It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B

I bought this rack after his initial review. I have only had a half rack for years. Works fine for me. I may one day hit a 400 pound squat, but other than that my bench max is 365, squat 380, and my half rack holds that. This rack is fine for average user
Mid forties, and DID skip leg day in my youth, ran so much in army I would not have lifted legs often enough as I was slow to begin with. Never deadlifted til 2009. I blew discs out in low back and have drop foot on left side too. Need to start looking into knees over toes guy. Maybe help those lifts catch 🔝
Not really. This survived a 700 LB drop one (1) time. Can it handle a second? Third? Fourth? Other more expensive racks are intended for public gym use where people are going to test their limits - and the limits of the equipment. People working out by themselves or with just a buddy hanging about are probably going to be significantly more conservative in the amount of weight they push and the risks they take. I won't even push my limits in the public gym without my workout partner around. Much less a home setup with no one around if a lift goes sour.
@@cavalieroutdoors6036 well if your failing your back squats with 700 pounds and dropping it from the top multiple times then you may need a bette rack, but if you fail it like a normal person there should be a drop if maybe a centimeter which I think this rack could withstand 100s of times without bending

Im looking for an excuse to get an upgrade but I can't because it works just as well as any premium rack thus far and im not new to training either. Im from nj so out shut downs have been the worse in the country so I wasn't going to just stop training. Im continually impressed with this rack for sure any beginner or intermediate lifter will be fine with this.

Had the bar been more rigid, this would have ended up much differently. The bar absorbed tons of impact with that elastic flexing and ultimately plastic bending it did.

I hold that a stiffer bar would have placed significantly more stress on the rack, maybe enough to cause catastrophic failure. But that's just conjecture and I don't have the resources or drive/need to carry out such a test.
Thats why you buy a good bar, Theyre literally less then 100$. No body is squatting with $50 barbells. Its not worth the risk of the bar bending so better bars has a flex bend to them
This is a low bar, on the other side (much lower than this cheap-o amazon rack would ever allow ;-) ... I still like the Loki-figure, they hired a true actor for this role, makes a world of a difference...
Glad to see this. I picked up a 4th squat rack for my training studio during the pandemic and grabbed one of these for cheap. I was planning to eventually sell it and upgrade.. BUT - this thing is great for a lot of the women and beginners that I train. I'll open it up more now that I've seen this. I actually really like using the front of the safeties for barbell floor presses or RDLs without having to move the mini-J-Hooks back and forth. I might modify it so I can floor-mount it, but besides that, it ain't bad for the price.

People forget that racks are literally just metal beams with holes in them. There is no reason any company should be able to charge more than $300 for it. Most people could make their own for cheaper than the price of a medium-tier rack

I've had this rack for almost a year now and love it, not the best but it gets the job done really well considering the price. Happy it survived the dreaded drop test of doom. Lol
He's definitely got some muscle. He trains mainly for strength and fitness though, not mass. I know a 72 yr old retired chiropractor who looks similar but he lifts more at the gym than guys who are younger and bigger than he is.

Gotta have the right budget rack. This is a good one, I've read reviews on Amazon that were mostly positive. I think bugez has an old body solid rack and their stuff is good
Idk bugez’s financials but he’s DEFINITELY too rich to be doing the insane shit he does on that old piece of junk. That shit is a safety hazard.
