I remember this they cut out microphone off at the end so they can go to a commercial break this was on Soul Train and there was a lot of backlash about that was back in the early 1970s! Back then Soul Train came on once a week only on Saturday mid-morning And so did American Band Stand!

Aretha is everything to me . Singers of today are good .But hey do not WOW! me like Aretha. Aretha died from pancreatic cancer as well as my mother in 1992.A horrible cancer that is undetectable until it is too late .This is the blueprint of my life and this performance is why Aretha is the queen of soul.And the original queen. August 16,2023 marks the five year anniversary of Aretha's passing .
