  • To increase your breaststroke performance you have to increase your mobility. That means improving the range of motion in your ankles to be able to grab as much water as possible without spreading your legs apart too much.
    You also have to increase your internal hip rotation mobility to be able to rotate your legs outside without spreading the knees apart so much.
    All great breaststrokes have a fast and narrow kick and to achieve that great kick with least drag you have to be able to internally rotate your hips so that you can externally rotate your legs outside while maintaining your knees aligned with the hips.
