don't take this _too_ serious It makes sense though. 1. Release a creature of a species that caused a 300 year long war. Without any having any idea of what it will do now. (keep in mind how fast it can reproduce) 2. Effectively try and make a race extinct (again) over events that happened thousands of years ago. Neither where very thought out well, but one is downright wrong.
You know what funny if you bring Wrex he said you bring her back we just kill them again and also said oh look Shephard there going to sing you a song how cute
Agreed, I chose to spare the queen the first play through and they didn’t like that. So I chose to kill the rachni queen just for them question if I take pleasure of wiping out an entire race.
@@graphagodofallsaiyans1136 yeah, that's the cause that I letted the whole citadel council die in the final mission. I was like "You are not happy with anything that I do? *Then I'm afraid that your free trial of life has expired* "
@Matthew Ackerman Have you played the full trilogy? If you spare her in ME1 she fights alongside you in ME3. The rachni can't threaten the galaxy with their small numbers.
@Matthew Ackerman Play the whole trilogy idiot. If you spare her in ME1 she helps you in ME3. He's right whether you are paragon or renegade Allowing her to live is the best option.
@Matthew Ackerman that's genocide. Paragon or Renegade, that's a morally wrong action especially in the context of Shepard being humans and having human sense of morality. Do yourself a favor and stop defending genocide yeah? Doesn't look good
I let her go the first time. Wanted to kill her the second time. Ended up letting her go again accidentally but left it alone due to my data not transferring from ME 1 to ME 2 on PS3.
It really doesnt beyond a couple lines. They make a big deal about your since you spared her the bad guys have rachni troops in 3, but if you killed her theres just a throw away line about how 'oh they probably just found them somewhere else'. It was pretty disappointing.
@@thetruealpha8156 Theres no reason to kill her other then making a full Renegade Playthrough. Why? Because it is mentioned in ME2 that the Rachni were forced by the Reapers to Attack the other species in the Galaxy in the Past. And now her Children are being corrupted by Saren and Benezia to attack the Humans, as mentioned in the Video. So bottom line, they are good and wont harm anyone.
I just killed the queen for the first time last night, and to echo the comments, Sparatus is a complete pain in the ass. If you spare the queen, he sees it as reckless and foolish. If you kill the queen, he and the council are appalled (Udina will mention that the council has been throwing around the word genocide when you talk to him about it) with Sparatus asking if you enjoy genociding a species. He then has the gall to demand your respect when you treat him with the same tone in response, and Valern weakly just backs him despite his initial outburst. The writers did a very good job making the council out to be spineless and unlikeable, and by ME3 when they finally start treating you with respect you have long stopped expecting to receive it. Also I’ve done some evil things in video games, but holy fuck killing the queen made me feel like a monstrous bastard. lol. Sparatus is actually right when he calls you out, the problem is that he only does it because he personally doesn’t like you, not because he actually thinks and believes in what he says. Again he’s spineless, his values are inconsistent outside of loyalty to the Turian government. It’s a shame it takes him 3 games to actually treat you with a bit of respect and decency. Tevos, the Asari, is the only one of the 3 that’s actually decent. The other two I would happily replace every playthru were it an option. Sparatus is a disrespectful, if not racist ass, and Valern is weak and even more spineless than Sparatus. Tevos though at least tries to treat you fairly and is the one who deigns to reach out to you about virmire. She also will stop the arguing between you and Sparatus for the sake of actually discussing things of import, so unlike Valern she holds you and her fellow council to task on equal measure for the most part.
I was going to save her a d let her live... Until I read something about her effecting a future companion named Grunt and his entire squad of soldiers; and you having to let them all die in order to save the queen from the hive mind or whatever it is that she is attached to, I immediately killed her. She spunded genuine, and I have NO CLUE how the second and third games go (doing a 100% spoiler free run of all three games and I'm loving it). So, yeah... Once I read that she will basically become a problem again in the future and endanger one of my squad mates and his soldiers, it was nighty-night for the queen.
I'm going to be rewriting my Shepard's story soon. I initially spared her cuz paragon but I now realize killing her is more consistent with my Shepard's background and general worldview. So I hope she enjoys an acid bath.
Nope, you can keep the Rachni Queen and Grunt alive at the same time. Just make sure to get Grunt's loyalty on ME2 by doing the Thresher Maw mission. With a loyal Grunt, your decision at ME3 doesn't matter, Grunt will stay alive even if you decide to save the Rachni Queen. Also, stop spoiling yourself and enjoy the trilogy!
