I’m so happy I stumbled across your video. I’m 30 going on 31 and I plan on joining the Army soon . I will probably be going to the program myself. I hope you share more updates on your experiences .
@@PFC_ZidorIM 25 and I took the asvab at the recruiting office I passed but now I’m going to MEPS ON TUESDAY TO TAKE MY TESST SO I CAN GET IN THRU THE PROGRAM SALSO BC I SUCK AT TESTING SO NOW IM HAPPY to be making this step
Definitely appreciate you for sharing this brother. I’m 31 and just failed the asvab in that same order, had to retest at meps and didn’t do good. I plan to go back in 30 days and really knock it out.. I honestly didn’t make of my mind about the military until a few weeks ago, hard to keep a job and maintain in the civilian world. I’m glad I came across this because we don’t see enough videos of our age range. Wishing you a successful career and future! 💪🏾🤞🏾
Don’t let it knock you down bro, never accept defeat that’s part of being a soldier. Study, hire a tutor if you got to, you got this soldier. I’ll be making more videos once I recover from my surgery.
Just by making that decision, he’s already excelled. He will do great, be ready to receive the blessings that awaits your family. Life will change for the better.
thank you for this video i am 29 years old and couldn't pass the asvab test neither took few practices test my score was still low so i told myself going back to school teach myself all the basic knowledge all over again. i wish i had this mindset when i was high school because this is my career i want to join the military and i will succeed and pass this dang asvab test
You got this man, I believe theirs also a program in the army where they take you for a month or two and help you study then when you pass they let you choose your job and sign your contract.
I woke thinking the same thing.. I also have a friend in the army. I would like to see more videos and possibly connect with you for advice. Also congrats on the promo!
Congratulations bro, sorry I’m just now seeing this. I’ve been in training, good luck during your time at the 09M and basic. See you once you cross in the real army.
This is crazy Im the same age and Im joining now too! Went through the same move of the PiCat turning into the asvab and asking myself if I really wanted to do this and a month later here I am , swearing into the Army tomorrow so goodluck
Hey man I’m in the process of enlistment, I did my background security check did my asvab and scored a 48, recruiter said that I was pretty much in I just need to get sworn in, the job I’m choosing is electrician for construction or electrical technician for helicopters, I’m studying to retake at the moment, I hadn’t been in school for about 13 years now was genuinely surprised when I passed, there was like 4 other individuals trying to join and can’t get to at least passing witch I believe is 31 or 28 the recruiter mentioned certain jobs can take a 28, but he said since I’m not on that page I should study to get a higher score then I can for sure pick anything
First have a list of jobs that you would like to do, which I’m sure you’ve done already. 48 should clear you for a good amount of options, but don’t settle unless you get the job that you want. New jobs pop up every day, every hour, just stay tapped in with your recruiter because the job you want may pop up without you having to retake the test.
I initially scored a 29 after not being in school for 13 years, went through the ASVAB program through the army boosted my score to a 55 more jobs started opening up for me. You got this bro 💪🏾
@@PFC_Zidor hey great news, I actually retested not long after the comment and got a 76. But was waiting all this time for a dang moral waiver, and it finally got approved a week ago and I signed my contract two days ago, I’m shipping out to ft leonardwood Oct 20th going in as a 91A Abram’s system tech, super excited, I figured I still got some time to get ready for basic, in terms of physique. My wife and kids are super excited, and a bit nervous, but they’ll be headed back to our home state during my basic and AIT to stay with my moms, our lives are about to change for the best! Right after I signed my contract I got a streak of bad luck, our only vehicles water pump went out, I got laid off of my job. Feels like the devil is mad things are gonna go good for us. But God is good!
Happy for you bro I’m going to that program next Tuesday I’m a bit nervous I just wanna pass my ASVAB what is the classes like do they get you right???
One of the best things to happen to the army was the invention of that program. They get you right at school, and teach you the army way. You will be far more equipped going through the program than going straight to boot camp. Take advantage, you got this 💪🏾
Congratulations on your journey bro, just realized you’re probably at the program already. You got this, stay mentally strong, you will come out on top. I can’t wait to hear your success.
Aye bro ! Thank you for this video ! It’s giving me hope going into Future Soldier Prepatory Course - but I got one question : I know we can only have our phones on Sunday for 30 minutes; but can I bring a book with me to the program …like a Bible 🤧
Yes I believe you can, I doubt they will interfere with your religion. I do know that they provide pocket bibles, if you can make sure to check out the services on Sunday. It helps your time there go a lot smoother.
I had the MOS I wanted with my score along with other options but I was disqualified due to my past history prior to the military. I came in with a rap sheet so I had to get vetted first, I plan to reclass
@@007jjj honestly, I’m enjoying the army. Best decision I ever made and the best that anyone can make. Go for it bro, I’d like to know how your visit went with the recruiter.
You’ll be fine bro, I’ve seen foreigners come through with no English end up doing better than the ones with the English. They’re there to help you past, they won’t fail you. The program is the best thing to do in my opinion, I myself went through it. English is my 3rd language, you got this 💪🏾
My advice to you, go through the program. They will simplify the ASVAB for you, study the exact material that they give you, study the vocabulary words and their synonyms, study the math and I promise you that you will do better. Trust me!
Yes sir, if you’re talking about the 09M program that answer is a yes. I passed on my first test, I shipped off to basic a week later. I graduated basic training and I am currently at AIT for advanced training on my MOS I’m set to graduate AIT in 2 weeks.
@@jeffreyfeliz9253 Honestly the 09M program is one of the best that the army has to offer. The opportunity that is given is life changing. You learn so much from there that by the time you graduate from the Future Soldier Program you will be more than equipped for BCT.
