Thank you very much for this video! It's very informative like all of your videos! Yes, the videos are often veerry long, but to understand that whole process it is necessary to see it in real time it think.
Thanks for the update on the previous video ( I missed this one) and makes it all more clear now. I was just wondering where the other two dials stand for, if the upper grey dials are for the high frequency response, could it be the dials below that are for the lower frequencies? They're on the same position, same components and lay-out for L & R channels, so probably both frequency fine tuning dials. Have you ever tried these?
As far as speed accuracy is concerned you dont need any test tapes, you can use a shop bought prerecorded music tape and beat match it to an identical song running on your pc with a mixer. Dance music is best for this technique as it has dominant bass beats.
sir, i have nakamichi dr 3 secondhand. i don't know if it's been serviced or not before. the problem is whenever i try to record and the rec level balance is on center, the output left channel is always louder, so i need to balance it to the right like 2 bars to make it less loud and balanced. so what is the cause of my problem sir? is it repairable? thank you.

Other two are bias filters to prevent it from going to the record amplifier.

Hi, can I adjust the playback head height using this software ? I have a test tape with 1K tone but don't know how to go about it
You'd better not to touch it. From my experience it is much more precise to set height by the tape edge.
I have this deck and this software but I can't see what you are adjusting on the deck.
My apologies. I should have waited until the end.

Hi there, I would start from the cleaning of the tape path. If this is not a cause - then deck is due for a service/tuning.
@@hifirulezzz do you have the video or reference for the service/tuning process?
@@hifirulezzz thankyou for the reply
What external sound card you have?
The $20 card from Amazon.
Is this Nak software freely available or did you need to buy it?
It is available for $25 only, comparing with hardware device it is more functional
