I know what you mean. I am not any kind of criminal but I am one of those people who are very unlucky. All my life I've been convinced I would die in an unjust execution. It would be my kind of luck. I tend to identify with condemned prisoners for that reason.

I have a question, if that prisoner was having a cardiac arrest while sitting on the electrical chair a minute before his execution would they give him a CPR?
that’s a really interesting question... my guess is cpr because they have the way each prisoner will go planned out multiple days beforehand, and if they die of natural causes, then it wouldn’t be accurate? idk it’s a weird concept

The electric chair is so rare it’s never used. And during lethal injections one of the side effects of the drugs is literally cardiac arrest. So no they will not revive you.

It's hard to imagine how it feels at that time. Your innocent parents looking at you and you know you are Going to die. I don't know y but death penalty is something which breaks me up. I really don't know why but war feels better since it involves a lot of people perishing and not a single person. Moreover you die with respect if you are a soldier and your parents and loved ones don't have to stare you helplessly.
Death is bad. Wars are horrible too because it can ruin the potential of great men who have a great future ahead of them and they just end up dying pointlessly. Let's be happy we aren't in these situations
I’m probably too soft, but I don’t support the death penalty. Except for on child abusers- child abusers deserve death. However, your comment reminded me of a quote, “the number of murders in this world does not change when a murderer gets killed.”
It’s hard to feel bad when you think instead of the families of the victims the person on death row killed though, at least they’re afforded the luxury to say goodbye to their loved ones whereas the people they killed likely didn’t
My stance on the death penalty is neutral but I don’t feel sorry at all for murderers on death row

i truly can't imagine how awful it would be in the time before the execution- the rethinking your whole life, even the walk up to it in the last minutes- even though I know people who have done horrible things are the ones who get the death punishment I still genuinely can't feel anything but empathy fir them

And they don’t care about that. That just watch you die. I know that the death penalty doesn’t happen that much, but it’s so horrible. The whole prison system is horrible, and it doesn’t matter if you’re guilty or innocent, no one should have to go through that.

Imagine being the chef that cooks for death row inmates and then coming home at the end of each day with different stories to tell but always the same ending (unless they were excused)
No matter your situation or end destination; institutions, jail and prison are the hardest places to cope with in the U.S., especially psychologically. Handcuffs are tolerable but full-body chains in civil cases make you really think about how America handles this kind of thing. They transport people in any situation like prisoners or animals and the ethical questions are everywhere...
