Hello! Watching from Italy but was born in East Africa and I miss the food soooo much! Very happy to have found your delicious recipes, now I can cook some myself. Thank you xxx
Fabulous !!! I have all your books and it is a great pleasure to read them and to make your recipes with always great success, Thank you These Delicious onion samosas are one of our favorite snacks, and the spices are beautifully showcased in these samosas. really fabulous 😅
We buy samoosa pur (pastry) at our butchers here in Cape Town. The folded samosas are sealed with flour and water paste. My favourite snack is deep fried pur seasoned any way I like. Filo makes so much sense though. They look delicious Chetna.
@@FoodwithChetna I made the roti, it was a huge success. I usually make the dough with hot water, but your recipe is so much more obvious And then your chickpea and potatoes biryani, wow, amazing! only problem - I didn't have chaat masala. Thank you Chetna.
Hi Mam I have recently started seeing your videos … I love your presentation..🥰 I am living in Coventry , England. I guess you are also living in England ..May I know which shop I could buy the samosa pastry from? Can I get it in Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda or Aldi ?
oh my god, I can't believe this! here in Serbia, we use those same (looking) pastry, we call them (pie crusts) and I thought no one but us, and maybe turks used them. as such, they're not available gluten free, so it's been years since I could have one of my favorite foods, burek (turkish I'm sure) w/o feeling like I'm poisoning my self and being self destructive (on top of having celiac, I also have adhd, so no matter what I don, there's always a steady stream of critique of everything I do running in my head, so I have to be on best behavior, so it starts planning my presidential campaign instead of criticizing me). I've even looked up how to make them, thinking, I could make them gluten free, provided it was easy, and I had to look them up in Serbian, cause no one else uses these, right. And the recipe is nightmarish, I can't do that, you need to have huge space, and big table where you could stretch them over and leave them to dry, it's undoable, my entire flat could feet on one of those tables. but, I want to say a week ago, probably longer, I finally run into not only gluten free recipe, but an easy recipe too, no stretching, no nothing. I just need to buy one tool otherwise I would be limited to making them really small, so I haven't tried them yet, and now, after all these years, I see that they are used elsewhere too, and you tell me their name! if I had their name, I might have found the recipe years ago... oh well, still
Im also from cape town . South africa In my experience phyllo pastry loses its crispness very quickly. Well made samosa purr lasts much longer. And phyllo pastry in cape town
@@mariamadams5147 they are in haji Ibrahim crescent. U need to order beforehand so you get it fresh, then it's nice to wrap. And the fried ones also nice n crisp for longer.

Really!!! I'm Cape townian, didnt know. My mom made onion samoosas to sell many years ago n she used to add mince.
so yummmy ❤
What is the name of the fresh chilli that you used in this recipe?
Yummy 😋
Thanks

Nice Video How have you been?

I am living in Coventry , England. I guess you are also living in England ..May I know which shop I could buy the samosa pastry from? Can I get it in Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda or Aldi ?
I think it could be baked too, brushing with melted butter
I adore your videos and recipes! ❤
Can I buy Felo pastry online? If yes please help with the websites.
Can I use spring roll pastry chetna as filo is dry xxx
👍👍👍😋😋😋
😘👍
Another doozy of a recipe! I love that pan - any info on brand and where to buy it?
I've seen them in the shop.
What do you think about cooking them in an air fryer? My stomach can't handle fried foods, but I LOVE Samosas!
Is there a recipe for coriander chutney?
yes, check out the paneer pakora recipe
Hi Chetna, could these be cooked in an Airfryer?
They look amazing,
Of course
😋😋😋💖
Thanks
Is there any other quick and easy ingredients to add to the onions like peas?
Yes absolutely
Add cheese it's delicious, just roll your filling in flour to prevent the cheese from oozing out!
Dear Chetna could I use ghee to cook the onions in, I have a almost empty jar left 😅 in the spirit of zero waist ❤
YES
I love samosas but I can’t handle too spicy. How can I calm it down a bit? Could cumin be added?
Coriander and cumin would be great 👍
Why not. Make it your own.
Don't add the green chili!
Just skip the chilli
Can anyone suggest a brand of gluten free phyllo dough? I don't think I'd be successful with making my own from scratch. Thanks in advance!
so sorry I have no idea
In Punjab samosas are available in almost every street.. No one bothers to make them at home 🤣🤣
In Europe they’re a lot more expensive to buy 😢
Could they be cooked in the oven?
I'm sure they can. Many filo recipes are cooked in the oven. Maybe u could just brush with oil, or spray cooking oil.
@@rianamohamed300 thank u!
@@hunjanamrita only a pleasure
Yes you can, brush with butter
Hello good morning chetna
And you too
If you replace the milk with either water or plant-based milk
these can be vegan.
I wonder how they'll do in the air fryer?
Yes and yes
