  • Some people have asked where I get mt tools, well garage sales, flea markets, but mostly pawn shops, after my fire I have been trying to replace all my tools with used tools, mostly American made and I show how I am cleaning, polishing and general restoration of these tools. Tools make me money or save me money, easiest way for a poor boy like me is to make money is to save it!

Those PROTOs, Plomb breaker, the Jamestown Crescent, and the Snap-on made whatever you paid for this haul worth it. Your thoughts on Japanese steel are very helpful. Great vid, Ty.

That's a excellent haul for 60 bucks! That's the same as I do, buy a whole tool box or pail full, sort the best for my myself and the rest go to work. Sorry that you lost everything in a fire.

Yea, the fire sucked, but starting over is not so bad, I am buying everything used and trying to have fun at it.

@@billgray7914 The Klein hammers alone, new cost 60 bucks, the adjustable wrenches new are 50 bucks, and I understand that they are used, but when I am done they will look it, new that is, and tools for me make me money or save me money, and poor boys make money first by saving it, so saving money on tools to make money means I can buy T-bones an Rib eyes more often!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I learned that Gedore, one of the best tool manufacturers in the world, used to have wrenches made in India. I googled: a lot of those ended up in the USA and gave them a bad reputation, they stopped doing it in 1986 and apparently they don’t like talking about it, lol

I am going to look that up, when I was a kid we use to find Gedore tools everywhere, especially when we lived around a military base, wonder why?

The dear Lord was smiling on you with that haul. You have to try electrolysis... It is cheap and it WILL get rid of all the rust so you don't have to paint over anything.
