If you look closely just after takeoff, you can see the decals explode into confetti. It's funny, as I was watching, I thought at first it was birds in the background. Then I thought about what he said about the decals being junk....and I thought, hey that must have been them.
Thanks for the review! Regarding the ball turret, European Theatre 8th Air Force B-24s (which is what the silver livery with the black tail stripe is) did not use the ball turret to save weight and increase bomb loads. This info is directly from a late friend of mine who was a Liberator pilot. Even though this is way too much plane for my skill level (very new to the hobby) I want to each one just to honor him, as this paint scheme is from his unit!
I've had one for years now The only flaw I can think of with one are the propellers they break super easy The hubs are very thin I went to master air screw they're the best
Aircraft looked a little tail heavy but she made it back to earth.

So first of all not all b24s had the ball turret I can understand the decals but you can also always get your own made for your plane. I’m still going to buy this plane but also with another non b14 plane so I can learn how to not freeze during flying this beauty

Me too. I have been learning to fly over the pond with tall pine trees next to my house. Got kicked out of all local parks even when no one there and I am flying tiny UMX planes. An RC Club at Christmas has a huge field but too far.

Been flying models for decades. Seems they almost all have shortcomings. It's something you learn to expect. Might have to fabricate your own gear doors and ball turret. It's a hobby after all.
I don't think the b-24d had a ball turret but I could be wrong

Plane turned a little sloppy....and did not look like it tracked very good...
Well in all fairness Tate crashed and destroyed the plane on his third flight citing similar issues. We have a second one (i opted for no factory decals!) and we will see if a good gyro will help.
The props look to be too big for scale?
They are. They're also extremely fragile and props throwing blades have lead to several crashes. Master Airscrew 8x6x3s are the scale size and while they aren't as pretty they're much tougher and give plenty of ground clearance. That's what I'm flying on mine now.
