    The company I worked for, IH Sydney Training Services, went into voluntary administration and then closed in one day. More than a hundred ELICOS teachers lost their jobs two weeks before Christmas.

      That’s devastating. More than 100 teachers lost their jobs in just one day, all because of the Labor government wanting to “close the tap”.

    International students come to Australia, study and work hard, spend a lot, live a stressful life only because they hope to get a PR one day which would provide them an opportunity to live a better life here than back in their home country. If its about education, its quality in countries like India, China, Bangladesh, or even Nepal are far better than in Australia. Here you study for 6months in a year, that also mostly through PowerPoint slides, no actual exams, only assignments. In India or Nepal etc. students study all year round, sit in actual exams, face fierce academic competitions, hence they gain high level of academic intelligence in comparison.

    • @sabkaabaap8847
      @sabkaabaap8847 22 дня назад +3

      In this present situation, why an international student should consider Australia? You pay hundreds of thousands of dollars, work low level jobs though you are highly qualified, face 24hrs per week work restrictions, pay for everything, tax, oshc, high rental, zero subsidies, get two years TR after completing current study, that also if you are below 35years of age, after completing TR not allowed to apply another student visa or stay here, and there is no way you could get PR by the time you finish your TR since you won't get job in your field easily unless you have already a PR or citizenship, and above all, you get scammed by the government with abrupt changes in rules every now and then. Better go to US oe Europe.

    • @Humankindness22
      @Humankindness22 22 дня назад

      @@sabkaabaap8847 What you're complaining about is like complaining about having to pay your own way and complaining about not having easy permanent residency. High rental is for everyone in Australia right now and the same as tax. Australia residents have to pay for insurance or else they get slugged with the medicare levy. 24 hours per week because you're on a student visa. The 24 hours is a boost to the savings gradually over time and in term breaks you can work as much as you want. Also companies want qualified professionals. Even students in Australia work part time in woolies or retail whilst studying.

    • @estellebright2579
      @estellebright2579 22 дня назад +2

      I find it funny that you equate fierce competition with having high-quality education. I don’t see waves of people from western world to study at China’s universities for example. Also hundreds of thousands of Chinese university graduates can’t find any job for years after graduation especially under current economical situation. This should speak for itself.

    • @sabkaabaap8847
      @sabkaabaap8847 22 дня назад

      @estellebright2579 quality of life is much better in Australia compared to any other part of the world, once you get the PR, and the government uses this fact to lure the international students. Hence, the flock of these cash cows is directed towards Australia not China

    • @sabkaabaap8847
      @sabkaabaap8847 22 дня назад

      @estellebright2579 the quality of life is much better here after getting the PR and the government uses this fact to lure the international students. Hence the flock of cash cows is directed towards Australia not China. Definitely not because of the quality of education would anyone come here, otherwise why would they prefer staying here even after completing their studies.

    This is impossible to understand. No respect for parliament. "We will do whatever we want to achieve our goals regardless the constitution and protection measures put in place to protect the people".
    Why do we have such incompetent politicians in power?
    When will this abuse of innocent people end?

    Hi Carl, I love your videos and I absolutely agree with everything you say. Australia is starting to become known as an unstable country for international students and very expensive one. In the case of the visa fee, if it gets denied, the money is non-refundable, which would make sense if the visa fee weren't so high. In my case, I didn’t want to stay in the country but to recover my initial investment, which was a lot, since I came to study English at first. For my renewal, I chose a graduate diploma because I could apply for a graduate visa after my studies. I paid a lot of money to go through the legal process of renewing my visa with my partner, and after a few months, they changed the legislation and now I won’t be able to apply for my graduate visa. I cried a lot and suffered, but the truth is, it doesn’t make sense to apply a law when someone has already gone through the process, especially after paying such a large amount of money. The law should be retroactive. We, too, will always act based on our convenience. Nowadays, almost all countries are getting into the education business, and at much more affordable prices. Thank you for all your videos, You are one of the few people I know who speaks honestly about immigration issues, sending you a greeting

    I applied for a protection visa in 2017 which was refused in 2023 and I lodge tribunal which was also refused on 13th November 2024 as my current visa will cease in 35 days. I work as a registered Nurse and my work place applied for a BVB for me so they can apply for a work visa. Unfortunately, one year work experience did not take effect, so my work place applied for visa 407 (training visa) offshore instead.
    On arriving in Australia, I lodge an appeal of the decision and I applied for BVA on Dec 6 separately as my BVB will cease on 18th Dec. 14th Dec, I called the department and I was told to keep an eye on my email. 16 dec called department was told an email has been sent to the team to speed up the visa processing and also told me to contact the department immediately if my visa expired. On 19 dec, i contacted the department and i was told i just have to wait that email has been sent on my behave as i have to wait for correspondence from the deparment. I was also told that i am not allowed to work or study until my visa is aproved. so now, i have no visa and frustrated. Please any tangible advise to de-escalate this situation will be highly appreciated.

And approved certain countries even though the study purpose isn't 'genuine' =/
