I think this is the exact scene that saves Derek Shephard's life a few episodes later during the shooting. Cristina is completely alone with a gun to her head and only Jackson for assistance. No teachers. No mentors. No backup plans. Teddy was the best teacher Grey's ever had. She created and molded a warrior.
i beg to differ. her method of teaching is definitely different but it's working. can you imagine christina one day becomes a surgeon, in the OR herself with no mentor and have to face complicated situations, eventually she have to do it herself which is why Teddy did what she did. Both ladies are awesome!
@Mrsteddyz it's not about the love triangle... she didn't do it because Owen loves Cristina not her, it's just her way to teach and it's working. Cristina needs that. But I agree I wouldn't want to be lying on that table when she's teaching xD and Alex's line is sooo funny. -How's it going? -Yang's killing her patient and Altman's reading the Atlantic Monthly" :D
Right now, Teddy was no better than Hahn as a teacher. She was going to let her fail, maybe even kill the patient, just so Cristina would fail on every scale possible. Kill the patient, leave the OR broken, quit the hospital, lose all trust in her abilities, leave Owen, and fade away; leaving Teddy free to move in on Owen as the prize.
Teddy never once attempted to sabotage the relationship with Owen and Cristina. She’s an army surgeon, she had to operate in immense pressure and she’s trying and succeeding to give Cristina to the same training. Later this season Cristina is able to operate on Shepard with a gun to her head and it’s because of Teddy.
Hahn was mean to Yang for no reason. Erica didn't let her train in the OR, didn't allow her on her service either, and didn't teach her. All she did was treat her badly because she thought Yang smashed her way to the top.

Best for maybe Christina. I feel like Hunt was great with April and Arizona was amazing with Karev.
Teddy is definetely the best mentor

Totally agree, you could see how relieved Teddy was when Cristina made a decision.
Teddy is the definition of good tough love
The acting is so on point 👌

LOVE how Cristina's yelling at him, although he tries to help her, and Owen afterwards never been angry or insulted. Man, this man is patient!
FineDoneTakeHim well she was polite
Teddy is the best mentor, I love her
Teddy is my Favorite Character
I love Alex! :D
and Teddy is amazing
I would not want to be the one on the table, when a love triangle is going on in the o r
@blalako Turns out you are right. And it's worked.

that's bullshit. Teddy was never like that... that's just the way she teaches, it had nothing to do with Owen... it wasn't a revenge or something
WOW, how wrong you were! Best teacher Cristina ever had.
She knew cristina can do it so she did this

I just took the scene at face value and all I could see was Teddy trying to get rid of the competition for Owen. But that really is just me.
