Early 2024 and here I am with the same issue. Juan, I followed this exact pattern without incident. For anyone trying this, the 8mm wrench from Hart, sold at walmart, will fit perfectly on the screws. I had to cut my wrench in half to get room for rotation, but as long as you go straight up and down as Juan shows, no problem.
I can't thank you enough for this video. My 2003 Hummer H2 passenger side started blowing hot air. Without this video I wouldn't have been able to do it! Did everything you said. I also subscribed to your channel! Thank you so very much!!
Awesome video bro, THANK YOU for posting. My 05 hummer h2 was stuck on heat on passenger side. Watched your video several times and went at it. One tip that work for me; due to having large hands, I filed down the wrench then cut it in half to create more turn room. Worked perfectly!!! Thx again Juan!
@@juandegollado7808 hey im about to do it the mechanic said it will be $1200. But only the needle. On the temo guage is moving. A lil cold side meaning left it does not sound right
Thank you, followed your instructions and got it done. I grinded down the wrench as you instructed and was able to turn from the back side of the big air tubing only thing is I also cut a piece of the back end of the wrench to allow me to turn the wrench with no obstructions. Thanks again
I am glad I discovered this video super informative and right to the point. My 03 was blowing hot air on thse driver side. I'm going to tackle it sooner than later due to it being at the bottom glove box near the right of the center console.😊 Thanks A Ton!
Mrbigboi60 yes i disconected the battery before i started the work . So when you finish all you have to do is connect the battery powered it up. put it on auto and and it calibrate it s self
I have found one blended acuator under the dash next to the center console in this the same or i need to take the whole dash to remove the acuator for my passenger side
I also need to pull my climate control module out to have it refurbished because the knobs aren't working properly. Do you know if pulling the center cover off by just removing the 2 bolts gives enough room to pull the module out? Or do I need to take the entire center console out to get to it? I have to do this in addition to replacing the passenger side actuator.
Hummer Boy I think you’re going to have to pull the center console. When you pull the bolts it will only give you enough room for the top pieces. I have never remove the center part
What year is your Hummer? I took everything apart as you showed but the air duct is directly in the way. I can't see any way of getting to the actuator without sawing the duct and then repairing it afterwards. Any idea?
Hummer Boy You cannot see it the air ducting is in the way. You were just gonna have to reach around that’s why I told you to grind down that little wrenchThat is the only way to get to it. It can be done it’s a tight fit.
@@juandegollado7808 YOU ARE A GOOD MAN! I got this replaced today using your suggestion of filing down an 8mm wrench. I disconnected the tubing vent in the back (that goes to the door) and was able to get enough room to fit my hand back there.
Im sorry but. It’s been a while and I don’t remember. Look on the Hummer forums im sure its on there as they go out all the time. Sorry wish I could help ya
On my H2 2004, I have reverse problem. That is there is hot air blowing on Driver side only, irrespective of any set temperature. Then no hot air coming out of passenger side there is no heat, even when temp on that side is at 90. Not sure if my actuator calibration is at fault or the actuators themselves. I tried removing fuses and restart with the hope to recalibrate but no change. Any suggestions and should I start with changing driver side actuator? If so do you know where it is located?
Sam Sen Sorry I wish I could tell you. I do not know where the one on the driver side is. I have not had to replace it yet. I am sure you will probably have to remove the dash anyways.
@@juandegollado7808 Thanks a lot for the rapid reply. Yes I guess there is no easy way around it and wish the manufactures would think about their after sale and ease of repair. Anyways will try to see how far I can push it forward in my car. BTW I found these three other clips also useful, first one to calibrate the actuator that is without much mechanical work. I did it and unfortunately my problem was not that, so I am now pretty sure I have a bad wheel or motor in my actuator (Similar to yours) that is unable to move the valves. I had the exact same problem. I had heat on the drivers side but no heat on the passenger side. I replaced the actuator he described in this video and now it is working properly again.
Hi again, after my first message I did some more digging to see if I could get the actuator to move and make sure it's not broken before paying $100 for a new one. I found this video ruclips.net/video/vWBGKfl7k24/видео.html . I got it reset, tomorrow I'm going to reinstall it and see what happens. Mine started blowing hot air on the passenger side after having issues with a power drain. Have to keep charging the battery. That's still ongoing. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow with the actuator. Thanks again!
Sorry, I have not done one of those. I would assumed this just like fixing the one I posted. It probably will be easier since they say the hot and cold is the hardest.
John wish I could help you man I haven’t had that problem yet so I haven’t tackled it. My suggestion is to just Google it. Somebody has had that problem.

I can't line up the new blend door, or even when trying the old blendor. Is there a trick to it? I've been trying on and off all day..
Sorry just saw this. I had no issues with mine. Once you turn it on it will adjust itself after you connect the battery

Stait to the point very clear and concise instructions. Thanks so much for videoing this you helped me and a lot of others !!
What position does the actuator door need to be in when you install the new actuator?
I just put it in. When you start the truck it will go to its default spot. Its been a while since I did this, but pretty sure.
I looked up on of my old replies. Disconnect your battery and then connect it again put your settings on auto and it will calibrate itself
