Mark higgins is the one behind the wheel in this one, clarkson isn’t doing any real driving here. They always did it that way Clarkson/may/Hammond did the talking and some of the easy driving shots. Everything else was done by precision drivers.
@@mpn304 They definitely did some serious driving. The 24 hour racing challenge required all drivers names to be entered. It’s Clarkson, Hammond, May, and some Ben Collins guy. Hammond crashes enough for it to be pretty obvious he drives a lot.

It takes time and coordination to do it, so it’s better to spare the host if possible. I don’t consider races like the 24H for difficult, because they don’t need to be good they just need to survive:) Most people with driver experience could do that.
The amount of jokes in this video is INSANE - The fake footwork, fake engine sounds, fake sound effects, unconnected shots, repeating certain types of edits over and over, the driver making stupid faces, the car and the surroundings showing damage from the outtakes, the car carrying dozens of GoPros... PS: Was the very obvious air explosion underneath the car to force it into a rollover (4:36) also a parody?

Anyone can be a race driver. Not just the ones having a cult around them (toyota ae86, etc...)
