Hello Jinty and Lou! I was lucky enough to stumble across this episode of your podcast and greatly appreciate your work. I look forward to listening to future episodes as well as past ones. I really loved this episode because although I am a man, I am also transgender and therefore have more similar experiences with autism as young girls as at the time I and everyone else thought I was one. The anecdote about the Hannah Montana bag really stuck out to me as I remember having a similar experience with crazy bands which were these plastic bracelets that everyone was into and when I finally got some they had all moved on and thought it was strange for wearing them. So glad I clicked on this video! And hello Emily! I hope to get your book as soon as I can as it sounds very helpful and comforting ^^ I also have autism and ADHD and was late diagnosed as many AFAB (assigned female at birth) people are and I do think things are getting better for younger autistic kids which is great to see. I appreciate that you are using your voice and your writing to speak about these experiences
Thank you so much for the comment and so happy you found us! We will pass on your comment to Emily, and the book is absolutely fantastic we are sure it will help. Lou & Jinty x
