I do pretty much the same, though I include a hi hat send, and I combine all of my toms. The presets that I start with usually have the toms well balanced, so it works well for me.

That's actually how the ml sound lab ml drums works with it's routing and to be honest I'm digging that workflow

I wish there was a way to keep this routing inside superior drummer even when switching to a new kit. I’ve got my favourite custom kit that I start every session with , but if I need a different sound I have to through and route everything again.

Geez, I though this is already sorted out... (Just gathering info to buy EZDrummer 3 to use with the TD50X, and can't seem to find any video about multi-output routing to a drum module OR a multi-out interface...)

@galgogergo it's very similar. You just have to then make those daw channels feed your interfaces outputs. If you are using sd3 standalone they can pick the multiple interface outputs from its menus and routing

@@IntheDAW but does it keep the routing if I switch kits? Or it initializes it again...?

@galgogergo if you save it as a preset and make it default internally you can have it always start that way. You can also select keep output routing on preset change in the 2nd preset menu at the bottom.
This will save it between libraries but it's not perfect because some libraries have extra kick and snares that others don't. So I would spend a day going thru every library and make sure there default state is how you like it

The need to route every drum mic as stereo is extremely wasteful of resources and quickly exhausts the 16 stereo outputs of a standard sized kit with 3 rack toms and 2 floor toms. I really wish there was an easy button in the SD3 mixer to route all mics as mono before being bussed to the multi-channel stereo pairs to the driver so that I can easily just bus them as individual mics in Logic. I haven't found a video yet that describes how to do this. Yes, this compromises the ability to use bleed, pans, and presets within SD3, but for those of us who solely purchased SD3 for the samples and perhaps eKit tracking and want to do ALL our production work within Logic, it seems a reasonable ask of Toontrack. If anyone has a link that can show me how to do this, please let me know.

There is a way but it's only for nuendo/cubase
