I have been playing the project a all season and to be fair it really plays a lot more like a nxt tour than anything more premium. Thought I was getting good spin then hit it next to a TP5 and a Bridgestone tour and it wasn’t comparable
I use the TP5 and love it. If you dont mind me asking, how do you know they are the same? do they just feel similar or are the insides actually the same?
This is exactly what I use. I'm not quite good enough to use the TP5 all the time yet I get very good results with the Project A. Where I play in Australia it is extremely dry and the ground is extremely hard which does make the higher compression balls much harder to hit when not on the tee.
I play Pro V1 Not the x, I found a TruFeel. and I could not believe the distance I was getting with the driver, but the spin around the greens will take some getting control with, you just need to drop the ball in 2-3 yards earlier . Best results gainst PROV1 I have had ever.. Great Video James.. ,,Cheers
I tried the Trufeel today and was quite impressed with the feel of the ball and the performance. I felt I hit it farther and it had good spin into the greens. Pretty good for the price.
I prefer real life testing vs trackman for sure. Give me real world results! Great review. Switched to Trufeel three weeks ago. Real surprised by its performance so far! Great ball
Titleist sent me a sleeve of these to test and I just had a go with them today. I was impressed straight off the first tee. Good distance and very good feel. it also putted very well. Cheers from across the pond in sunny Las Vegas.
It's 2021 right now and I played a bright yellow Velocity for the last two holes on Saturday. I immediately noticed a much-needed higher bombing flight off the driver and it spun just fine on a full SW into the last green. Budget balls are OK in my book.
I am a 5 handicap and prefer a two piece ball for distance bcuz I produce enough spin 4 them to stop. Currently playing the Callaway diablo but now that we are getting into colder weather I am looking for a softer ball & after watching this video I am going to give these Titleist's a try.
I have used loads, mainly tour balls . I always go back to Bridgestone tour bxs , but I tried vice tour the other day and increased distance but not good on stopping . I was going to try these .
We have come a long way from Spalding green Canada Cup Dunlop 65 , Wilson Pro Staff, Ram Golden, Top Flight , Faultless and Royal octagon .... just to name a few ..... So far so good
James that was your best video..we just got the new ball here..so it was nice to see the difference..wish you could have done it with the titleist AVX.. But my opinion is pro v1x is pure distance ..pro v1..is more feel and putt straighter..AVX ..is distance plus feel and far better putt straighter..and cost less..
Adding to the last - I'm a mid-handicapper, I've been hitting TP5 because they feel nice. TRUFEEL on course for me - Very long off the tee, longer than a similar shot with premium ball. There seems to be more spin and launch on approach shots with all irons. On the green putting they feel great and soft. These are the attributes that I liked with the premium ball, and this is the first cheaper ball that I've played that feels similar, but seems to perform better for my game. I didn't notice the benefit of the alignment aid.
I think you nailed it at the end, where you said about beginners and mid handicapers , since the average player is a 16 handicap, it would suit probaly 60% or more of golfers, thats a big market for titleist.
I use Titleist velocity golf balls not because there cheaper but they fit the shot I want . I want to try the AVX because I feel they would help me out alot but you never know just need to get on the course and try them out.
@ around 20 mins in both ‘BALLS’ reacted nicely and has convinced me to try these. Usually pro v1 / Bridgestone tour b Xs but Velocity in winter- can’t get those others to the hole! These yellow ones may just be the ticket. 👍🏽
I'm playing with a really good condition Nike ball that I found in the bucket the last time I went to the driving range. Haven't lost it yet so I'll keep going until I do. I normally play whatever I can get cheap and have 20-30 random balls (mostly old top flites) in my bag.
When I played two brands quickly separated themselves from the pack. Titleist and TopFlite. Further use over the course of a couple seasons allowed me to determine the differences between the two. TopFlites were consistently longer than than Titleist. The Titleist was more consistently accurate. Over the course a couple seasons however my average score with the aTopFlite was lower. The difference in distance more than offset the difference in dispersion.
Definitely got a bit.more.distance this year with prov1, but also use srixon soft feel and not a lot of difference I've found. Trufeel sounds like a ball to try next!
11min mark...trufeel launched "into orbit" with less spin so carried further and stopepd quick purely due to decent angle. i guess the only time the prov1 extra spin pays dividends is closer to the green, half/pitch/chip shots.....thoughts?
Balls - great video, great to confirm as a high handicapper, I don’t have to spend twice as much on balls to get nearly the same performance. I moved to Calloway chrome soft from ProV1 and have cut 7 strokes off my HC. Interested to see what I can tell any difference with the TrueFeel “Budget Balls”
I'm actually using the Callaway ERC soft. Mainly because it's a bit cheaper, the triple track and it's lower spinning but still soft. Using the AVX as well. Also BALLS :)
I find I lose distance with ProV1's but I think its because my swing speed is not fast enough so I use mid priced balls to try and get more distance but still get some spin into the greens
BALLS! As a high handicapper who’s just getting back into golf after a while away from the game (and as a new subscriber to both this channel and GolfvlogsUK), for me it’s a no-brainer... Trufeels for me all day long (if I had to buy them that is!) 😂
The TruFeel is a two piece ball, as opposed to the ProV1 (three piece) or ProV1X (4 piece). It is a very soft ball (actually doesn't have a compression rating other than "soft" by Titlist), which implies that it is well under 65 compression. Very soft and thin cover with a very "bouncy" core, which is a major difference in approach with the premium ball lines. The multiple layers in the ProV1 lines are there to give better spin control on short irons and they are at least 90 compression balls, intended for higher swing speeds. I hate yellow balls, but I might be tempted to try a sleeve of these in the white, as my best driver swing speed these days is only about 90mph. Been playing Snell MTB Blacks for the last couple of years, 85 compression and about the same price as the TruFeel, so a soft ball with extra bounce may suit me better. Who knows?
BALLS I've been playing Bridgestone e12 soft in matte red. I like playing colored balls. makes them easy to spot and pick out mine over someone else's ball
BALLS!! I use Srixon Softfeel and the Pinnacle Rush and Soft and I cannot see or feel any real difference between them. Is this a Pinnacle with a new name and price?
I prefer to use Wilson DX3 or Callaway Chromesoft when playing a competition. However in roll ups I'll use whatever I can find in the bag as the course has 16 holes of full on water hazards!
Oh “BALLS”, more options! James I’m currently gaming Callaway SuperSoft, but got a couple of 2 ball sleeves off Titleist at Women’s British Open at Woburn to try. Out of the two, DT TruSoft and Tour Soft, I was leaning towards Tour Soft. Now wonder if it’s being replaced by new Tru-Feel? A dozen yellows will be purchased, unless “BALLS” gets me some 👍 ps loving Aphrodite Hills vids keep em coming..
Titelist has already put the new alignment on a pro v1, look for the "enhanced alignment" pro v1's, which may not have been out yet when this was filmed. Balls btw
B-a-double l-s BALLS. I have always used the DT Solo, then TruSoft, now probably Tru-Feel. The money and how they fit into my game, just makes the most sense.
I definitely play budget BALLs. I'm only in my second year of playing and I finally got two sub 100's this year.
Speaking of “Balls” I recommend everybody to try the TaylorMade project A, exactly the same as the TP5 and cost £26 for 12
I have been playing the project a all season and to be fair it really plays a lot more like a nxt tour than anything more premium. Thought I was getting good spin then hit it next to a TP5 and a Bridgestone tour and it wasn’t comparable
Callaway Super soft has worked well for me especially the yellow ones
Completely agree, I’ve used those and they perform really well. You can pick that 15 pack up for £20 on golf online
I heard this ball is pretty good being half the price of ProV1. I’m looking forward to trying the new ball.
I play Pro V1 Not the x, I found a TruFeel. and I could not believe the distance I was
getting with the driver, but the spin around the greens will take some getting control with, you just need to drop the ball in 2-3 yards earlier . Best results gainst PROV1 I have had ever.. Great Video James.. ,,Cheers
Balls. Thanks James. I think that live testing is a better indicator of the performance of a golf ball. No one plays with consistency of a robot.
"Balls" I work at a course so I pretty much play with what I find
Exactly ,I wait until I find a dozen pro v’s then play with them.
I was hoping they were going to call it the “Am-V1”
"Balls" I'm such a bad golfer I always need more balls.
I tried the Trufeel today and was quite impressed with the feel of the ball and the performance. I felt I hit it farther and it had good spin into the greens. Pretty good for the price.
Balls........ I play the Snell MTB-X. Very satisfied.
I prefer real life testing vs trackman for sure. Give me real world results! Great review. Switched to Trufeel three weeks ago. Real surprised by its performance so far! Great ball

“Balls” currently using matte red Wilson’s. Very good ball for the money
Balls. Like video shows as a golfer new to game you can find a pretty good ball to use and will give spin in close and good distance off tee.
We have come a long way from Spalding green Canada Cup Dunlop 65 , Wilson Pro Staff, Ram Golden, Top Flight , Faultless and Royal octagon .... just to name a few ..... So far so good
Just purchased a dozen Wilson staff dx2 yellow BALLS to try over the winter. These would be great to try too.
James that was your best video..we just got the new ball here..so it was nice to see the difference..wish you could have done it with the titleist AVX..

Balls ( I’m a 6 handicap and currently trying different balls that are affordable and decent. Thanks James )

James - Love your videos. "Balls". What is the competitor golf ball to these, the Calloway SuperSoft or the Tailor-made Project A?
Playing the Wilson DX2 and DX3, i like the soft feeling and they work perfectly for my golf.
I'm playing with a really good condition Nike ball that I found in the bucket the last time I went to the driving range. Haven't lost it yet so I'll keep going until I do. I normally play whatever I can get cheap and have 20-30 random balls (mostly old top flites) in my bag.

Been playing these trufeel for last few months great ball great soft feel off the putter best ball for the price I would say
BALLS - Tried the previous model. Liked the yellow colour, decent performance
Bought some yesterday. Looking forward to hitting hem on the course.
I work my summers at a golf course so I have gotten to try a lot of different "balls" and I really like the TP5 myself.
Really enjoyed this video, I actually found a TruFeel and loved the feel with my putter! ⛳️
Definitely got a bit.more.distance this year with prov1, but also use srixon soft feel and not a lot of difference I've found. Trufeel sounds like a ball to try next!
Interesting. I’m playing with Wilson DX2 soft at the moment. Which I like hitting into the green and the putting. Might try these soft feel.
11min mark...trufeel launched "into orbit" with less spin so carried further and stopepd quick purely due to decent angle. i guess the only time the prov1 extra spin pays dividends is closer to the green, half/pitch/chip shots.....thoughts?

Balls. Still searching for the right replacement for the Maxfli Tour Patriot!
Balls,,, currently use velocity and great off the tee but need something softer for irons and putting
I'm actually using the Callaway ERC soft. Mainly because it's a bit cheaper, the triple track and it's lower spinning but still soft. Using the AVX as well.
Also BALLS :)
BALLS, Hi James, Great videos keep em coming, looking for a good all round Ball for the winter and this review has sealed it for me. GOOD Job
Balls , I'm a Pro V1 player Myself using the
716 AP1's , Vokey Wedges, An Oldie but goodie Whip Stick 905R,
And the 910F 3W.
Trufeels for me all day long (if I had to buy them that is!) 😂
I also reached the fairway over the canyon at Aphrodie Hills, 15 years ago with hcp 20😁 Thank‘s for the Video as always👍🏻
Balls! Ive just changed to the titleist tour soft, they seem good so far!
Balls... I am currently using Taylormade RBZ, I like them a lot...
I got a sleeve of those balls but o have to wait until I recover from back surgery until I cam try them.
Hi James, I played the True Feel for a year but recently tried the Taylor Made Noodle Long and Soft and I actually like the goofy named Noodle. 😊🏌️♂️
BALLS...I am looking forward to picking up a sleeve of these.
The TruFeel is a two piece ball, as opposed to the ProV1 (three piece) or ProV1X (4 piece).

I've been using the pro v1 But being a high handicapper I lose a few in the trees and lakes. Good Review.
I'm in love with the Titleist Velocity, but will give these Balls a try
BALLS
I've been playing Bridgestone e12 soft in matte red. I like playing colored balls. makes them easy to spot and pick out mine over someone else's ball
I will like to play with the new "Balls". After your review of Mizuno JPX 919 Hot Metal PRO, I have just ordered it :-)
Balls ! I use srixon soft feel and callaway chrome soft! Great videos James ! Cheers Mate
"Balls"... I've been playing with the Titleist TruFeel for a while. Great performance!
Ive been using the Vice Pro Soft for several years. Haven’t found anything better. Compare to Pro Vs except for the price
Balls !!! Great video, loving your beginner series too :)
I found they were longer (than Pro v1) with my irons, but shorter with my driver and 1 iron. Pretty sure the compression suits slower swing speeds.
BALLS!! I use Srixon Softfeel and the Pinnacle Rush and Soft and I cannot see or feel any real difference between them. Is this a Pinnacle with a new name and price?
BALLS I currently use callaway chrome soft truvis ball
BALLS 😎 I have been using Snell for most of the summer. The MTB is a great ball.
Should I buy the velocity or trufeel?? Beginner golfer here. Would appreciate a recommendation. Thanks 👍
Balls. Would be interesting to try them up against the Callaway Chrome Soft that I use just now.
just bought a pack of these a few weeks ago, been loving them so far
“Balls” ⛳️ Snell Black
Would you ship them to the states??
Oh BALLS!
Would be interesting to see the Trufeel as it flights into the wind and if it stalls or not 👍⛳
New to the channel in the last week or so...loving the content. Great review, fancy trying these TruFeel balls off the back of this 👍🏼
"Balls"
I use TP5 lake balls. I like the look and feel of them. Cheaper as well
James, I would love some of those True Feel balls! Enjoy your videos!
Balls, normally use srixon soft feels. Will try these
BALLS. I’m using the Callaway Super Soft which is around the £20 mark so would be interesting to see the difference with the budget Titleist.
James......I wanna see you review the mizuno rb tour
3 shots off my handicap changing ball
Ready to try some new “BALLS”. Great vid on the course to show real comparison.
Balls⛳️ love the videos, keep up the good work👍🏻
Balls - heading out with my black light torch after a late golf round when I need some new balls
Balls
I’m a novice/beginner,
I use a Srixon AD333,
I just want to enjoy playing and going for shots not getting stressed about losing expensive balls!
Good honest ball review James. Balls!!!
I prefer to use Wilson DX3 or Callaway Chromesoft when playing a competition.
However in roll ups I'll use whatever I can find in the bag as the course has 16 holes of full on water hazards!
I used to play ProV1x, now mostly Volvik Vivid. Much easier to find outside the fairway that I miss way to often.
Any advice would be great, thanks 🙏
Oh “BALLS”, more options! James I’m currently gaming Callaway SuperSoft, but got a couple of 2 ball sleeves off Titleist at Women’s British Open at Woburn to try. Out of the two, DT TruSoft and Tour Soft, I was leaning towards Tour Soft. Now wonder if it’s being replaced by new Tru-Feel? A dozen yellows will be purchased, unless “BALLS” gets me some 👍 ps loving Aphrodite Hills vids keep em coming..
Balls! What is the compression of these new balls? That may be why the trajectory is different.
Balls ..... definitely going to have a go at them
Balls. Great vid. Was introduced to you by the "peoples non golfer". Informative.
BALLS. Love you content and camera quality.
Titelist has already put the new alignment on a pro v1, look for the "enhanced alignment" pro v1's, which may not have been out yet when this was filmed. Balls btw
Balls - I was just about to order some of these, great vid !
Good luck Graham! Thanks mate!
why not, were all after a Budget & performance James!
As a beginner I am looking for my go to ball as I move away from €6 a dozen decathlon balls so these are a strong contender
BALLS ! currently using Callaway TRUVIS
I will try these balls for sure. Thanks for the review!
Need BALLS Currently using the Pro v1 will have to try the True Soft for my own test
I use the Titliest Tour Soft. Well priced and performs better than the proV 1 for me.
B-a-double l-s BALLS. I have always used the DT Solo, then TruSoft, now probably Tru-Feel. The money and how they fit into my game, just makes the most sense.
Balls! I play what I find, so would be nice to have some shiny new ones for a change
have you tried the vice golf balls
Balls. Great test and feedback as usual.
