The bird's eye chili, or Thai chili, is a Mexican chili pepper variety from the species Capsicum annuum. It can be found across Southeast Asia and is used extensively in many Asian dishes. There are typically two or three small, tapering fruits at each node of the bird's eye chili plant. The fruits are very pungent. Bird's eye chilies are small, but quite hot. This pepper measures somewhere between 50,000 and 100,000 Scoville units, which is less than a habanero, but many times hotter than the hottest jalapenos.
Here I've grown them in pure organic way without any types of pesticides or fungicides. Each plant produces plenty of chilies in every branches. Like every chili plants, they need direct sunlight daily at least for 4-5 hours. I use only organic fertilizers like vermi-compost tea, bone meal and neem cake powder. Here I use soil-less potting mix with Cocopeat, Vermicompost, Perlite and some fine sand. This perfect potting mix is lightweight, well draining but with good water retention ability. Make sure that the soil should be moist but one should avoid over watering.
