Just sharing a fact:- *A QHD display set at FHD still drains more battery than a native FHD phone display, cause even at FHD, the display is still lighting up all 4.5M pixels compared to just 2.6M of let's say the K30 pro zoom*
Then there's no use setting it at fhd(except when gaming and other gpu intensive tasks). But at the same time qhd is what we're paying our money for, so why set it at fhd.
@@momosbiryani You actually have more quality at 1080p. All if the AMOLED panels are pentile. At 1080p you get 2 full-sized red/subpixels and 2 half sized green ones working at lower brightness each. At 1440p each half sized green subpixels act as if they were a full sized subpixels then it interpolates the red/blue subpixels to fill the missing 1/3 r&b subpixels. For mobile only laptops and Galaxy tab line uses a fully RGB AMOLED panel.
@@momosbiryani he did a test with max setting, watch that if you want to see what you really get for your money This test is for those who really want flagship phone with the best battery
That's so true, at the mean time, qhd oled setting at fhd still better quality than native fhd oled, so it's like a trade, more battery dreain in exchange of better quality especially in color texture.
Haha gonna cry? Dont gave sorry, fullHD it's full HD. When you port 2k to FHD you are desactivate the most pixels to turn on fullHD.. Poco have the Best battery

@@TechNick You always listen to ur audience, that's why we support you & will keep supporting in future. No RUclipsr performs these type of intensive battery drain/charge, camera, etc tests. You are the most underrated guy, you clearly deserve more subs. I hope you will grow more :)
TechNick, you know what? If only you were nearer to me, like I'll serve you your best dish today. I'm so glad you finally gave us an ear to the 60Hz DRAIN TEST. And we both can agree to how much your fans are appreciating this great work. I told you, man. BIG UPS 👌🙏👍
Hey Nick, you do an excellent job with those tests. The only thing that I find missing is "standby". It is a crucial part of people's smartphone use (basically when you leave your smartphone while you sleep). It also shows a lot about the manufacturer's optimization. I would advise you to leave em 8 hours on standby as a part of the test.
I have the K30 Pro, non-zoom edition. I have ~11 (heavy games) to 14.5 hours (easy tasks, light games) of screen-on time in 2 days usage. Super impressive
Great test man, keep up the good work! I was surprised to see that the K30 Pro is the most efficient (8.4mAh / minute). I actually expected the X50 Pro to be the most efficient because it has the smallest screen (6.44" vs 6.67"). I have noticed that the (screen and) battery sizes increased significantly this year. This is a good year for battery life.
I really love the way this guy gives us a draining test of smartphones very detailed. You can't ask for more everything is on the screen. I wish I have one of those. smartphones 😢
Came to see how many hours of screen on had my K30 Pro Zoom to replace it with a new phone this year. After the video I think I will keep it another year, the phone just flies and battery life is superb. Thanks for the video
that review..this kind of table & testing, for so many phones at the same time..that's professional and unique....such comprehension and efforts, is really appreciated by us viewers. Thanks and wish you 300-500K subs before end of the year.
Very tough competition! We really appreciate it! I can see a lot of work done. Really well done! And these tables which show the life difference between the last time and now are something very unique. Please keep doing such a great videos 👍
Redmi K30 pro zoom edition impressed me very well, my next phone will be this awesome battery life with Snapdragon 865 chipset. Always appreciate your work ❤❤❤
After this maybe we will have Technick benchmark for battery life test after Dxomark for camera,DisplayMate for Display, and Jerryrig for Build quality lol..Keep it up..
@@ConstantUNTILisnt Lmao, both Oppo and Realme have smaller screens(6.55 and 6.44 vs 6.67) PLUS a notch(on the X50 Pro it's huge). So the % of screen turned on,on the K30 Pro is a lot higher than Oppo/Realme.And it still went longer than the others.MIUI's battery optimisation is the best along with Apple's,and that's a fact.
Oh wow you work so hard Nick. You my hero Hoping one day you won't have to buy these phones yourself which is hard for you and that one day you can be given phones to review. I know you will get there. So keep going my boy. Love your momza😘
Damn ... So jealous of you that u have all the 865 phones .. I've been trying to decide on only 1 of these ... Nice test .... Only thing I would change is position of the mi 10 to the right of the redmagic because it is a smaller physical size which i think is more of a consideration for some ppl rather than screen size
Great video and I appreciate that you finally speak slower this time. Watching on my K30 Pro Zoom Edition! Constantly getting 8-9 hours of screen on time a day. Charging is super fast too! Loving the phone so far 👍
Great vid but now you gotta complete the series with 90hz drain test. 👍👍👍 (For the devices that can run 90hz) I wonder where the redmagic would place at 90hz 🤔
Yeap.. Great job, really!!! Logical results, but at the same time some that cannot be understood without a more elaborate discussion! Redmi lost a few minutes at the same frequency, Realme and Oppo had an even weaker SOT, even though the refresh rate was lower, OnePlus proves once again it doesn't know what a good battery means, and Mi 10 Pro exactly the same time, regardless of the refresh rate. Something more needs to be said about this phones for everyone to understand...
Nick...I want to buy a phone out of THESE but I'm really confused which one to buy... Battery, performance, long lasting (ATLEAST 3-4 years) and worth the Money smartphone. Can U suggest me any ???
Did you turn off DSP in the blackshark 3 pro settings? It's an independent image processing chip (pixelworks chip) that smooths fps in videos and games and makes them look better.
The happy Ending to this test this that there really isn't any losers here. All have great battery backup. That's a good sign for the future of smartphones since manufacturers have started giving emphasis to this aspect of the smartphone.
