Thanks for the video. I have an 04 Hummer H2, the a/c blows cold but when I turn off the a/c or try to adjust it to a warmer temperature it stays cold. I have replaced the blend door actuator under the dash, performed the recalibration procedure several times, but still nothing but cold air. Heater core hoses are both warm/hot so it's not clogged. The system moves air properly via the appropriate selections (defrost/floor/vents/etc.) Help please!
@@Yohannson my mechanic had to figure it out because I was done trying, it was some clogged tube in the engine bay, but it was a weird aftermarket part that wasn't for my H2, so I don't think you'll have this same problem. My mechanic removed the part and fixed the issue. Good luck.
There is a blend door under the dash (middle one) that blends cold and hot air, but then there is a mode door (which this video refers to), which closes and opens the vents. I also replaced the blend door without any effect, so now I will work on the mode door.
will this fix the problem on a 2004 H2 where the a/c and heat are ONLY coming thru defroster, nothing coming thru vents or to the floor,, please help, a mechanic said he would have to take whole dash off, he said something was jammed up with leaf's , pine needles, etc, like from animal,
So for the Top bolt on the drivers side get a ONE piece 5/16 or 8mm bit that fits on your Nut Driver. Cut it off leaving only about 1/8 inch on the hex end. Slap a wrench on that baby and you are golden. Especially if you have a 1/4' Ratchet Wrench
i took our 2004 H2 to mechanic to put a fuel pump in the gas tank and when i got it back the dash lights wont dim, the mirrors acted screwy, but worse of all the A/C started blowing thru the defroster ONLY, when i popped the hood, i saw a 15 amp blown fuse setting on the battery,???? whered that come from???, so i called mechanic and asked and he said they probably checked a fuse to make sure it wasnt a fuse causing the {getting no gas } problem,,,why the blown 15 amp was setting on the battery,? who knows, anyways i did the whole recalabrate thing, and still only blows thru the defroster, and whats weird too is, the little defroster light WONT GO OFF, its lit up, but is this coincidence ? was it just time for the blender door to screw up, same with dash light dimmer and mirrors? i did ask them if the unhooked battery when they put in fuel pump, they said yes, so any ideas? ima female and dang sure no mechanic, and seems like everytime i take the vehicles to be fixed, its something else, n some thing else and on and on,,,,
Thank you for making your video, saved me time very helpful.

@@FUMan661 one other person said the same thing and black sludge came out. Fortunate for me a recalibration solved it.

My heat and ac work but it won’t blow heat or ac to the floor on either side so which one do I need to replace to get it to blow on the floor ?

service note it is recommended to remove one square of column bracket to access the 8 mm hex screw
