    I’m using your 6 week free training program, and I’m on week five now. Thank you so much for giving us an in-depth program for free. I definitely got stronger, and it taught me a lot on programming my own weighted calisthenics program.

      @@MichaSchulzI have one question though. Does the workout plan you showed in this video also support muscle building or only strength building?

    • @MichaSchulz
      @MichaSchulz  Год назад +4

      You will and can never separate this two anyway. The program is movement based. It’s designed to get you better in certain lift. For that you also need more muscles over time. So yes, this works

    My main lifts are ( not a competitor )
    = Handstand PUSHUPS
    Weighted pullups
    Weighted dips
    Deadlifts
    Squats
    These are just the exercises that I like to do and also wish to get stronger at over time.
    I think I have done a pretty good job at creating my own program after watching your programming series.
    So many many thanks!

      I only do Weighted Pushups , Weighted Pullups , and Weighted Squats.
      If I only do 3 exercise , how many Sets And Reps I should do ?

    Nice video, great breakdown. I noticed no vertical pressing in this program, but there is accessory horizontal pressing (chest press and bench). Have you just not found the carryover from vertical pressing to dips?

    • @MichaSchulz
      @MichaSchulz  Год назад +2

      In my off season I work more overhead 👍🏻 for the prep bench is the better assistance for me

    When working out percentages do you add your bodyweight and added weighted combined or percentage of weighted added? So for strength training you want a minimum of 80% of your 1rm, is that worked out from the weight you are lifting or your bodyweight and weight. Can be tricky to workout exactly

    • @MichaSchulz
      @MichaSchulz  22 дня назад

      Yes: ((bodyweight + extra weight)*%1RM)- bodyweight = weight on the belt

  • @dusk7642
    @dusk7642 Год назад +5

    did weighted calisthenics help you on static holds? (atheletes such as ian barseagle say that weighted dips and weighted pull ups ate a shortcut for statics.) Do you agree?

    • @MichaSchulz
      @MichaSchulz  Год назад +4

      Not a shortcut, but they definitely help with creating sufficient training volume and intensity to progress sustainable with lever skills

      For raw stremgth maybe, but the technicality of holds is vastly different. My pr dip is 100% bodyweight for 2 reps, but my planche strength has suffered while i was getting to this just from not maintaining it, whereas i used to hold an ok straddle planche for about 8 seconds and do 2 pushups. Now it's like 3 seconds and barely a pushup. My pullup pr is 135 for 2, but my full front lever is way easier since it's part of my warmup consistently.

      Comp squat is lowbar for me with all the equipment I also use in the comp. Normal squat is high bar

    How many sets and reps you do when doing weifhted calisthenics. 10 x 12 sounds silly , I love 30 reps but cant do it till 6 sets because of the extreme fatigue and laziness. Please tell me your reps and sets so I can ideally and optimally do my workout Thank you so much

    • @MichaSchulz
      @MichaSchulz  Год назад

      It's the week(s) before the competition where you maintain high training intensity but you cut the volume short to stay adapted to strength but get rid of fatigue from too much volume

    Thanks for the Video micha , Great information .
    I noticed that you have your tertiary lift quite often at the start of the session , were I always thought that you put the excise you want the most focus on most the first as it allows you to dedicate the most amount of effort towards this , is this due to the fact that you are only training it at a low RPE and because it is more skill work so its more of a warm up exercise that you put it first . hope that make sense , thanks

    • @MichaSchulz
      @MichaSchulz  Год назад +1

      You are right, it’s just the muscle up that smashes the system a bit as it needs to go first to be trained with high quality
