    Great video.. I’m a BCO in heavy haul. Your E-Log time zone is based on your licensed state and not because of corporate being in Jacksonville. Also the GPS is like $6-$7 a month. Not $30... again nice video BCO!! Stay safe sir!

    GReat video. I’ve used Qualcomm, cell phone ELD logs and now the company I drive with they use Samsara. This was very interesting. I also want to thank you for putting this video out without the reverse video view (if that’s what it’s called). My OCD kicks in when I see the steering wheel on the passenger side!

      Thanks for the comment! My wife used a different camera on this video, but I think we found a setting to invert my phone camera, so hopefully that will fix future videos!

    Hey Ryan, I love your videos because they are about teaching and training which is very important. Anyway I just completed my orientation in Mesa Arizona and I thought I would let everybody know the pricing of the Omnitracs is now $625. You can add to that two different scale bypass which you can choose. Drivewyze is $8.81 or pre-pass is $11.00 Per month also you can add the navigation which I did just to try it out it’s offered through
    Copilot The price on that I’m not exactly sure I believe it’s between $6.00 - $8.00 Per month but you can cancel at any time I do have a navigation but it’s always good to have a back up and see which one works better. Anyway I hope this helps other viewers.

    I'm in the process of getting on with Landstar. I was told new IVGs are running $950, used (if available) around the $625 price point. I was also told KeepTrucking is an option around the $300 price point.

      Thanks for the comment. Yea, getting your first trailer is a hassle, but after the first time you really don't have to deal with it again, thankfully!

    This is the only video of a Landstar BCO I've seen to create an ELD video. Thanks for creating this content, very useful. Does your ELD allow yard move?

    • @truckingandfixing
      @truckingandfixing  3 года назад +2

      No yard move at Landstar unfortunately, we had that feature at Mercer though. We have PC only, and you can run that for up to 2 hours a day for qualifying situations. Thanks for the comment and compliments!

    Are you able to play around with the HOS settings at Landstar, or do they bake it in? Like switching it from drive line at 5 mph to drive line at 30mph?

  • @shelsierodriguez3616

    Hey Ryan...question...do you use the Msjs feature to send your Freight information (freight tracking, BOL, ect) or where on it you sent that information to Landstar? We don’t know if we have to send them in a MSJ or where on the Qualcom?

    • @truckingandfixing
      @truckingandfixing  4 года назад

      I use the landstar connect app for load tracking and also submitt my bol's through that app as well for payment. I only use the omitracs ivg as a log and for my post trip inspections. I am not sure what you mean by MSJ, can you elaborate?

    • @shelsierodriguez3616
      @shelsierodriguez3616 3 года назад

      Road-Field-Home with Ryan & Sophia so you don’t use Transflow to submit your BOLs? My husband had a lease purchase at his last job and they requested that he sent them his “Macros” every day on his “omnitrac” messaging sistem.

    My question is. Week one you work eight hour days. So week two you run on recap hours. If you can make it a third week can you still run on recap hours?

  • @StickNclutch
    @StickNclutch 3 года назад

    So you can't work over 8 hours to be able to run recaps after 8th days correct??

    • @truckingandfixing
      @truckingandfixing  3 года назад

      Average 8.75 per day, you should be okay. It really depends on how much time you get back.

    I HATE HATE HATE omnitracs. It's insanely slow and buggy. The only good part is that it's not tamper proof if installed incorrectly, and that's how it always should be.
