I don't understand... At 2:21 you said tomatoes prefer acidic soil.. Baking soda is a base that will neutralize the acid you said tomatoes prefer..Am I wrong?? Just trying to understand
You are right. Baking soda has no beneficial use for tomato or other vegetable gardening. This is simply a Clickbait AI generated video with nonsensical “advice..“
@@WisGuy4 That's what I was thinking ----- baking soda is high in sodium and too much will kill your plants ---- I think this idea will slowly kill your garden veggies.
If I were concerned with Ph too low I would use a combination of a little iron and a little elemental sulfur diluted . Tomatoes like peppers and potatoes need a slightly lower Ph to achieve ultimate growth. But it doesn't need a Ph as low as blue berries and Rhododendrons do.
@@tonydamiani7353 me too. At least, with reading an article, you can jump to the middle and skip the whole introduction. I don’t need to know the history or why it is important. Just tell me.
It begins when one start their RUclips channel. In order to monetize (Make Money) your channel need 1,000 subs and 4,000 hours of watch time. So they get used to stretching out their video to reach that 4,000 hours. Once they do they've become use to making videos longer than they have to be.
Bad advice for people that have alkaline soil baking soda can also add excess sodium into the soil which does not break down So this video only tells half a story ...fail !
Nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium are chemical elements regardless of the source from which they are obtained. So everything in growing crops is chemical.
I would imagine that some sources of of a plant’s needs are mild and healthy to the environment. Also home remedies might be better for our crops and less expensive.
An extremely helpful and easy-to-understand video! The tips on making trellises for tomato plants and using organic fertilizers really helped my plants grow strong. I will definitely apply these tips to my garden!
I put baking soda around my tomatoes.... someone told me that they would make it sweeter tomato and it certainly did the tomatoes were excellent that year. I did it again this year hopefully it's still the same
Don’t try it, this is bad advice and is simply an AI generated video about a myth designed to be clickbait for views. Do a Google search for “baking soda tomato plants myth“ and you see that this video is absolute nonsense.
This video is waaaay tooooo long. I won’t ever watch one of these videos again. I feel manipulated. And you didn’t even tell us how many plants the liter will water. Shameful.
