Thanks for checking it out Joey! I've heard of people working out on the balcony. The cage is under 200lbs with the Lat Pulldown attached so it's light the other thing you'll probably have to factor in is how much weight you're gonna have up there.
@@UsawaFitness Yes sir! I made a list of questions for this video, I hope that is okay sir 1. Where did you get the hoodie and gloves from? I assume the gloves are waterproof? 2. Does any of the equipment like the barbell, get rusty? 3. The fences are amazing, did you build them or have them installed? Or did they come with the house? Lovely tall fences. Here in England, fences are like 5ft! Thank you my friend!
The hoodie is an Under Armor Thermal hoodie that I got from the Under Armor store. The gloves were football receiving gloves but they weren't great so I went from those to regular winter gloves that year because everything else was never enough. I did a fantastic job of keeping that cage covered so it held up really well until I started neglecting it after building the garage gym. Now I'm seeing signs of rust. I need a new cover as that one has holes now subjecting my cage and gear underneath to the elements. The fence is my neighbors :-) Thanks for being here!
Awesome video! Got me pumped to step out in the 37 degree weather tomorrow! Where did you get that landline attachment that you use for the rows and pressing?
37 degrees! Sounds like summer! 😊 It's been in the single digits the last few weeks in Chicago so I can't even train outside. SMH. That's the Fitness Reality Landmine attachment that I'm using. I listed in the description of this video. It will fit other cages if you're using something other than the Super Max Power cage. Thanks for watching!
I almost bought this rack but I didn't because the papababe 1200lb capacity claims 400lb lat pulldown capability.. after watching your video.. with the weight plates on the back side.. that rack looks solid like it doesn't even move lol. Do u think that could handle 200+ weight on the lat?
Yes I've had it up around 175 but it's harder to pull then what you're used to at the gym because it rides on a metal rail opposed to the cable that you're used too. I can pull 200 at the gym but I can't here but it's all equal to my muscles. But 200lbs? Yeah absolutely! And Thanks for watching! Hey you still rockin that Pixel2 XL? Thanks for the video! I'm basically going to have the same setup under my patio and was wondering if you sprayed any protective coating on the rack. How has the rack held up in the summer? Any issues with humidity?
Yes been great Alex! I accidentally let it get rained on a couple of times but no rust. I did spray it with a water protectant but I can't remember the name of the specific one. I try to wipe it down whenever I workout and it's snowing. The biggest thing is the tarp. I know that size I have looks crazy but it makes it easy to cover quick when the skies open up on you.

Hey Raman, it's a 20x30'. I know that seems like overkill but I had smaller ones and they didn't work as well. The reason being is the wind got one. If it's blowing hard there is no weight to hold the part of the tarp I'm not holding down so it would just fly up in the air making it hard to get the tarp on. It's also easier to pull out across those right angled corners. When you get your cage just keep it dry, wipe it down and spray it with water protectant when you first get it. Mine is holding up like a champ and I love being able to train outside. I just it in the winter but not nearly as much as I do in the other seasons.
I’m planning on setting up a powerrack in my backyard under a big tree. Do you think that is a good idea? I would assume the tree provides the rack with shade and protection from damaging environmental factors.
I do Asburt! I love having my gym outside and my deck provides a little bit of coverage for the cage. I'd just make sure to keep it covered when it's raining, snowing or those leaves start falling off. The only other thing I'd consider is the base.
