I have a decent video breaking down how to use each spell from my point of view on my channel, it's a bit older video so it doesn't go over explosion spell, but I don't use the spell either and I don't really recommend it. Explosion is a good spell for making space and stopping a rush but you can use other spells that accomplish the same goal and deal more dps or other perks such as slow(lightning strike and ice bolt for slow, fireball for anti-heal), etc.
I think it would be pretty cool to see some in game breakdowns. more thought based stuff, even outside of fights it would be interesting to see gamesense choices ie: why hold this angle, why not hold from here. thought process on dealing with mobs, stuff with how you approach a team, etc. I think it would be nice to see a whole run and a few extra fights rather than just fights.
Also do you have any advice to low gear wizards? I find myself constantly getting caught in Goblin caves and outsped by rogues and hastened fighters who close the game to quickly for me to shoot slow or get a spell off. Is it better for low gear wizards to just run naked for the speed benefits?
@@notisaac3693 Ice shield,Reactive shield, Arcane mastery, fire mastery. U can run 10 spell or 5 spell with arcane shield both work but with arcane shield i can missplay more and still kill people. But u run out of spells a bit quicker so thats the only down side
How do you feel about perks when you’re at a high tier level of gear? I feel like frost shield saves me a lot from rogues/the off chance someone gets on me but it’s hard to justify losing quick chant/melt/etc
@@iLoveAmuroNamie The rest of the stats you get from Will don't do much (also buff duration is only on yourself) and Magic Power is better than Will because it gives you more.
if im running 10 spells without campfire out the ass, it still seems like it would be slow getting back from only resting. does the added page of spells outway the more time it takes resting them back up?
Yes, the extra down time is worth the extra utility you gain, and it’s a rule of thumb to campfire after every fight anyways if you used too many spells
Fight breakdown would be huge. I find it difficult to decide who to hit with spells/which spell would better to use in certain situations

Only class I’ve yet to have a good wipe on is wizard. So happy for guides like this it really helps

Doesn’t Explosion scale better than zap? I’ve seen 60-70 dmg explosions which could make it worth
It does have higher base damage but the issue with explosion is the delayed damage
@@benasv Just wondering, as it is possible to "spam" it isn't the delayed damage not a bad thing, it can allow to burst someone ?

As a rank 10 wizard, i wouldnt suggest these perks in solos.
i mean my guide is extremely biased to trios/meta gameplay as thats what i do

whenever i run explosion, i never actually use it
what stats should i prioritize?
Knowledge to about 40 then max vigor and added mag on hat cape and jewelry

What to aim for when trying to scale dmg? Will or magic power? Additional magic dmg is much more scarce now
Will is borderline useless since it only gives 1 magical power %. In terms of magical power you try to aim for 40-60%

Is movement speed a good stat for wizard?
It’s good but not as necessary since you have access to slow and haste. Hp is more reliable since you mainly die to rogues
