@@juliosmith You've got to do that. I had one along with a 9200 poweramp by Marshall, but I got rid of it. Kinda regret it now. If I could get the 2100SEL, which is basically the Head version of the 2000CPL I'd be extatic. They sound really great (Gallien Krueger amps) for being solid state.
Who would have thought that the most beautiful guitar tone ever recorded came from a solid-state preamp. The 2000CPL has the best, throatiest mids and low mids I've ever heard from an amp. The low end on the palm mute on "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son," right before the quiet part, is heavy as f**k.

I'm curious if it can do heavier stuff well when boosted (by that I mean scooped death metal tones, since solid state amps are renowned for them).
