Thank you for being versatile and showing other racks besides the super expensive ones. We have this rack and it has been great.
Of course. Trying to continue doing both pricey and budget minded reviews. Tons of value in these. - Coop
To get a review on this channel, the company has to allow an affiliate link. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with this, just saying that's the deciding factor. And he discloses this too. There's lots of great brands (cheap and expensive) that don't get reviewed because they don't give affiliate links with rebates to the reviewer.
@@GarageGymReviews hey there Cooper man I have an emergency announcement for you. Someone has set up a scam and is targeting your commenters. Might want to make a community post. I received a comment reply that was then deleted and some Indian guy is trying to get me to pay $100 to (supposedly) ship Flybird equipment my way.
@@GarageGymReviewsethos powerack from sidka
Probably one of the best purchases I've ever made in my entire life. The build is solid. Its versatile and can't go wrong for the price. Must buy for any one wanting to start a home gym
I’ve had this exact model for the past 3 years and it has been great! I bought it as a way to get into the home gym lifestyle but have yet to find a reason to upgrade to anything bigger or heavier. I have been seeing the results over the years and can’t complain one bit about this rack!
What a coincidence! For space reasons, I had this whole setup purchased in March 2022 but only had the rack itself. Just a week and change ago I finally got space and added the lat pulldown and fell MORE in love with the rack. Adds way more stability/less wobble, and far as the standard holes, Amazon has a ton of cheap olympic sleeve adapters-- I got a PAIR for like $12? Works great! THanks for the idea of putting the leg lock for lat pulldown lower and use for Bulgarians! This is why I love this channel: doesn't matter if its a $300 rack or a $4,000 rack, you always go in depth and show off versatility so all viewers and buyers get the most of their purchase!
Would like to see a review on the Hulkfit/BalanceFrom (same umbrella company) rack with cable crossover setup. I think the lowest I saw each piece was like $220 for rack, $240 for cable crossover and it seemed interesting. Prices change a lot though, but would be curious to see a comparison of that versus this Fitness Reality for the best budget rack and cable setup, and in review show off exercises you can do with them, even if you make recommendations for cheap Yes4All accessories. Thanks Coop and GGR team!
I would love to see the PR 1000 since it is an similar category as this rack shown but with all the rep fitness goodies as well
I’ve had mine for 2 years, no problems, loving it!
It's great that even the entry-level stuff is getting good. When my dad started getting his home gym together in the early 90's, the affordable stuff was really weak and prone to failure. Many of my challenges and early injuries were because the equipment was so bad. I also can't count the number of times I got slivers of chrome in my hands that peeled off the spinlock dumbbells.
Love mine. It does get the job done, and that’s all I need.
Would love to see Coop review the Rep PR-1100, with lat pull-down attachment if possible! Thanks for putting out such great content.
You can put Olympic sleeves on this which helps to minimize movement of the plates. Also easily added a pulley and handle on each side coming off moveable pins that turn this into a DIY functional trainer - allowing chest fly etc.
Hey I got this one, and bought the Titan Fitness Monolift and it fits this rack perfectly. I'd like to get that pulley system u bought for this rack as well. Which one did you get?
I wasn't used to the width of a Rogue Rack, but now I can appreciate it. Its helped tremendously on my walkout and lift off.
I LOVED YOUR review 2 years ago for Fitness Reality I bought mine that day .
Another great review Coop! I purchased a Golds Gym rack back in the early 2000’s that looked exactly like this one. I got three years worth of use before I grew out of it. It served me very well. Thanks for all your hard work. V/R Shane
Definitely would love to see a review on the major lutie rack with functional trainer! Thanks for the great content!
This is a great cage. I've owned one for 3 years now and have produced over 40 videos for it. Thanks for bringing the budget cage to more people here on RUclips Coop.
USAWA, your videos are why I have this rack!
@@orange_dt That's what's up! I appreciate you watching some of mine too!
Yup Usawa, your review sold me this rack haha. It arrived today!
@@nostalgia3475 Let me know what you think about it. It's a beast!
I had a half rack by IMPEX Powerhouse Fitness about 22 years ago. It was a Christmas gift when I was 16. Very similar to this. That thing had pull downs, came with a bench with curl attachment and leg rollers for ham curls and leg extensions. That thing got me hooked on weight lifting and fitness. I can see a lot of dads putting this in the basement to teach their kids on.
I've been waiting for this. I'd like to see a review on the mikolo power cage with lat pulldown
REP PR1000 6 post, weight storage option will fit with a longer bolt
I have had this rack for almost 2 years and the cable attachment for about 6 months. It is a cheaper rack but I can’t see my self loading much more then 400 lbs on it, At my age and fitness level.
The Safty feature on it has saved me a few times. I would recommend it to a new lifter or someone like myself that might not use more then 400 to 500 lbs on it
I bought this about a year ago and love it! I'm not looking to lift more than 450lbs. So this is perfect. It fits in my 1-bedroom apt. I've added some j hooks & dip attachments. I noticed lately they had an additional pulley system to allow for cable crossovers. Not sure how to add that to what I have but this plus adjustable dumbbells makes for a great little home gym.
This is a really good idea. I've always felt like your "recommended for most people" products are on the higher end of what most people are willing or able to pay.
That mustache is awesome coop, liking the beard scruff too💪💪💪
Will definitely be keeping an eye for upcoming videos. I'd love to get one with a lat pull down.
this is the exact setup I have in my basement gym and is fantastic!!! I bought it due to the original review.
Great vid Coop! Can you please do the Sunny Health & Fitness squat rack next? Love the content as always.
I purchased an ER Kang squat rack with lat pull down/ row attachment because that's all I could afford at the time. The hole diameter was .89 inch, so I purchased a 1 inch step drill bit to make more holes and add better attachments. It's a pretty decent entry-level rack, but I'm saving up for a Bells of Steel rack next year!
I didn't even think of using the Leg Holder for Bulgarian Split Squats. I put a barbell pad on the safety bar and use that. One of my favourite things is getting new ideas for exercises with what I already have. Thanks 😁
I have this rack and it works great. Regarding the standard plates… just add some Olympic plate sleeves and then your plates won’t move around on the lat pull-down. Also, I store my 45lb plates on this rack with an attachment they offer. I wish they would come out with more accessories for this rack since so many people have this.
I bought this Squat Rack in early 2020 right before the pandemic started, so having had it for a little over 3 years now and using it consistently I will tell you it is an amazing starting Rack. I still have it and will actually be purchasing the Lat Pulldown attachment for it soon. I am far from being a rich person by any means, so having an affordable Squat Rack like this has been great. The only real downside to it is that I wish it were a little wider like mentioned in the video, as when I try to re-rack the bar after doing squats I've nearly had my fingers crushed as the j-hooks are so close together and I can't bring in my arms any closer. Which is why I started using a safety squat bar instead and things have been fine since then.
Happy Lifting!
Working out on this exact rack at my firehouse right now. Does the job. Got it for cheap on marketplace last year with 300#, a bar and dip handles for $300. Donated it to the fire department.
Hey COOOOP!
I’m new to your channel. Your reviews are great! I really enjoy the way you break things down and explain your reasoning.
I’d like to see you take a look at the Mikolo F4. Seems to be similar to this cage but with some extra attachments.
Fitness Reality makes an awesome accessory kit that has dip bars, weight storage, better J -cups, and a landmine attachment for only $150
I have this rack and like it. Weight storage - I took the arms off of a floor stand and bolted them on the bottom sides of the back uprights to hold my 35s and 45s. Put arms on the sides top to hold my 25s and lower. bought the rack in 2018, then the lat pull down 2019. I have the landmine attachment as well. It's still holding strong.
Sure it is not as nice as a 3X3, but fit my budget and does the job.
Thanks for the videos Coop!
This is the one I'm planning to buy this year.
Will the bulletproof isolator attachment fit on this rack?
Hey Coop, another one that could be a good cheap rack review is the “Major Lutie PLM03”. At $800 with all the attachment, it looks promising.
wow. If I knew about this rack when I was shopping I would have gotten it. That pulley system is amazing and not often something you can get at that price point.
This one been looking at it
This one would be great! debating on purchasing this rack myself.
@@BIRS1 Yea me too, but it’d be cool if Coop can do a review. It’d be interesting for sure
I got the Major Lutie SML-07, power rack with cables and smith machine. Dope for the price, but assembly is like trying to decipher the Rosetta Stone!
Best intros on YT.
This design would work for me but I want something taller. I would like something where the pull-up bar is about 90” tall. Do you have any recommendations? It will be outside in the backyard and just for hanging and pull ups.
Check out the valor fitness bd-7. Great budget rack with a lay pulldown. I’ve had it for years. Also think valor doesn’t get talked about enough.
Thanks for the review. they also have another attachment that came out. I believe it’s a functional trainer attachment that is different from the traditional functional trainer add on.
Glad you are reviewing the budget friendly exercise equipment as many home gym owners have those components in their basement or garage. Your channel is well rounded.
Just a thought will you ever consider reviewing a sliding bench trainer on your show to see if it’s a worthy home gym equipment?
Major Lutie rack with cable crossovers would be nice to see. Seems almost too good for the price but I’m mainly curious about the cable and pulley durability
I have been wanting to see this reviewed as well. It sounds like a steal for all you get but wanna make sure it’s good quality before thinking about buying
@@cincymavshq5393that rack seem to good to be real
same, I just can justify Rep Ares right now with buying a new house. its $6k with all the options I want but with $6k I could get an equivalent cheaper rack and a ton of weight, a machine I want like a leg press, flooring, and everything else I'd ever need
Could you do a review on the Bells of Steel squat rack? I've been debating on getting the cheaper model. It has a lot of attachments, including a plate loaded cable tower that I saw once on your show. It would help a lot. Thanks for the great content
I have this set up. Works great.
Thank you for your review(s).
Which cage could you review with stability in mind for resistance straps and a resistance band station that includes the option of a pull-up bar?
I also appreciated your recommendation of going with 2x3 dimensions for the metal.
I'd like to see A Garage Gym Review of the MAJOR LUTIE Power Cage. The Multifunction Power Rack.
Never mind. If I was patient, I'd see that it was in the works or has already been mentioned in the video. lol
LOVE TO SEE A HULKFIT REVIEW
I'd love to see the synergee power rack reviewed, it's on the same quality and price point level as the Fitness Reality.
Y’all should make a video acknowledging how great prices are right now! You mention this rack being $300 at the time due to inflation…I just got it for $249! And the Flybird bench everyone said was a good buy at $150, it’s now $111. I got some CAP 45 lb bumper plates for $34!! That’s cheaper than *used* iron plates. It’s crazy after getting so used to products being like double the prices mentioned in 1-2 year old videos. I guess I picked the right time to build a home gym, seems like I paid maybe 40% less than what it would have cost for the past few years. (Of course I also just bought a house at 7% interest for 2x what it would have cost 4 years ago, so you win some you lose some 😂😅)
I purchased a couple pairs of Yes4All weight storage horns that fit quite well with this rack.
Would be interested in your thoughts on the PR-1050 Short Home Gym Power Rack for people in basements with low ceilings. Thx Coop!
I really appreciate your review amigo. I have limited space but its time to maximize it and get rippppedddddd - well very fit 😁
That same company has a half rack that the lat pulldown/low row attachment fits as well. Great rack
Please review the Fray Fitness savage series functional trainer and squat rack combo!
Had the rack for years, it’s great! Just got the lat pull down installed last night!
Did you get the Fitness Reality lat pull down from Amazon, or the knock off ProGear from Walmarts website?
I have this rack and love it. However, I bought the lat pull down and the foam leg rollers were missing. Its been over 3 years and they still haven't responded/resolved the issue. So just be aware, its a good price. But you don't really have much customer service.
I'm not sure if they read this and then trawled through old emails. But they reached out and 3 years later are sending me the missing parts lol.
Hey Coop. Bought this rack used from a guy in SC. I don’t know where he bought them, but he had multiple weight storage attachments. I use this baby daily. Cheers!
I would love to see you review the X-Class rack and lat pull-down, also from Fitness Reality!
If possible, could you review the RitFit with Lat Pulldown PC-410 Max or the ToughFit PR-410 Max.. would like to get insights on those before pulling the trigger on one of those, or this Fitness Reality XLT power cage... great video, as always!
hulk fit power cage
and also can you review the GMWD leverage gym
I'd love to see you try some attachments like lever arms or j hooks on this rack and see what's worth buying. I was able to find weight horns that work well with the rack as weight storage but haven't been brave enough to test more expensive attachments
Hulkfit power rack please
I mix heavy compounds into my workout routine with my climbing training. This more than does the job when you don't need to do a ton of isolation exercises at home!
If i had to start all over with a rack id definitely go with this. Thats great for the price
Can you review the Cap barbell f8000 deluxe squat rack plz
I have a Fitness Reality FID bench with the leg attachment and preacher curl station. It's really nice.
I bought a cheap squat rack so I could learn to squat safely in the privacy of my basement without feeling self conscious in public. Working out great. Just ordered a cheap lat pull add-,on. Hopefully it's nice as this one .
Solid review .. I approve this message ... Being I personally purchased this rack.
The Major Lutie and ER Kang racks with the built in cable system, are the best value out there. I say this as I have the ER Kang cable system rack and have been using it for 10 months. The Only difference in the Major Lutie and the ER Kang cable system racks is the ER Kang has laser cut numbered uprights where the Major Lutie has no numbers on the uprights. Both are nice but I like the numbered uprights so I got the ER Kang rack. It's not the biggest or the best but it is the best value out there for someone who wants a power rack and a functional trainer. Biggest con is they are plate loaded but I don't mind that so I'm very happy with mine.
Can't wait for this review, over the last 6 months I have mentioned these racks to multiple reviewers asking them to do a review but no one has done a review on them yet. Glad to see U are reviewing this Great valued prodoct.
Can you please do a review of the Pivot Murphy bed squat rack?
Do the Marcy Workout Station please. Cheap with lots of built in but is it any good?
The legend continues it's story!
* its Minus 5 lol
Did you review the rep fitness 1100 power rack? Thanks from the south of France 😉
Please review the Rep PR-1100 Power Rack. That seems to be their version of these budget racks!
Ultra Fuego multifunction power cage is one that I see on Amazon but don’t see any good reviews on it. Comes with a lot of add-ons but I don’t know if it’s worth it. Would like to know what you think.
Ive seen nothing but good reviews. If you have a second, What were the negatives and what did you end up going with?
Have this very power rack with all the accessories, Lat Pull, handles for dips, landmines, etc. It's great for the price!
Mikolo one looks like a good vid to
Looking forward to the Rep 1000/1100 review
Sunny health review would be frickin SWEET! I just bought it and love that they offer accessories right off amazon. I got the landmine and the barbell holders for silly cheap! Im super impressed so far and like the look of the boxed out safeties . The pin safeties just look cheap to me 🤷♂️. Love the content dude, thank you!
Pin safeties of 1" solid steel bar. Maybe cheap, but they are plenty strong. Cut up a pool noodle for them and use it for rack pulls to keep the barbell in great shape.
Coop, you mentioned at the end what sounds like a preference for a budget squat rack over a squat stand. So would you say this over say a quality squat stand, like Bridgebuilt Phoenix? I’m a regular garage gym guy but also put a premium on saving space. (And don’t need the $5000+ Rep/Rogue set up.) This rack is great on price but does take up more space than a squat stand or even half rack. Weight my options as I upgrade a cheap Amazon squat stand so thanks for any insight.
Would love your comments on their cable crossover setup for this rack
Go over the “giant lifting” garage gym rack!! Very similar getup, but it is powder coated! Lots of Al high quality attachments too! Lat tower also available.
i had to invert the pull up bar at the top due to ceiling hight. will the lat pulldown attachment still work if i were to buy it?
About damn time
A humble request for a review of the Rep PR1000.
I'd really like to see the Grind fitness Alpha3000. It's the cheapest full rack I can find and looks great online but not sure if I should pull the trigger on it.
Hey man, great video!
Couple questions, you look pretty tall, and I am 6'4 myself, does the rack itself support that kind of height? Do you think it would be tall enough? The pullup bars are a primary concern of mine.
Also, being tall and having long arms means having a long range of motion for many excersizes with the lat pulldown attachment. I want to buy this one, but am scared that I will run into the same problem I have with my current cheap functional trainer, and that is the weights hit the peak of the pulley before my range of motion is complete, This is a problem I am having for things like cable lateral raises.
Is any of this a concern I would have with this machine?
Thanks!
Don’t know if the response is to late or not but I’m 6’4 I have 0 problems using this machine
I’d love to see those Mikolo Power Racks. Woooo
Thanks!
Could you please review GDLF LAT Pull Down Machine, the Spud Inc Econo High pulleylow pulley and/or other budget friendly space saving lat pull options? Your video for a cheap pulley during the pandemic was a game changer. Thank you for doing that. But I found that one has a weight limit that I would like to go above.
Hi
Can you suggest a lever arm that will fit this cage?
hi garage gym, i am curious how do you compare this model to major lutie rack?
I've had this rack for 4 going 5 years now with no issue, I've added weight storage from Rep and spotter arms alongside Titan's mono lift arms. Still going strong. Hoping to upgrade to a better rack in the near future
Do you know which Rep attachments/weight storage work for this rack? The 1000 series or 1100 series?
@@sonofashepherd6668 PR-1100 series
Which Spotter Arms does fit fit the Rack?
Have you or could you review the Major Lutie Power Cage PLM03?
Hey im only searching for the leg Blockers. For help when Use the lat machine. Where can i find it?
I'm curious on the FITNESS REALITY X-Class Rack can you add Arm Jammers
Have you reviewed the hulkfit power rack ? How does it compare ?
I just got me a Gear for Fit-1100. Same tier. Love it though. Pretty much identical to the REP pr-1100, with some very small differences.
Would like to know if you'd prefer this rack w/ pull down or rep fitness 1100 w/ pull down since they are about the same price range.
I think you should review the titan t-3 and all the attachments that go with it.
