You must have the old model. I got the composite toe they are light airy and still provide all the protection of steel.
The last clip of truck stuck. Driver abandoned the truck running, windows down, cell phone in cup holder, wallet in passenger seat and left the truck. Finally got the company on the phone and this driver was already 2 days late getting to the shipper.
So In Other Words , He Doesn't Work There Anymore & He Didnt Stick Around To Get Terminated ( Shame On The Mess , A Real 1 !!! )

I retired from trucking in the late 90s.
Back in the 80s there was a truck stop called “The Roadside Truck Stop”.
I was a regular there and I was known as “The King Of The Truck Stop” at that time. I had a chair and nobody was permitted to sit in that particular chair other than me. I had a west wing bathroom law. No one was allowed to use the bathroom in the west wing between midnight and 6 am. Only me. People would buy me meals to stay on my good side. Those were the good old days.

If the driver at 5:15 had looked at a map he would have realized that the interstates around Nashville circle AROUND Nashville. He could have continued on the "wrong" path and looped around Nashville and reconnected with I-24 or I-40 East on the South side of Nashville. Get a MAP and ignore your GPS!
Whenever we see these drivers sweeping out their trailer and littering, get the company name, truck number, and DOT number and send it to the company and the police. We need to put a stop to this 😢

If you drive faster, more aggressively, then this proportionally increases your personal attention to all the small details on the road and greatly reduces the time for analyzing the situation, forecasting the situation, and making the right decision and action to avoid an accident! Tell these drivers already! Driving in the left lane, driving over the speed limit, driving in traffic and watching RUclips. We all know how it ends, but there are still many of those drivers!

I've only been training for 3 weeks, and I love trucking..
It's crazy to see these guys who have more experience than me, making mistakes out there.. that I would never make with no experience..
I got lucky, The company I've been working for the past 2 years, decided to start a training program as soon as I mentioned that I was going to be leaving to join Rohel, to start a trucking career.. they asked me to stay, and they said they will get me my CDL, no strings attached.. I was put in their local trucking department as a route truck helper.. I got my permit and I have been training for the last 3 weeks..
Everything about trucking seemed impossible and complicated at first..
Now everything is like second nature.. I still can't drive a manual truck to save my life, thinking about just going ahead and getting the manual restriction.. My trainer and boss definitely don't want that for me, but I can't drive a manual truck, at least not good enough to pass the Road skills test.. it's going to take a lot of paid experience and headache, if you know what I mean.. 😅
when you drive, listen and feel the engine rpm's. you can float gears without the bs double clutching.
The snow clip: Speed posted is 70 mph, minimum 45 mph. If I was speeding 25 mph over the limit, it would be reckless driving. But, it's okay to impede traffic? It is just as dangerous to go too slow as it is to go too fast. 🤔 Except for inclement weather.

Every time I go south of the 70, I pray to the good lord that I make it out safely. The south scares me to no end. And that peterbilt driver going to Memphis is the reason why. That is not the first time I’ve seen behavior like that in the south!

Ghost trucking. Call ghost busters they'll set out some traps. I am at a truck stop in Pennsylvania that drivers just threw out there stuff out the back on the ground. Dix trucking must get around. Also the other day saw a driver with one of those grippers in his left hand going down the road. Apparently you don't even need to barely hold on to the steering wheel anymore. Boy times have changed.

Any bonehead can make a video of anything. It takes a real bonehead to make a video and fun of a tragedy. Heck, he went live yesterday crying about how much time he had invested into that video and why he had to pull it down. He was actually crying over pulling the video.
"Too soon" is maybe the oldest form of virtue signaling.
By the way, do you know which awful sociopaths always come out of the woodwork during a tragedy? First responders wait what? They are NOTORIOUS for their dark humor while they do their job, to the point it would make a combat veteran blush. They are the main driving force for websites that show the grim realities that we're all sheltered from.
Some people just use levity in the face of tragedy, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. If that isn't your style, don't watch. But don't judge other peoples' coping mechanisms either.
