you guys made 1000 miles without incident.
Great video. I prefer the longer length episodes with more technical detail and explanation. Keep em coming!
You need lots of money to play with aeroplanes
A 210 with the gear down turns it basically into a 206 but for 27K, I'd take that any day!
Very much enjoyed the longer format. You're able to Keep it simple, interesting and easy to watch.
Well done, guys! What a deal! Thanks for walking us through the process and flight.
A test flight around the origin airport would have been prudent. Great find!
Problematic cantilever wing problems? Like how? An STC for spar inspections?
Nothing problematic with the later wing...corrosion happens in any aircraft..beech and piper both have ADs regarding spar cap inspections and replacement..as well as wing separations ...the aussie 210 had 1000s of hours of low level terrain mapping and a huge tail extension for mapping as well as a environment ripe for corrosion
Aspen? lol no. get a yoke 496 and call it a day.
@@Jon.......a problematic AD not STC that can scrap the entire airplane basically. I’ve seen it, twice.
Great buy and good flight home glad it worked out.
A fun watch. I'm glad you made it back safely in that 210.
I love the 210😍Its roomy and quiet and with gear retracted it flies well over 160 kt tas.
Agree with others... Awesome find, give it a good going over and install 3 point seat belts!!
A nightmare for resale, but a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity if you plan to keep it.
Thank you for the dog rescue!
What a beautiful airplane! And it seems to be in tip top shape! Im glad y'all got it home safely in a smooth flight.
love the longer format! im an aviation junkie too! vids could be 2 hours and id still watch!
You need bush tires , vgs on the wing and hoz stab.
And an aoa on the dash
Perfect timing! Just opened youtube and one of my favs posts a vid. Lets go!!!!!
Boom! Enjoy!
What do the shoulder harnesses do?
Thanks

Thanks for taking us along!
Our pleasure!
Great buy folks! She’s a keeper 💯🛩️
I am trying to nail one aircraft and a deal price, a “Good Deal “ like you guys. I have not come across one yet. Very proud of you guys to nail one after another and finding all good deal around the country. Learning a lot and enjoying your channel. Hopefully I will get mine sometimes soon.
Should really bring a certified A&P with you guys before you fly out in a plane like that. That fuel pump failure was a sign look at it that way
They were very lucky a failure like this happened on the ground. Sketchy maintenance logs and potentially sketchy maintenance should get more than a quick once over. Lucky has a way of running out at the worst time.
Spot on... Not sure what the multiple run ups and high speed taxi would tell them
Loved it, we flew a 1960 210 from Texas to michigan. Only had a fresh annual and swung the gear up for the ride.
Congrats! Longer format is great
Glad you think so!
Memories of 2 strokes: I used to own an RD400 Daytona Special while I was living in YEG....it was sooo sweet. I wish I still had it now on the coast.
Nice video and great purchase. I will be fun to follow the upgrades as they happen.
This is the first time I've ever watched you guys. I really enjoyed this video.
Glad you enjoyed!
A really gorgeous old lady, glad she got you safe home. Appreciate your skills and knowledge guys
What a deal ! What a find 👍👍You can hardly buy a good used car for 27 K these days
I like longer videos. Your knowledge has increased over the years.
When I saw Jay’s hair out of place on first take off, I thought this was gonna be a long trip. But it was perfect again at the end 👊🏻
Nice metallic Green. You guys are awesome to watch. Fly safe. Definitely would be cool to fly a sensa.
Love the channel! And the longer format from time to time. COOL!!
Great info!
You and Jay make great choices…format is good! Really good buy and got it home safely! I like your videos!
Great video. Congrats on a great buy!
Modifications for this 210 that would be great: alternator, k&n challenger air filter, flint aero external tip tank (also for better climb performance and cruise speeds), and stene aviation sportsman stol kit
Well done ✅ thanks for sharing your story.
Long, longer, but still a great story.
Ps
You can buy a slide in replacement for that transponder. A kt 76 a. Its push button instead of roll which i like way more. Its also a xenon gas screen like your king radios and it is a slide in upgrade rather than a rewire and retray. Highly recommend. I scooped mine on ebay for $500 and i love it
Pecos is pronounce (PAY-CUSS) by we Texans! Glad you guys had a smooth trip!
lol "Peh cos"
Loved the video. Great purchase.
Scott passed in 2006 in his 210A at 84 in weather...
Engine sounds great!
For sure it’s worth it, especially for what you guys intend to use it for. Thats a steal. Hopefully we get to see it in more videos. 🤙🏽
I can't believe they're complaining about having the fuel pump not work right when they're ready to take off. Should consider yourselves incredibly lucky it didn't decide to fail in the air.
That's exactly what I was thinking! Imagine that brittle wire had snapped at 8500 ft!
It’s a no-brainer. Absolutely was a great deal. Congratulations.!!
One of the first things he said was that it was just annualled...
They said it was in annual.
Unless I watched a different video, they said 500 SMOH.. They changed out the oil and spent the day going through paces with the aircraft and seemed confident in their knowledge. Dont knock them at all.
By that logic a hundred fifty grand would've made you perfectly okay to hop in and fly away.
As a newbie to aviation, I loved the video and all of the information.
That's the way it is.
I have only watched your long format vids. And I would watch a long format Part 2 because I am that interested. Thanks for the content.
…And I can’t believe that you edited out the touch down… Everybody makes an ugly one now and then… Leave em in
Yes. This guy will never get hired by Ryanair by hiding his rough landings.
Awesome video guys, lovely aircraft ❤
My grandparents had one when i was a kid... flown it many times from indiana to Florida.
Y'all got a fantastic deal!
Congratulations 🎊
Great vid guys. I'm impressed with your safety first, attention to detail, mode of operation. You could put a small sign up that states "Take-offs are optional. Landings are mandatory."
You people are closet case geni ! Congrats. God Bless y'all
I'm surprised that you guys flew into the clouds on a maiden voyage like this. Nice plane.
