6:53 I don't get why people are so bothered by Chinese cars not having spare parts. We all know China makes almost everything under the sun right? I mean, you can even find spare parts for a "Siemens C25" from China and that is not even a well known brand of old phone. The issue here is not Chinese cars having spare parts but how the Chinese car franchisees in the Philippines would stock those parts. For people to know: - HARI/CMPI for Changan - SGAP for Geely - UAAGI for Chery & Foton - AC Motors for Maxus - TCCCI for MG - TAC for JAC - Astara Philippines for GAC - Bayan Auto for BAIC - Solar Transport and Automotive Resources Corp for BYD

I've given up waiting for the 2023 Ford Everest 4x4. Made a reservation in Sep last year, placed my bank PO in October and so many months later, still no available unit. This is because of the priority the dealerships give to in house financing. Some will make a unit available for you as long as you are willing to shell out more dough. Even saw a post from one dealership about an impending price increase in March? Wow, talaga lang ha? So after seeing Mr. Joo had so much fun driving the Tiggo 2.0T AWD (which he claimed can keep up wt a Porsche😊), and after lot of research online, I took the plunge and placed an order. Its not easy to discount the 254hp/390Nm of torque in a 1.7 ton vehicle at a price below 2M. Will it last long just like my Civic SiR? Only time will tell. At least the warranty on offer can't be beat, not to mention the features the car has.
With the demand for EV/ hybrid cars increasing more Chinese cars will be coming to our shores. For the past 4 yrs in the Philippine market Chinese automakers have proven they can provide quality cars, examples are zs t, cool ray, tiggo and etc. Reliability and parts availability will be the biggest hurdle they need to overcome, in due time I believe this will improve. This is good news for Filipino consumers in the long run. Great Collab Reygan and Joo. Dude pare. Let's do this 👍😁🤟

It is no longer a question of quality but after sales service and parts. I have read owner stories about Geely vehicles in which couldn't be used for months just because of a relay that isn't available. A relay. Another one was for a Changan CS35. A hose of some sort. Not available for months. China may produce anything you can think of but is it readily available HERE? Are the companies handling these brands ready to import the part that you need as swift as Toyota, Mitsubishi or Honda does? I am not saying this to create hate but the way you deliver it in this video is just a bit condescending as if consumer opinion and caution is invalid and a laughing matter. It is ironic and you are right about that. It is not about your opinion but the way you deliver it guys. I have been pondering on the GAC GS4 as my next vehicle as it is clearly an awesome one but the caution remains the same.
Its unfair to directly compare lets say toyota to any chinese brands in terms of parts availability. Kahit ikaw mismo halimbawa e may TALYER/Autoshop ka e mag sstock ka ba ng geely parts (slow moving parts yan for sure) unlike Toyota parts na fast moving kasi marami na sa pinas na ganyang sasakyan at marami pa rin nabili at marami ginagamit as taxi/PUV. Syempre matagal sa chinese brands as almost all parts e sa casa mo pa lang makukuha at no choice kasi kahit maghanap ka sa banawe e order basis din karamihan ng parts. Although i must admit na PARTS shouldnt take that long to order, Kahit nga sa Lazada/shopee e kaya namang less than 1 month ang mga overseas purchase.
Yes. I saw that video. 5 or 6 people had their Geely in the repair shop for 6 months or more, but many others had no parts for 2 or 3 months. After a few years most Chinese cars fall apart
@@robmorcette4894 90% of those issues are mostly from collision and are never mechanical issues. Ofc you wouldn't drive your car if the side mirror is totally wrecked for example. It is not an unfair comparison because Toyota and those I have mentioned addressed this concern and they worked hard to make it happen. It is a competition. These Chinese brands made a very excellent improvement on quality over the years and I am hoping that they would be able to address the parts concern as well. Part ng whole decision making process ng isang consumer yung ease of parts and service in the long run and what will be unfair is to take it against established Japanese and Korean brands just because they are good at aftersales service. The Geely Coolray opened up the minds of many Filipinos on at least giving Chinese cars a chance, and you see it, tons of Chinese cars are on the road and you've got Chinese brands flooding over to the PH market. Now as far as reliability? Well really depends on who you ask. Pinoys in general will probably need 10 years for them to be convinced (and that their right, they should keep their standars high). And naturally, those who simply do not want a Chinese car will make all the claims that this and that, and it's a fruitless effort to change their minds. I got my coolray about 14 months ago and I still am waiting for the day that Geely and other chinese brands get the respect they deserve. So are chinese reliable? Yes, the huge chinese car market says that, so does your Iphone and every gadget you've probably owned. Is it as good as Japan? No. At least not yet. The bottom line is, just like what I said on my CS-35 review, chinese brands are changing the landscape of the PH car market (be it good or bad) and they are here to stay. So my suggestion? Keep an open mind, if its just time that changes your mind towards chinese brands, no problem, that's an easy ask. If your own the fence, ask other people, do your research. And if you already bought a chinese car, I'll be seeing you in 5 years and lets talk. That'll be either on the coffee shop with your CN car park outside still working well, or we'll be in the shop scratching our heads. My thinking is I'll enjoy that coffee.
I think if hindi dumating ung mga chinese cars hindi mag step up ang mga japanese cars in technology parts. grabe delay na delay ang tech ng japanese cars sa ph compare sa us or europe di ko alam bakit hinuhuli thats why daming naattract sa tech at price ng Chinese cars. sana dumami ang parts pra di mahirapan ang mga owners sa mga repairs.
That's a great observation! The technology on Japanese cars is so way behind that is almost unbearable to watch on car comparos against Chinese cars, let alone the price differences.
I've been saying this for a long time. Ambon ambon lang ang sa Pinas when it comes to features and tech ika nga namin. Imagine my disappointment with Nissan when I bought my 2019 mid-variant Navara that still has an old school 2 din stereo. May around view monitor pero hindi man lang naka touch screen. Don't get me started with the all-plastic interior. Even the New top-spec Nissan kicks' build is no match to the build quality and materials of its Chinese counterparts (Build lang ha).
Sir Reygan i am having a dilemna, i test drive GAC GS4, car felt so good, quality was so good. Problem is it looks kinda like toyota, too conservative and less techy. Doesnt mean bad naman, but now here is Changan cs55 with more stylish looks more gadgets. Lets be honest, gac being cheaper, but i believe it(gs4) makes up for what it lack by good comfort and interior build. Wich car feels better to ride and drive cs55 or gs4? If we forget about techy stuff and features.
Chinese reliability isn't the issue. The concern is: "Do they have the guts to stay in the Philippines for the next 20, 30, 40, 60 years and provide service to the Filipino people even for end of life vehicles"? Toyota had been with us for a very long time, so as other Japanese and Korean brands. A 200km or 300km Vios is an easy fix for godsake! Meanwhile I kept seeing Chinese dealerships pop open, then after a few years their dealerships are abandoned. Doesn't really spell a vote of confidence for these Chinese brands.
Honestly I feel Chinese car brands will treat their cars like how Chinese phone manufacturers treat their phones... Yes the product is jam packed with tons of features for a lower price. But Chinese phones get only a max of 2-3 years of support from the manufacturer. After that, the phone becomes obsolete and it breaks down, forcing you to buy the latest model from these Chinese companies. I feel that is the same thing that will happen to these Chinese cars.
You are correct with the 3 years or maximum of 4 Android versions OTA Update(Same with Samsung BTW), but My Xiaomi Mi 9t pro is almost 5 years old. Still faster than my wife's Samsung. It's the hardware that's keeping it alive.
I don't know about cars getting cheaper because of Chinese cars. It seems "ALL" the cars are raising prices regardless of Chinese competition. Even Chinese cars are matching the expensive prices of known brands. That said, it is nice to have more options.
But aside from that okay naman talaga..
I really want a coolray back in 2021, drive tested it I was blown by the specs. it has feels of you having a euro car with the amount of technology with it. My second option was an mg zs however, my bank at that time are charging high down-payment for Chinese cars at the end I opted to a suzuki car. Now in 2024 i seldom see geely and mg at the road compare 2 to 3 year ago. Although I had notice alot of GAC and couple of changan lately Ps also cherry
Masyadong gigil yung mga chinese car hater, de wag kayong bumili problema ba yun. Competition is always good for consumers so I don't see the point on the hate lmao.
How can you see chinese cars breaking down on the road if there are few people using them COMPARED to japanese/korean brands? have you seen any 1990s model chinese car running in philippine roads? How many cherry QQ have you seen running compared to a 1990 Toyota Small body??? It's not hating china cars but in reality, the quality and durability is not there yet for chinese cars..BUT yes they have improved in the last few years! Nice video by the way!!!
The truth is, Apple products are made in China, as are DJI drones, and both are considered quality products with class leading tech. The only issue will be if the PRC goes to war over Taiwan, which will lead to embargoes on Chinese products, and World Wide shortage of parts and tech for lots of products, not just Chinese ones, since so many products feature tech and parts from China. Also, most Chinese car makers have partnerships with Western or European car manufacturers and they have learned a lot from that.
Both of my two favorite car RUclipsr are together and I am about to get a JAC J7, what a coincidence. I am more confident to move to JAC now..been driving a Kia past 9 years . Kia is too expensive now . JAC J7 is affordable and has 1000 times better options than these big brand. Salutation to both of you from Dubai 🫡
On year 2022, we decided to save money to buy a car, then I was researching all the car brands for the best value for money, there was geely coolray at the time where it's so popular (But it's a chinese car). So people are saying no to chinese cars, go for toyota because of reliability and resale value. So I look into the raize, quite good also for the price. Then year 2023 comes, and Yaris Cross took over the country by storm, and I was wow, this is the car that I am looking for, Japanese car, full of tech same as Geely Coolray. All the reliability stuff is really influencing my decision that time. Until 2024 comes, I learned that Yaris is not a real toyota, then comes next the issues of fake safety test of DNGA platform cars. I said, wait a minute, wtf is this. I already forgive the lack of power of the car compared to the geely coolray and this? I think to myself, is toyota really reliable, or that is just what the ppl says? (I know the real toyota are good) So I decided to switch to mitsubishi the xpander cross. I did not go for the coolray because of the fresh issue aftersales that time. I considered Chang-an, but it's still new here in cebu. Then, that was the time I discovered "The One", MG One. We look into the Casa of MG, and The One is really nice and beautiful, it has the power that I really wanted, and a sunroof. But I did not give up yet to my Yaris Cross yet, I went there and check it out also, but the difference was night and day, in terms of build quality, features and power. MG One feels so premium. To add we were planning for the V variant of yaris cross. In the end we bought the MG One. It's a chinese car, I know the issues in WPS (to be fair, japanese were demons also who sluttered our contrymen), I know what everyone will say, but I trusted my own research and judge the outcome objectively from there. So for me, what I can say is we deserve better from what the japanese manufacturers are offering us. More tech, lower price, good quality, etc. (They are just making use of our mentality that japanese cars are perfect and reliable which is a total BS.) Be open minded guys because we deserve better!
Alam mo naman ang pinoy kahit branded pa na sasakyan yan after 6-7 years nagpapalit na ng sasakyan dahil yung iba sakitin na lagi dinadala sa autoshop. Hahahaha
Yes, it is reliable, pero yung chinese cars ay most likely to breakdown. As a youtuber mas ok po na meron kang isa para may idea tayo at ma long term review. Thanks

Correction, China is the largest automobile manufacturing in the world ! Not USA
you both are doing nice car reviews.. greeting from germany
I think engine wise okay na sila lahat..ung maliliit na pyesa lang mejo nagkakatalo.. ung korean car ko twice na napalitan ng clutch cylinder wala pang 5 years.
Although I had notice alot of GAC and couple of changan lately
Ps also cherry
there are still a lot of geelys on the road. apart from the coolrays, the geely emgrand is selling really well.
Masyadong gigil yung mga chinese car hater, de wag kayong bumili problema ba yun. Competition is always good for consumers so I don't see the point on the hate lmao.
Both of you are excellent 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
How can you see chinese cars breaking down on the road if there are few people using them COMPARED to japanese/korean brands? have you seen any 1990s model chinese car running in philippine roads? How many cherry QQ have you seen running compared to a 1990 Toyota Small body??? It's not hating china cars but in reality, the quality and durability is not there yet for chinese cars..BUT yes they have improved in the last few years! Nice video by the way!!!
Nice topic 👏👏👏
On year 2022, we decided to save money to buy a car,
then I was researching all the car brands for the best value for money,
there was geely coolray at the time where it's so popular (But it's a chinese car).
So people are saying no to chinese cars, go for toyota because of reliability and resale value.
So I look into the raize, quite good also for the price.
Then year 2023 comes, and Yaris Cross took over the country by storm,
and I was wow, this is the car that I am looking for, Japanese car, full of tech same as Geely Coolray.
(I know the real toyota are good)
So I decided to switch to mitsubishi the xpander cross.
(They are just making use of our mentality that japanese cars are perfect and reliable which is a total BS.)
Be open minded guys because we deserve better!
Nice Collab!!!
China is number one!
Only time will tell
if you tend to hold a car for 15-20 years, mapapa isip ka. kung 5 years lang, make won't matter.
Alam mo naman ang pinoy kahit branded pa na sasakyan yan after 6-7 years nagpapalit na ng sasakyan dahil yung iba sakitin na lagi dinadala sa autoshop. Hahahaha
Nice Nice Nice!!
Start doing EV cars too, coz that's the next trend
The question is, what do these guys drive? What cars do they have personally? Is it China cars? If not why?
Reygan bought his mom a Tiggo 7 pro. Ewan ko lang kung ano personal cars nila.
Reygan drives a mazda mx5 i think.
Japan, China, Korean, at Elon Musk Tesla lang ang malakas ☺️
Hello ulit mga Hyeong.
NO, they are not.
Reiability is a myth due to planned obsolescence. What I want to know is if they are safe.
This is a valid concern, and I'm about to find out. Wish me luck.
more safe than bare striped japanese cars.
new chinese cars now adays are loaded with lots of safety features as a bare minimum even at base variants
Yes, it is reliable, pero yung chinese cars ay most likely to breakdown. As a youtuber mas ok po na meron kang isa para may idea tayo at ma long term review. Thanks
I agree. Or have a couple of owners of Chinese vehicles do a review with you. Someone who has had their cars for at least 3 years.
Chery Tiggo is realible.
We have a Chery Tiggo 7 and a Ford Territory. Owner update video coming soon.
@@ReygansRides Thanks! Hoping for a comparo of the 2 👍
Sir Reygan, waiting for a comparo of your mother's Chery Tiggo 7 Pro and your brother's Ford Territory. Thanks in advance! 👍😊
Made in bullychina
Not as reliable pa rin china cars, alam nmn natin yan
Basta geely owner pulubeng squatter
HAHAHAHAHAHA
😂😂😂😂
