i really admire and respect your husband for taking the time to learn how to do this for you! That is so incredibly sweet and shows so much love between you two!
Hiya I've only just found you as I wanted to see how to use semi cured gel nail strips and watched your video and then kept watching ... You and your husband are sooo sweet ... I could watch you all day and more than likely will now ... Take Care of yourself ... 🇬🇧 STAY SAFE 🇬🇧
I know we don’t actually know much about you and David’s relationship but it really seems so sweet. That must’ve taken a serious chunk of time and dedication for him to learn to do sew ins, very cool
I hope you continue doing hair videos from time to time. I get why you might not wanna open yourself up to people criticizing your methods but Im here for the ride. Ive dyed my hair the same way. Whatever gets me to the finish line in one piece.. Im all here for lol. You both did a great job.💕💕
Same! I enjoy watching people do their hair. I don’t know the first thing about techniques or products, so I’d be the last person that comments in anyone else’s methods. I have thin, sad looking hair, so I just enjoy watching other people do hair.
I admire how open minded you & your husband are 🥹 this is true love to a T! no judgement, loving each others love & helping eachother out. The fact he even TOOK time or even said yes to trying to learn how to do hair is insanely telling what kind of person he is, there’s not many that will do that! I love you guys 😭
As a hairstylist for 10+ years let me give you a little tip that might help when doing your own hair. When bleaching your roots, Try putting some conditioner on your hair from mid shaft to ends, just as a little protection against any over lapping that might happen. Doing your own hair is freaking hard and even I do this when I bleach my own roots. It'll also help with sectioning as well. Hope that is useful!!!
I’m a hairdresser and I love this video. Listen, you have perfect expectations. Is it salon perfect? No. Does it still look and and is actually well done? Yeah. Also, your hubby did this for you. What a sweetie. Just some advice. When bleaching remember to saturate the section. Also, when you put your cap on the process, spray water on the inside. It helps keep it nice and moist in there and the bleach stay active. Great job!
Wow I am so impressed with you’re husbands sew in skills!! That’s is incredibly sweet of him and he’s really good at it. You did a great job with the color of everything! Looks great 😍💜💜
I really love this 💜 This color looks great on you! I also do my own hair (cutting it, coloring and all that jazz) and nails and all the treatments. I was never satisfied with the results after visiting a salon so I became my own 'nail' girl, 'hair' girl, etc. and if I mess up (hasn't happened yet) at least I didn't pay for it. One thing though, my hear is much healthier since I cut it at home. Far fewer split ends, it's much longer and shinier.
I didn't used to enjoy your salon vlog videos but I really liked watching the process of you doing this yourself. David staying up when he's exhausted and doing this for you is the definition of marriage ❤️
Hey Emily! I just wanted to say as I have gotten older, you are currently the only RUclipsr I still watch every new video of. It’s so strange to know so much about you but not know you at all. I have watched you for well over 5 years. You are just so genuine and sweet. I don’t even wear fake nails and I am still always captivated by your art and how much you’ve learned. Thank you for all your hard work over the years. ❤Sarah❤
Let's be honest....DAVID IS THE REAL MVP!!!! Emily ur great to though, xoxo!!! But ur husband is so kind, humble and such a gentle being!!! I love how much he does for u, to help make ur life easier. Such a great man...I'm envious!!!
I relate so strongly to the diy reasoning, I have ocd tendencies and slightly crooked fingers so sometimes nail techs have not overcorrected and just gone with the nail angle so they are messy looking (understandably bc from their pov they are doing it right until i hold my hand flat and they are pointing diff directions)
This turned out amazing!! Can’t believe how shiny it is too! You have mad skills at colour matching. It seems you can do anything yourself. Oh and how amazing is your husband. Defo a hell of a guy!
Your hair looks amazing!! Don't let anyone stop you from doing/posting whatever you want. It's your hair and you're aware of the risks involved with doing your own hair, so screw 'em. I do my own hair as well and I've been doing it for damn near 20 years now. I know that I don't do my hair the "proper" way, but I've only ever severely screwed up my hair ONE time in almost 2 decades. You just have to be careful and pay close attention to what you're doing. You learn what you should, and shouldn't, do just like everyone else. 🤷 I actually started doing my hair again recently. I put off touching up my roots for MONTHS, and now that I'm wanting to do color again (been rocking blonde for almost a year now), I have to get my roots to a decent shade before I can put the color in. I'm going for either orange and red or orange and yellow this time. I've never done orange, so I'm excited.
Honestly, what IS helpful, is you just jumping in and doing it at home, I'm a DIY-er by nature as well 😂 and sometimes seeing someone else do it is all the validation I need to stop procrastinating! Hope you enjoy your Vacation!!
Your hair turned out so beautiful hun! ❤️ HUGE shout out to hubby and his sewing skills 👏🏾🙌🏾. I have locs with some loc extensions on the ends and my goal for this year is to learn how to do my locs myself because hair does get pretty costly to maintain. Enjoy your vacation 😊
The pre-bleach parting seems like such a simple idea that I'm kind of mad I never thought of that. Going to def have to try that when I touch my roots up. ❤️
I love your DIY spirit. My husband has cut my hair on more than one occasions. I'm a firm believer in doing things myself and like you said if you mess it up it won't matter. Its just hair. cut it off, wear a wig. Be your own fabulous.
The finished result is gorgeous!! Maybe do a shadow root to correct the yellow spots. Like a darker purple or blue tone for sure would look fantastic! Also a big yes to haircontent. I remember watching you years ago and i also like to do my hair at home (it's so therapeutic) 💜
Emily you inspired me to order all of the things I need to start out doing my own gel-x nails and let me just tell you, I am ecstatic! Seriously I cannot wait to start my own self achieved form of art. I don't know if I'll ever be as good as you are but I will certainly have lots and lots of fun trying. 😊 I love you Emily! 💕 You're such an amazingly talented woman. ♀️
Tying off sections is such a good idea - I hate bleaching my long hair because it gets everywhere but I just want it on the roots. The iON cream bleach is my favorite too, I get way better results than even high end bleach. Thanks for the hair content - love a good DIY.
Great video. I basically do this technique, but with foils separating. Makes it so much faster and it incubates each section so it lightens more evenly. Love these hair videos.
This really brought me back to how I found your channel in the first place. It was YEARS ago when you posted about removing green hair color. I’ve followed you ever since. 🖤 Thank you for the years of inspiration and entertainment! 💅 💇♀️
The pre-sectioning is genius! I've been putting off doing my roots for a while now because I finally cut out a lot of damage and breakage but next week's bleaching time
I love the relationship you have with your husband and he’s so all in with everything that you do. I’m pretty sure it’s reciprocated by you but I hope you gave her a really fat tip for doing your hair.!!! Have a great trip.
Omg the other day I was just thinking about how much I miss your hair content!! I was so excited to see this show up in my subscriptions! Please do more videos like this Emily! I still go back and watch your old hair videos, that's what drew me to your channel years ago :)
I tie my daughters hair off like that before and after I perfect her parts. She has 4c hair. It helps getting her hair parts perfect, and concentrate on one at a time!
OMG Emily, thank you for posting this video. I was getting my extensions done at a local salon for over a year. Recently, I haven't been able to afford to have my extensions removed, and new ones installed. My hair was grown out for about five months without a move up. I have extreme hair loss due to psoriasis. Your video really helped me understand the installation process. I'm going to have my mom watch this video and install my new extensions. I'd really love if you would continue to make these videos. Anytime I can do something at home and save money, I'll go for it. Thank you so much!
Your Husband is amazing! I love that he learned to do that for you! And I'm the same. I do my hair and nails myself because I just want it the way I want it and that no one else seems to do :)
Emily thank you so so much for sharing this video with us I went to cosmetology school at 18 now I’m 42 and if u ask me I thought a lot of what and how they taught us was no the way to go I love how yours came out❤
I really want to thank you for showing this video, it's the REALEST hair video I've watched ever! I also have been so curious about tape in extensions vs sew in ones. Can't wait to see the nails you do for your trip!💜🖤💜🖤

It came out so good! That was a lot of work, bleaching , dying, and extensions yea that would be so expensive at a salon. you and your husband did a great job!
It turned out so beautifully!! Very impressed with David's sewing skills. I absolutely love JZ extensions! I got their tape ins and the tape is so much easier to take out. The hair doesn't tangle either. So excited for you!!
Aww, Emily you're so sweet. I've been watching you for years and I've loved watching you go through all your different changes big and small. Have lots of fun on your vacation! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Your husband is such an angel omg 😭he did amazing and your hair looks soooo good! Makes me want to dye my hair again even though I just did a few weeks ago lmao
I absolutely love the color! I wish I had the guts to bleach my hair, and do a similar color. I bleached it once years ago and my hair came out orange... I've got dark reddish brown hair. I love that your husband took the time to learn to do the extensions for you! Now that's true love.
Pro tip for parting/styling the back of your own head. I use my laptop (other things will work) and an hdmi cable, I put it behind me and plug it into the TV. That way I can see the back of my head
You really should give yourself more credit! Even though I am not a hairdresser or an expert, I think you both did a fabulous job! I love how it turned out!

Mrs. Ma'am! Can we please give a round of applause for the magical skills of hubby's fingers?! I love the team work that produced this!!
I know we don’t actually know much about you and David’s relationship but it really seems so sweet. That must’ve taken a serious chunk of time and dedication for him to learn to do sew ins, very cool

🥰
What a beautiful result! Your husband is a keeper- the dedication to helping you with your hair is awesome :)

The relationship you and your husband have continues to amaze me. You’re both so dedicated and devoted to each other. It’s so inspiring
I agree, they both have the sweetest hearts!!

it's amazing that your husband learned how to do extensions for you and actually practiced it. that's one of the sweetest things i've ever heard

Definitely more hair videos. Love that David is so supportive. 🤍
I love that your husband helps you! He did so good! Your hair looks amazing. My husband is my helper also!
Your hair looks so good! Love the color. I think it’s so sweet that your husband likes to help with your hair. 💕
