    The AC180 just needs calibration. Fully charge on AC, fully discharge in one go (using a heater like you did) then fully charge and power off (long press on the button). This sets the BMS to better know where full and zero are so you get a more accurate read on the display.
    You can do the same on all power banks. If you usually use up a lot of the capacity, not needed that often, but if you typically only use a small amount before recharging, doing this every now and again will help display accuracy. As you found the actual capacity isn’t affected, just the display readout.
    Also, larger inverters are inherently less efficient, so you would expect a 1800W inverter to be less efficient than a 1000W, but they are more flexible.

    I have a few bluetti power stations ac 200p, ac200 l, ac70, eb3a Not so happy with the eb3a but the ac70 is very impressive it charges up fast and seems to manage its power very well. I use my power station for off grid camping to run a fridge and diesel heater along with some other things. if I'm going for an overnight ill just take the ac 70 it's a good grab and go unit for its size.

    If I understood the information I reviewed on BLUETTI'S website yesterday...then a KEY point you are missing with the AC180, is that currently that unit's Watt Hours rating is NOT expandable by connecting Expansion Batteries like the B230 or B300. Currently, those expansion batteries can only be used to recharge the AC180.
    In contrast, the AC70 CAN accept the expansion batteries...B80, B230, or B300 and CAN expand its Watt Hours capability. Thus, I ordered the AC70 with an added B80 expansion battery, which increased its capacity to 1000-Watts for 1,574-Watt Hours.

      I'm pretty sure I said that, but if not it was an oversight. I definitely said it in this one! ruclips.net/video/sDKLRr-UZzc/видео.html - thanks for the important comment. You're right that it's a key point!

      To my knowledge it's unidirectional for the AC70, too, whereas AC200Max und AC200L can both bidirectionally discharge AND charge additional batteries.

    I would get the ac70 - if you need longer run time get a solar panel. Unless you need the 2000w inverter for a coffee machine, kettle or induction hob then get the ac180

    I have this model. One major disappointment is that the AC inverter itself consumes 20 watts per hour. This drastically reduces actual operating/ discharge time for low load items. Say you plug in a 20 watt TV , you would expect 50 hour runtime, but the AC inverter steals another 20 watts per hour, reducing runtime to 20 something hours.

      @@hertechprep It may just need a recalibration . Charge it 100% then unplug the charging cord and run it down to 0% using a resistive load like fan or small heater. Do this cycle two or three times. Then try using it normally. It will adjust the computer to what level is full end what is empty. This worked for me, and as directed by BLUETTI service department.

    I think i know whats going on here. the AC 70 is able to supply a higher wattage by reducing output voltage. it's a sort of overboost feature that allows the powerpack to work with more devices.
    I think thats why it appears to have more energy. Try with a reduced load that does not cause the AC70 to drop its voltage.

    • @CampingSecretsUK
      @CampingSecretsUK  9 месяцев назад +1

      My personal view is that it's the same wattage but delivered at higher current with reduced voltage. If the voltage was fixed and the higher current was demanded, the power station would trip - this is what happens on older power stations without this mode
