Phil Redrow it’s not his speed. It’s that he never loses the phrasing abd intonation. Tommy plays faster but not more musically. Thom documents a song the way it was written and meant to be played. When you listen to Thom you’re getting a history lesson in addition to everything else. He’s unparalleled.
When other people play fast they blow the phrasing. Your playing is always in the groove. Exactly the way it should be played. I’m not sure everyone understands that about your playing. Every part FITS.
