So do the horses eventually know whats going on with their shoes and start to help or preemptively move to the right position for the trim? They almost look like they are at the spa and are ready for some new shoes. Do new horses to shoes act differently than horses used to getting shoes put on? Do they get excited to see you when you pull in because they know they are about to get some hoof work done? I've always been curious about those questions. Keep up the good work!
We certainly have some that are easier than others but I think most of the horses we shoe rather enjoy the experience! They generally get more used to it and become better behaved. Then maybe they'll even pick their feet up for us. Sometimes we get lucky but normally the first few times they find it a bit scary. That's when it's important to have a good manner with the horses which'll keep them calm.
