Simple because rare has continuously failed to patch the exploits since the games release. Might as well be a feature at this point. Crud launching via map spam got patched and within an hour of that patch people immediately found out how to do it with a fishing rod. If rare wasn't completely incompetent and the community had more than 1 functional braincell and ran from 9/10 player encounters for 3+ hours people like me would be less inclined to ladder glitch to anchor and kill them.
it is still exploiting and if someone is new to the game and they dont know how to fight so they run away they are just fucked and all the loot they possibly collected for hours would just be gone

I think it’s seriously overlooked that they were mod software for Minecraft. Minecraft lets you cheat and use mods freely in their game. Saying promoting cheating software isn’t just straight up a bad thing. Games like DRG, Minecraft, Fallout, Skyrim, Doom, even GTA outside of public servers allow players to get cheat software to download mod with no repercussions

When you compare it to the state of the game today There's a single player world for newer or pirates who just have no sense of pride whatsoever, called safer seas, where you can't be attacked by any other players The majority of high level players who want to do pvp, are using the hourglass. It's extremely rare to find people. Just rolling up on ships on islands doing random quests The only events or necessary items would be world events. And why would you even want a world event to be easier in the first place The whole reason no one does forts anymore. It's because it's so easy it's boring and you're never going to see any other players attacking you there, to make it harder

Theyre in the game, every single person who loads up Sot can do them for free. They don’t need a third party program. Rare should maybe patch these exploits. I mean technically sword lunging is an exploit. It’s fun tho and I bet you do it constantly with your little cutlass.
His video's were funny and entertaining, especially his vs alliances video's, but he really does go out of his way to piss people off and god forbid your doing a fort with Theb in the server 😂

Because Theb basically exposed Rare’s hypocrisy, and scrubbing him removes any evidence that could implicate them in a lawsuit. They would rather ban and silence than actually fix their game.

dude he was 15 whan that happend, and 120 FOV wasnt being banned at the time, it was considered meta like quickswapping. The only thing he really did wrong was stream snipe a creator which should be punished but i don't think a ban for life is a fair punishment
A similar situation to this just recently happened with a content creator named Theb. You had his entire channel and livelihood. It’s very sad that RUclips probably won’t take action on the issue and fix their problem with the way the strike system works.
He was banned because clearly he deserved it. He makes money from SoT, he griefs, he exploits, the fact he was given multiple warnings and yellow beards and he didn’t decide to play differently.. Now that you know you’re avoiding a ban Rare just might sue you for exploiting them and profiting. SoT is better without streamers anyways.
Zero yellowbeards get better education in the situation. Griefing in a pirate game isnt against the rules exploiting isnt against the rules CHEATING is though. The worst cheat (and only cheat) he used was FOV changer, which #1 doesn't do much, and #2 did after the original ban. Also Rare themselves said that exploits aren't a bannable offense, just that players shouldn't get comfortable using them as they are working on patching each exploit. So you're basically saying "Oh wahh wahh he promotes exploits that are okay to use wahh"

Actually the youtube copyright strikes were used like normal on his channel, as for twitch that had nothing to do with it, but actually it was just the cheating and ban evading that justified that one.

ok so im gonna be blunt here copyrights are used in franchises to protect rights assets and ownership of things created by the company , when you buy s.o.t. or any live service game you are techically buying a physical copy but rather a licence to play the game ( a subcription) and just like a drivers licence it can be revoked if rules are breached ( i.e. youtube twitch and rare terms of service) same works with youtube and twitch.

A similar situation to this just recently happened with a content creator named Theb. You had his entire channel and livelihood. It’s very sad that RUclips probably won’t take action on the issue and fix their problem with the way the strike system works.

He was banned because clearly he deserved it. He makes money from SoT, he griefs, he exploits, the fact he was given multiple warnings and yellow beards and he didn’t decide to play differently.. Now that you know you’re avoiding a ban Rare just might sue you for exploiting them and profiting. SoT is better without streamers anyways.
Zero yellowbeards get better education in the situation. Griefing in a pirate game isnt against the rules exploiting isnt against the rules CHEATING is though. Theres a HUGE difference between the two in sot. And ban evasion trying to play a game you payed for and dedicating hundreds of hours too is crazy. Theres a reason companies that arent far left or far right dont do that. The punishment is your progress not your right to play the game. Not to mention the reason to his ban without yellowbeards may i remind you, was so ridiculously unjustified it’s actually insane. Rare refuses to provide evidence of there accusations while theb on the other hand has multiple popular content creators on his side, the larger part of the community on his side for presenting his case, admitting his few faults, and defending himself. Which he did perfectly. If it provides some solace, rare stopped banning him because of the backlash.

The worst cheat (and only cheat) he used was FOV changer, which #1 doesn't do much, and #2 did after the original ban.
Also Rare themselves said that exploits aren't a bannable offense, just that players shouldn't get comfortable using them as they are working on patching each exploit. So you're basically saying "Oh wahh wahh he promotes exploits that are okay to use wahh"

He even says so himself and understand why that's the initial ban reason. The stream sniping was also admitted and he apologized, he just loved watching his opponent rage against him. Which also added towards the toxic behaviour reason, tho that part he disagreed with, and I do too.

ok so im gonna be blunt here copyrights are used in franchises to protect rights assets and ownership of things created by the company , when you buy s.o.t. or any live service game you are techically buying a physical copy but rather a licence to play the game ( a subcription) and just like a drivers licence it can be revoked if rules are breached ( i.e. youtube twitch and rare terms of service) same works with youtube and twitch.
