Another thing I appreciate about you, Cheryl-you actually say "spaghetti bolognese". I don't know why, but hearing the English talk about "spag bol" always sounds so unappealing to me.

Hi Cheryl 👋, sorry I’m late again - all meals looked utterly delicious as always & must say your salads always look so appealing. Have never tried the Harry Ramsden chips before, must give them a go, they certainly had more of a homemade look about them than the usual frozen chips. I’d love to hear what you think of the SW jerk chicken, was just looking at that online earlier today, think it might be a relatively new addition to their range. The SW meals can be quite expensive, but they’re on offer atm 3 for £10, so might treat myself! Take care & hope you have a great week. xx 👩🏻🍳🍲👌💕💞💖
I never understand why the shopping hauls aren't getting as many views! I love watching them and then seeing the bits pop up during meals of the week. It's like a two part video. :)

As a Lancashire lad, I used to call the evening meal "tea," but after working in a hotel, that changed. In The Royal Kings Arms Hotel, we served breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and since then, that's what I've call them!
On Sunday, I had an Aldi Steak Slice, with Potatoes and Beans.
And here it is... my inspiration for the week's menu. A smashing variety as usual👍👍

Cheryl, I always enjoy your Meals of the Week. I missed watching it yesterday but made sure I saw it early this morning. I also saw your shopping on Saturday and the Lime Diet Coke you found made me look for it here in the States. They don't sell it at any of my local shops so I bought some Diet Coke and a lime to add the flavor. I haven't had that in years either and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Thank you for sharing your shopping and your meals. I love watching and getting new ideas! Have a wonderful week.☺️
Here we make two tuna fish meals for hot weather(and here it often gets very hot) the first meal is tuna mixed with boiled veg(carrots, potatoes, peas and string beans and boiled eggs) , mixed with Mayo, this is then placed in the fridge and eaten cold, chopped all the veg and eggs very finely. The other meal is flaked tuna and chopped prawns mixed with Mayo, black pepper, dash of ketchup and squeeze of lemon and again black pepper, again stick it in the fridge and eat with any kind of salad that you wish.
Hi Cheryl. As always love to watch your meals of the week and grocery shop. In the US your chicken stew is very similar to what we’d put in a chicken pot pie although I’ve made mine with mash potatoes on top as I don’t usually have pastry on hand. Such a comforting dish. 🏴🇺🇸
I always buy harry ramsden frozen chips!I think they are the best,great cooked in the air fryer.❤❤❤

They looked lovely and your meal presentation is great as my late Mum used to just bung it on the plate. lol I`ve also treated myself to an Air fryer and love it as it`s much quicker and cheaper to run than the oven. I`m having a taste of Scotland tonight as I`m having Grants tinned Haggis for my tea. 🙂

Lovely seeing the seasonal change with your meals. All looks lovely again,
all the meals look so good! Have you ever tried tuna salad? It is my favorite thing to do with tuna. I make it with diced onion, celery, hard boiled egg, pickle relish, mayo & salt & pepper. serve in a sandwich with the bread toasted and add lettuce. 😋
I've never tried tuna like that Jean...but I'll certainly give it a go ☺ would be amazing in a sandwich I imagine x
I enjoy your shopping videos. Living in the US, we don't have some of the stores that are available in the UK and I've noticed you all have different names for some things than we do.
I occasionally have baked macaroni and cheese and then mix in a drained can of tuna. With a vegetable on the side.
Oh, thank goodness for the baked beans again! I read some time ago that the UK had a huge shortage of baked beans, so I asked my sister if I should send her some from Australia! She assured me she was OK but when you stopped having them so regularly, I started to worry again!! Just a total worry-wort, that's me!
I`m U.K but haven`t heard of any Baked Bean shortage only Toilet Rolls when some people went daft during the Pandemic .lol

@@jillybean5159 lol, I`m just over an hours drive from London and the only time we`ve had any shortages in this country are when the Government announces on the News that there are no shortages which causes everybody to panic buy . The only two I know of were Petrol and Toilet rolls. Defo not heard about Baked beans but if it were mentioned on the News the shelves would be cleared . lol

Last week, I went to a market with good deli, and splurged on some pre-prepared salads. So for two meals, I had low salt ham on their awesome spinach bagels, with side of potato salad with egg and a bit of veggie pasta salad. Wonder what put that bug in my ear .....?

Have you ever tried making your own beans? Like instead of from a tin like smooth tomato sauce and haricot beans, or have you ever tried making Channel Island beans? I think they can be slow cooked or oven cooked without needing the hob
I've never tried...I've seen other people do it though ☺
I once made Boston’s baked beans took all day to cook them and they just tasted like tinned beans not worth the effort lol x
There's a recipe for simple haricot beans in a tomato sauce in Mrs Beeton from Victorian times. Apparently haricot beans got named after Haricot a traditional stew. Channel Island beans are known both as Guernsey bean jar and Jersey bean crock, a modern recipe is like beef shin or trotter and stock veg and beans, supposedly got cooked slow and eaten for brekky.
Hello Cheryl, I enjoy seeing what groceries you buy because I look for them in our Aldi in Florida. Oh my that steak pie looked overly delicious.
I don’t understand the people who don’t watch the grocery haul. It turns into the meals for this week or next, so it’s interesting to see how you’ve handled them.
Grocery hauls bore me. I know what groceries look like. Nothing she prepares is perplexing. I can figure out what products she would have purchased in order to prepare the meals.

Hi Cheryl, it’s only me Louise - hope you’ve had a really good week and are keeping well - unfortunately I saw the multiple sclerosis nurse last week and the multiple sclerosis has advanced even further - I’m seeing the consultants from hospice next week as I’m under their care for pain management. I’m hoping they will be able to do something - really looking forward to watching your Vlog/video - have a lovely week sending loads of love and loads of hugs always.~ Xxx Xxx

Hi Cheryl, I watch your show with interest from Canada. Curious as to how you cook your chips? I am having trouble finding regular Chips that I can cook in a fryer without hydrogenated oil on the chips. Wondered if you have the same issue?
