I just wanted to say I absolutely love the energy between you two. I love my granney. I've always said my granney, in a family where one uncle speaks Italian, another speaks Japanese and I speak English and French, its really my gran who was the polyglot, speaking different Chinese languages, Cantonese, Mandarin, Shanghainese, Teochew and more. Love your videos too! Thanks. ;)
I tried learning Latin in college and barely survived. I'm in awe of anyone who can learn foreign languages. I hear it's quite fun once you get the hang of it.
(I'm learning Italian) at times certain things are terrifying and incredibly daunting, but once it clicks it CLICKS. It's an incredible--almost out-of-body--experience. It's euphoric.
well, as someone who took latin for six years in secondary school: latin isn’t easy especially if you’re not familiar with romantic languages (eg french, italian) and come from an english-speaking background due to the complex grammar and cases etc. as well as the fact that it is a dead language so you learn it more passively as you cannot really interact with other people
Have a look at the book "Lingva Latina per se illvstrata" by Hans H. Ørberg. It teaches Latin in a very natural way by total immersion. I am currently learning French. I am struggling with it. But I was able to (mostly) understand the french parts of this video. It always boosts my confidence when this happens. As grandma said: Everyone can learn a new language. It is just a matter of time and effort. (Though, I may add, it may be hard if you can't find a learning method that suits your personality.) Ether way, in the end you _will_ succeed with perseverance.
Por favor! Q pasada! Being with your grandma speaking so many lenguages... And not only that but what I find truly fascinating is how you nail down each and every accent. I mean I am from Spain and you both leave me absolutely awestruck by this pure argentinian accent you got going around, the same goes for all the other accent lenguages. Amazing!
This is so wholesome. Loved this and the original vid. Grandma is the kind of person to put her bags down and take a deep breath when asked "Where are you from?"

I’m only bilingual but I was taught both languages as I was learning to speak, so both come naturally to me in the same way. I just know it. I really wish I spoke more languages to that level, but hoping to build on the French I took in high school and uni. Love these videos, I am awestruck! 🙏🏻
When you asked her about whether she has a different personality based on the language she speaks, I also noticed from the previous video and this one that her voice remains the same. Magnificent, thank you for sharing it with us!
She is an inspiration and you can see que sa soif pour les langues est éternelle... I am myself from Venezuela, Italian from my dad’s side but I moved to Montreal when I was 8 therefore I speak French and English fluently in addition to Italian. I loved every single second of the video - specially when she stated that speaking in a certain language feels like being from that place. Bravo!
this video reminded me my grandma and grandpa, the talks we had about the languages they knew (russian, bulgarian, french, turkish)... they both passed away last year, so watching this video made me cry sometimes documenting these nice conversations will eventually become priceless thanks for reminding me good times ♥️

If you had not made these videos I never would have thought of talking to my mom like that so thank you again.
I love watching these videos because I speak three languages and its so nice to hear your conversation even in languages i don't understand. Your grand mother is such a nice women and I can tell you must have gotten that from her(and your parents too )
Years ago, when I was at Disney World with my sister and mom. We stayed in the same room. And in the middle of the night. I started speaking both in Mandarin and English, in 2 different voices, a man and a woman... talking to each other... apparently...
Beautiful video, and very insightful!!! Watching this reminds me of sitting for dinner with my teta (Grandmother in Levantine Arabic), I would sit and ask questions and just listen to her stories about life. By virtue of her and I speaking English, French and her mother tongue Arabic, it is always just so HUMAN (as you express in the video about language, it's such a humanly rooted experience). Now I've moved away from home I miss her stories and want to sit with her again someday soon.

I didn't have grandparents growing up. Nathaniel what you have with your Grandmother is priceless!! And now you have these videos to watch anytime you miss her! Que bueno!
Now I wanna learn all the languages they were speaking
This could be a whole channel in and of itself. Absolutely loved this exchange and can't wait to (hopefully) see more of your grandma in future videos!
Learning a new language opens so many doors in our lives, there's a lot of stuff to know and learn from another cultures, btw as a Brazilian I can say that you speak Portuguese very well and u sound like a Portuguese.
Dude cherish this relationship with your grandma as much as you can, it is precious! Fortunately she is young so you will have her around for a long time 🙂
Me: I can speak two languages fluently, isn't that cool?
Nathaniel: I can speak six languanges fluently and just started to learn another twelve.
Me:
What languages do you speak?
@@josuechavez5465 He seems to speak English and have an Italian name, so I would guess English and Italian :)
Eh !
I wish I will have her same curiosity and cleverness at her age! I remember my Grandma used to speak with me in Sardinian dialect, I’m very bad at speaking it but I can understand everything even now she’s gone for years… Viva le nonne
i just love the way that he speak portuguese, mixing the 'r' of Rio and Portugal on the same words
It’s so beautiful when your grandma is your best friend and a role model at the same time. God bless you both!
Thanks. ;)
God, this is insanely sweet and mesmerizing.
When the two worlds, separated by generations, meet and spins in synchronism, sheer magic is born.
You both killed me! I adore all these languages you speak! 💗 Can't stop listening!
they're so chill, I could literally watch them for hours.
Big hugs for you and your lovely grandma!
Your relationship with your grandmother is just beautiful.
@@kristianmarchand8047 wow, just the way you describe it makes me want to get back into it. Good luck with the Italian!
@@writeitdown2013 You should, and thank you!
well, as someone who took latin for six years in secondary school: latin isn’t easy especially if you’re not familiar with romantic languages (eg french, italian) and come from an english-speaking background due to the complex grammar and cases etc. as well as the fact that it is a dead language so you learn it more passively as you cannot really interact with other people
Have a look at the book "Lingva Latina per se illvstrata" by Hans H.
I'm just feeling very emotional about the beautiful connection they both share. So wholesome and wonderful 💝
I am from Greece and I have to say that her pronunciation is SO GOOD! 🇬🇷
💯💯
Por favor! Q pasada! Being with your grandma speaking so many lenguages... And not only that but what I find truly fascinating is how you nail down each and every accent. I mean I am from Spain and you both leave me absolutely awestruck by this pure argentinian accent you got going around, the same goes for all the other accent lenguages. Amazing!
Parece que hace frío ahí afuera !!
Esa abuela se merece un abrazo gigante
This is so wholesome. Loved this and the original vid.
Grandma is the kind of person to put her bags down and take a deep breath when asked "Where are you from?"
I love this because you’ll have these as memories your whole life. All my grandparents are gone and I miss my 3 hour long phone calls with my grandma so much.
Bravo!
Habites-tu toujours à Montréal?
this video reminded me my grandma and grandpa, the talks we had about the languages they knew (russian, bulgarian, french, turkish)...
they both passed away last year, so watching this video made me cry
sometimes documenting these nice conversations will eventually become priceless
thanks for reminding me good times
♥️
You both are amazing! I have always feel strange because I love learning new languages - I speak Portuguese, English, Italian and now I study German and Spanish... I'm very glad to know people like you and your grandmother! You are just the kind of people I want to be! Big hugs from Porto Alegre, Brazil!
This is the coolest and sweetest thing and really makes me want to dive into learning languages more :D also bless you and your grandma, you guys are both super talented and genuine about your love for languages, it's great to see!
Same gurlll, same! Need to work on the ones I already know too 😁
I totally get thie nerdness you're talking about! This is awesome!
As a Berber from Morocco, raised in Italy and having lived in Portugal, France and Canada I can totally relate to everything you said! Mamie tellement adorable 😍
You should involve your grandma more in your videos, it will get you more views for sure. She is such a wholesome person and I feel I could never get bored of listening to her speaking.
You are so lucky to have a grandma like that!
I lost mine when I was so young and last year I lost my mom
Enjoy with your grandma as much as you can. Do it for me!
I don't know if you are going to see this but I really appreciate for this video. Because you guys just inspired me to focus on my French learning much more. And I think I'm no longer scared of talking in French. Merci beaucoup 🧡
This was so fascinating to watch! Truly enjoyed it. I understood English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and could catch some French too. I'm dying to learn Hebrew and French, they're so beautiful and profound. Thanks for reminding me that through this video.
These notifications make my day ❤️ great job Nathaniel like always
Your Grandmother is absolutely wonderful! What a special relationship you have
Muchas gracias :)
You have the best grandma in the world! And it is fascinating how easily you change languages with each other, that the conversation just continues, without any break! Beaucoup de bisous!
For sure this is the kind of video that I love the most,a conversation in a lot of languages at the same time haha,as a language lover, this video is dope👌
Just adding the admiration society for your grandmother. She’s a treasure and thank you for sharing her with us all. Also, it’s a joy to see you two interact and the mutual love and respect. You’ll treasure your time with her. Good for you realizing that now and not when she’s gone.
"It's amazing how much you can accomplish when you believe in yourself, right?"
This sentence sums up the whole concept of this video, and it's also the secret to a fullfilling life in general.
The very first video I saw on your channel was the part 1, when you were talking to your grandma in diferent languages and I just loved it. I think it's amazing how our brain has this capacity of learning diferent languages. I'm not good at studying by myself but I love learning languages and that was really inspiring to me :D Love your content and the way you see life! Thanks for sharing ;D
I loved the previous video and I love this one as well, it just makes me feel so good from the inside. I want to make a similar one with my mom, who is literally my favourite human being in the world, and talk in Greek, Albanian, Italian and English. If you had not made these videos I never would have thought of talking to my mom like that so thank you again.
I Love this video! it's so cute how you guys talk together😀 best regards (POLAND)
Wow I love how your grandmother explains the words and meanings
I love watching these videos because I speak three languages and its so nice to hear your conversation even in languages i don't understand. Your grand mother is such a nice women and I can tell you must have gotten that from her(and your parents too )
Years ago, when I was at Disney World with my sister and mom. We stayed in the same room. And in the middle of the night. I started speaking both in Mandarin and English, in 2 different voices, a man and a woman... talking to each other... apparently...
You should go see an exorciste!
