Ben Okri writes magical, paradoxical, playful and philosophical things. Novels, poems, essays, stokus, short stories, plays, aphorisms, provocations, meditations. Some of the titles of his books are: ' The Age of Magic', 'Astonishing the gods', 'Tales of Freedom', 'Wild', 'The Famished Road' and 'A Time for New Dreams'. He won the Booker Prize for Fiction in 1991. He loves walking.

Love and intrigued by the basic idea, but there seem to me some weirdly vacuous lines and turns here... E.g. 'One of the reasons people were so surprised by Brexit was that it was so unexpected.' Did he maybe just say the wrong word there? Am I missing something?
