I for one am as pessimistic as it gets when it comes to climate change, I feel that we will just keep going as we are now and only when climate change starts severely affecting everyone will we even start to take serious action.
The end is inevitable yo, That's just Humanity to ya, if one giant Polluting country takes serious action, which would most likely result in an economical collapse, the other Giant will use this as an advantage to overthrow the Country that takes serious action rather than helping it, It'll be like this until the situation becomes unsolvable and then they'll make a move, Most of the times, Being pessimistic is more accurate and just more realistic than being Optimistic, I personally don't believe in Optimism
I like to think of it like this. We are living to see the start of the collapse of global institutions. Things that have been built upon over the past century. Enormously strained or gone, something better will emerge to take it’s place.
@@tek1645 Optimism makes us feel great for something that is almost impossible to happen, It often ends in Disappointment, We can say, Don't worry about Global Pollution guys, we will solve everything, whereas being Pessimistic is more like, We know we have to be worried for Global Pollution, and we know the fact that nobody is willing to make a difference, Pessimism is more realistic

Why is chat so against veganism? I know chat is insanely dumb but couldn't they at least slightly grasp the morality of causing suffering to other beings or climate change that the next generations have to try to clean up? Does something tasting good really matter that much?
Livestock consume more calories than they produce, something around 40% of the crops we produce go directly to animals and I think for cows we generally get back like 2% of the calories consumed, the longer the cow lives the lower the number obviously, which is why the industries try to make sure the cows get very large at a very young age. If we consume less meat those fields could be made to crops for human consumption.
Given why chat is so against it I think that mostly comes from the age group of his audience, there are a lot of teenagers who tend to be a little edgy and look down on whoever thinks differently than them, or live a lifestyle that is different than how they've been brought up. I'm not vegan or vegetarian personally but I've cut down my meat consumption by quite a lot, when I do eat meat I tend to eat wild meat instead of factory farmed meat.
@@zombor8249 You are right, and I do believe that veganism is an incomplete practice. I find most vegans rather annoying that they care so much about suffering then they proceed to procreate. If one were to totally reject suffering, then one would not consume animal products nor create a baby. I'm pretty sure there's some data that we could feed like 800 million more people if we just gave the crops we used for livestock to people.

just imagine a planet where every weather event is increased in intensity, thats what i'd predict and its probably what would happen if we dont fix our shit
The global average temperature has increased by about 1.0 °C over the period 1880-2016. due to an increased population we may see a rise in temperature of about 1-4°C in the next 100 years. this will change the climate and the way we live, but that's what's been happening forever. for example: The Medieval Warm Period was approximately 1 °C warmer than present, and the Little Ice Age 0.6 °C cooler than present. what i mean by saying this is that: the climate is always changing and humans have adapted and moved to different areas of the world. the only problem now compared to then is that we have much more people. you don't know exactly if temperatures will rise 1 or 4 or 8 degrees or at all in the next 100 years, because we could enter a new ice-age. every 500+- years there is either a warm or cold period. now we are leaving the cold period and entering the warm period. of course human influence on climate exists and is a real problem, just not as life threathening as you may think.
