- Last year I unboxed the Fitness Reality 810xlt Super Max Power Cage and then followed up with a review video on it. Well I've added a lot of attachments to the cage since then and I've also had a lot of time to get comfortable with it, so I decided to do a 6 month review for anyone looking for more information about the power cage. Spoiler alert... this rack is still the best part of my backyard and your home gym or garage gym is calling it's name! Love and peace everybody, Out!

Great, honest review. Folks get caught up wanting a big name brand cage and never lift to those max capacities. I still have my bench from 7th grade, I am over 50 now. It was mid-grade budget when I bought it, and still have it in fine working order. I am sure you will get all the life you want out of that cage.

The power cage with the lat pull down is $528 on Amazon prime right now. I’m most likely going to go ahead and buy it since you sold me on this equipment! I’ve been wanting to finally start building my home gym since I’ve been getting tired of going to the gym and every equipment being taken up. The power cage with a lat pull down is something I’ve wanted to do bench press, shoulder press, squat, deadlift, back, triceps and biceps and your review on this power cage is just amazing and completely sold me on it. On top of it, it’s not expensive right now on Amazon!! Now the only thing I’ll have to keep doing my research on is weight plates and finding the right price. So your video was especially enjoyable after picking the same cage you have. I had a more solid cage but it didn't have a lat attachment and I have a very small room to put it in. I live in Canada, so this cage will cost a little more for me, but I think would still be worth it. Public gyms keep shutting down and people are getting sick, having a home gym is definitely the way to go. Thanks for the great review.
Those are the same reasons that me and a lot of other people moved to the home gym. Once you're setup and ready to go you see just hot much more practical it is! You're gonna to love that cage. Are you getting the cage alone or adding the lat pulldown attachment too?

Hey Vern thanks for turning me on to the fitness reality dip handles. They really do make quality stuff. I already had a different brand cage, but they work just fine on it. Love watchin you go at it outside in those windy city winters! I can watch from the heated comfort of my weight room and get inspired.

You absolutely want to drop the extra money it's what really takes that cage to the next level and I've come up with some additional modifications that take even more advantage of that pulldown system.

your video was shot well man. I know most people don't appreciate how a video is shot, but I for one do. the audio quality was definitely appreciated. The B-Roll footage was a plus also. Just wanted to say you definitely gave me a different outlook on the cage, I've been considering it for the past year and haven't pulled the trigger because I'm also considering titan fitness power cage which is a few hunted bucks more expensive. But now you have given me a better look at this one.

I am getting the REP Fitness PR1100
I looked at the specs and it's Damm near the same thing. It's a little more expensive but not by much. $359 total instead of $299 but I like to hear info on comparable racks. REP is like the cheaper version of Rouge Fitness. Quality products but way cheaper. Plus they offer free shipping on all of their products as of a month ago.
I've seen that rack and it definitely looks close to the same product. The smooth part about it is having a rack at home! When is it arriving man? I wanna hear what you think about it once you get a chance to use it. You're good to be amped! 🤣

cool video big dawg! Just got my cage in today. planning to buy the lat pull down sometime in a couple months, for now im gonna use one of those cheap wire pulldwons from amazon until i buy the real thing.
That pulldown you're talking about is a perfect holdover Jei! Congrats on the cage! Did you put it together yet? If so how would you rate the build process? Was it easy, hard or somewhere in between?

Honestly they don't even have a name on the side. I got them used. The Olympic plates look like bumper plates but there not. They are Weider Olympic Plates.
Wait I never thought of bench pressing in the cage. I’m always hesitant of maxing out without a spotter. But putting on the safeties would solve that.

You’re welcome! You definitely made the right choice. So many other brand attachments work with it too. The uprights are true to 2”x2” uprights.

@@chanada8447Yep, It's not something that I've done once, It's something that I do regularly and yes it's smooth but you can't use a ton of weight and it doesn't feel the same as a cable puller system.

Have you had any issues with the 3" hole spacing? Debating if paying an extra ~$75 for the Titan T-2 is worth it for the 2" hole spacing.
Hey man thanks for stopping by. I have to be honest I'm not sure what that means so I assume the answer is no because that cage has been solid for me! I've had issues with my Sunny Health and Fitness Cage because the holes are not 1 inch standard holes so I can't use any outside accessories with that cage.
This is a good cage. I kept mine and just upgraded it. See my upgrades on my channel.

For the lat attachment, can you use full sized plates? Ie. a 45 pound plate, I know the weight capacity but wondering if the dimensions of the plate matter? Thanks in advance fam
Most definitely Daien! I'm using Olympic Plates on mine but you have to buy a couple of 2 inch adapter sleeves to put em on properly. It's goofy but the lat pulldown comes with 1 inch plate holders.
