I just how this actually seems like a realistic conversation, you know even thought they're signing and and stuff, they're not dancing, they're not talking about feeling or with metaphors, this could be and actual conversation between two people, it just feels so natural. that's without talking about how you can hear the acho from the empty apartment, which makes it more real.
I can't believe I missed the chance to willingly not see this movie. Felt like something I can never take back. The little pause when Melissa's Vanessa tries to find the words before "You Ought to stay". Then when you can finally see her slowly break down, trying to hold back the tears and frustration after that. She can't find the words at first, but she is BEGGING him not to go. This scene and song made me cry buckets, Jesus.

(besides the long pause between the you oughta stay) but now that I’ve listened to it so many times and came back here, I can hear the differences so MUCH! they’re both amazing but I’m trying to say that it’s crazy since I couldn’t even disguinish the differences between the two and I think it’s funny that I finally found the small differences after listening to the sound track on repeat

I completely identified with him. I see myself so worried over stupid stuff while the real stuff is right in front of me. He is just focus on one thing that he doesn't perceive the situation around it. Maybe it is a reach, but I see him as a real goal-oriented person (or maybe I'm just seeing this because I'm that way). Same way as in the club. He gets so hyped like "I gotta dance, I gotta get drunk" that he forgets that the whole point was to spend time with Vanessa. She gets mad at him at the end because they didn't spend time together while, in his head, he was just doing what he was supposed to do. I get this time it comes to a ridiculous point where the audience is just screaming at him to let it go and seize the moment for once. It is a really cool and sweet scene. Usnavi is great, but he is not the brighest cookie when it comes to flirting. I love how he is completely oblivious in this scene!
