If you were to do this professionally would it be something like working the art department at a game dev company or something? or an advertising agency making tv commercials ? stuff like that? Now that remote work is such an everyday thing you might have broader horizons for finding work.. I myself am full time remote now for an Australian company.

Forgive me if this is incorrect, but when it comes to reverse bevel issue; while your adding the bevel can you not reverse the bevel direction in the edit pane (lower left of screen) before you click apply the bevel?
I just checked now... cant seem to find such an option, but you're probably right... I'm sure there are a bunch of different ways to achieve that... 👍🏻
